Possible Ban on 18+ Anime and Manga in Tokyo in 3D!!!!

Japanese Government approved, in a second try a law to regulate violence and sex contents to under 18 people (kids).

A big panic in otaku world this law has become this 156 law approved in Tokio, the objetive of this law its to restrict this violence and sex contents in anime/manga characters that looks like under age (kids). Basically we met this law as the "anti-loli law."

According to this decree, supported by the Democratic Party in Japan, and that only will apply in Tokio, a commission will be created that will check and filter those contents considered as "virtual crimes" (<-WTF?), labeling those anime/manga only to the adult market.

To leave all this clear to all that scared anime/manga fans, which this law says its that from july 2011, a lot of anime/manga that shows explicit scenes of rape, sex with characters that looks like under age (kids), and extreme violence (gore), only could be sell to 18+ people. Not exactly a massive censor (although technically it is),its just a new rules to regulate the public who can read/watch this (technically as its done around the world with porn and movies).

But, the problem is direct implications to the "marketing" commercial level this law has, because this will reduce the market of this genres some anime/manga, therefore will impact and will low the productions of this genres.

Of course all types of protests had been showed in Japan, for example, 10 of the most powerful publishers of manga have warned that they wont assist to the "international anime show of Tokio", the most important event of manga in the city which its organized by the secretary of culture of the city.

Even Naoto kan, Prime Minister of Japan, showed in his blog his desagree with this law, sayin that this regulation should not focus on the censor by the government, instead of that, the appropriate education about those contents to the kids, plus if this happens one of the biggest and important industries for the economy of Japan will be compromised.

Just before this law got approved, and to the pressure of the critics, some of them of the congress, a clause was added, this clause says that by the time this commission checks and filters contents, ideological and social aspects in the arguments and its environment should be respected.
