Possible Ban on 18+ Anime and Manga in Tokyo in 3D!!!!

Maybe an underground Anime might emerge? Or Even illegal Anime/Manga might still be produced.
They do it with drugs, guns, etc, why not with Anime.
Prices will skyrocket for these.
Sounds similar to the Alcohol prohibition in the USA back in the day. If kids don't get their kicks watching hentai, they'll find it elsewhere, which could be a good or a bad thing.

Law passes that gives government the power to censor the airing of Anime with rape, forced sexual situations, or sexually taboo themes within the Tokyo area. The law Specifically applies to shows aimed at children.
What internet hears:
NO MORE ANIME EVER AGAIN FOREVER. WATCHING POKEMON IS NOW GROUNDS FOR A LIFE SENTENCE, NO MORE LATE NIGHT ANIME SHOWS, AND YOU HAVE TO GET TO BED ON TIME AND BRUSH YOUR TEETH. LUCKY STAR IS NOW CONSIDERED CHILD PORNOGRAPHY.

So basically its only what happens in the Tokyo area? So if the companies move out of Tokyo would it resolve the problem? That is a pretty dumb law then.

I fear for what the Japanese government might do to the anime industry because if what Neko said is right, the who's to say what shows are aimed toward children. For all we know, the JG might think Yosuga no sora is a show aimed toward children. Also, its just Tokyo now, but since its the biggest city in Japan, the JG have already gotten control of there biggest target. All we can do now is wait until wednesday.
Then again, I'm just some nobody living in America, so I don't really know anything.

my god. what the hell.... i cant even say how much this disgusts me. i just... god. i can barley even think right now.
okay. first things first, my thought/hope on this is that it will be fought, tooth and nail, till the end, in which it is either reversed, or at the very least revised.
what the hell gives them the right to tell us what we read. if people become an "otaku" then thats there problem not the whole damn country's.
and as long as were taking our info from the sankaku complex, i rember reading a post a few mounths ago, about love plus or something, but there was a statistic in it that 80 percent of Japanese women dont want to marry a man that makes less then the equivilant of 100K[USD] a year.
all im trying to say, is that the problem is not one sided [referring to gameon's post]
@ kaimax. you just reminded me WHY i always should read through a thread before posting *headdesk*
hes right. guys. chill. it wont matter for us at ALL sense 99% of us dont live in tokyo and download our anime anyway. so... chill out.

i agree with kaimax and neko-chan, internet gossip its only makin more scandal of nothing, also as i said, despite jap government doesnt likes, all the economic interests that anime gives to Japan would die if they pass a more several law, and as far as i know all the world needs money.
Not to mention that sadly on this days almost (for not sayin everything), its manipulated for economy purposes (money, in simple words). and i dont think Japan wont let this "gold mine" to die cause there are to many risks to compromise this very lucrative industry...
So for me i guess we dont need to worry, and wait to see what happens.

okay given this is comeing from the sankaku complex i know this sisint all true and a lot of it has to be crap but what exactly is going on because this is pissing me off. so whats going on. I'm as confused as you are on this matter, and I am not 100% sure that all this information is correct but I will in the very least be expecting a Large Restriction on the distribution of Teen and Young Adult oriented anime and Manga. Well, thats all I can get from it anyway...

The end of the world is when lots of people overreact and panicked over something as unimportant as this.

From one of my Eromanga getting site on the topic of the ban... more of a restricting law.

now that i think about it, is this really an issue?
-alot of hentai on the net is censored
-the internet is full of illegal things/leaks etc
-harems aren't funny anyway
The only concern is if they stop all hentai, which won't effect me cos there's lots on the net), but it will never happen
