I'm pretty sure that Sekai was pregnant. What the fuck did Kotonoha expect to see only a couple weeks into a pregnancy?

Technically you could see an egg at that stage but try finding something that's hardly bigger than a grain of sand inside someone's stomach after you knifed them open.
Sekai had it coming though. Lots of people don't think she deserved to die and that she was a victim and shit but she at least deserved to get snuffed in the fucking jaw. Having Sekai help set Makoto up wasn't where it all started; it was after she kissed him. That one kiss got the ball rolling and was really the point where Makoto wanted to go all the way all the time. In retrospect, the show was realistic for about 3 episodes before everything started becoming super dramatic.
Makoto was stupid, lazy, and insensitive to everyone but Sekai destroyed Kotonoha's life. At the end she was a giant hypocrite about it when the situations were reversed and she made a fucking tool out of herself before she died.
And I'm not so sure if Sekai was pregnant. She didn't act really caring in the last episode but she did get ditched for her boyfriend's ex and then had to watch them tongue kiss for about 3 minutes in front of her. Maybe I just hate Sekai and think she's a lying slut but there are pieces to indicate her lying; like why the fuck would you tell people you were pregnant at the top of your lungs in the middle of school?

Also, Kotonoha is the ultimate yandere. I quit started liking her when I realized that she was a complete psychopath. >_>

Only one flaw Raze: Makoto only returned to Kotonoha after every other girl "dumped" him for Sekai's sake. He says that he was really sorry and stuff, but come on, after all this screwing around that's a bit hard to believe.
But I have to agree, Makoto is not as bad as everyone portrays him. He's dumb, sex-obsessed and does not know how to take responsibility for his actions, neither does he know how to care about other people's feelings. He gets stuck in his selfmade mess and doesn't know how to get out anymore, so he ignores the problems instead of facing them.
Sekai is the typical girl-in-love. She wants to get near Makoto and finds out he has a crush on Kotonoha. We all know such a situation from real life, don't we? A friend tries to help someone to get together with a certain person while having feelings for the person he/she wants to help out. Of course she is at fault too, for allowing Makoto to practice with her, for kissing him at the train station, for wanting him for herself even though he's actually together with Kotonoha. I didn't like her character for the most parts, but the last few eps really made her my favourite character. She sees everything she has done was wrong, she gets to know Makoto would dump her for someone else even after she's pregnant (we don't know it, but makoto did believe it) and she tried really hard to get him. Her fault would be not having talked to Kotonoha about the whole issue, or maybe wanting Makoto in the first place. Still, her background story is the most touching, with her best friend leaving and the lack of the ability to face problems and instead hiding from them.
Finally, Kotonoha. Uh, I felt kinda sorry for her in the first half. Betrayed by her friend, bullied by these weird classmates, ignored by Makoto, being pulled away from him by Setsuna. She had noone except her little sister and really seemed to be happy on Makotos side. But he was just too much of a playboy for her (it was actually HIM who contacted Sekai), she should have just dumped him right away after the rooftop scene. If she only had more self-confidence... and honestly, I don't think she "sees through" Sekais "plans" (she never had plans in the first place imo), it's only a form of Paranoia. How she stands there and says "I knew it. There's nobody inside you.", that was just so wrong and shows that Kotonoha spiraled down even deeper into insanity.
At the end, both female main characters are psychically completely through, they both loved one boy who toyed around with them and couldn't make a clear decision. At the end, Sekai has the little bonus of being pitied by me, even if she had some things planned from the start. All three main characters have one thing in common: They can't face problems. Makoto ignores them and therefore hurts the girls; Sekai hides from them and Kotonoha gulps them down and keeps everything for herself, making her mind go mad. School Days was a great harem show while overexaggerating way too much, I take that as a parody on the whole genre aswell. This is the first harem anime where the girls go on a killing spree after being dumped and the male lead is the typical dick, two times. Very refreshing. We need more shows like that, seriously.

I still dislike him though, there is such a thing as "you can't turn back once you have done something". Sekai was my favourite heroine and still is in this anime, but I was just doing some thinking about this during class (lol) and realised that parts of the final episode strongly suggested that Sekai had ulterior motives, which I laid out in the previous post. It's just so unfortunate that she had to fall for such an idiot. She should be with me, RAWR. ><
Thing with Kotonoha is that it was obvious she was deeply and innocently in love with Makoto, as evidenced by how hard it was for Makoto and Sekai to bring up the subject that they were doing things behind her back.
Yes, and I agree that this anime is the first of its kind, as was the original game which it was based on (notorious bad endings, first fully animated bishoujo game). Very refreshing indeed, now that I've had time to cool down from and contemplate the final episode.

Also, if she was lying about the baby, then what's with all the scenes where she's all alone and rubbing her stomach?
And the scene where she throws up before you find out that she's pregnant. It could possibly be unrelated, but there isn't really any other reason to have that scene other than to hint at pregnancy.

I forget the term...But it is possible for women to show signs of pregnancy when they aren't pregnant. IE, the morning sickness.
Whether or not Sekai was pregnant or not can't really be found out. I mean....Koto was all loopy when peeking inside Sekai. Then again Sekai could of only thought she was pregnant due to the fact that she found out about his other womens, like Koto had said.

i don't think that Sekai had any ulterior motives from the beginning...
she just followed her emotions
in fact, everybody had followed theirs
[size=8]and Taisuke was especially annoying[/h]

Finally someone who shares my thoughts :>. That's exactly it, only that in this anime we get more exaggerated and realistic resolutions in comparison to the standard harem shows. There's only one question that bothers me: Is it possible to top School Days? I mean, a harem anime, parodying the genre while being one of the best harem shows ever created itself. Masterpiece :o

...i just had to think that but i don't even have any good ideas myself :P

and why is it like that everybody seems to believe all the crap that Kotonoha was saying at the end?

That's what I don't get aswell, and it starts to really annoy me how people watch a show and complain when they have not even payed attention to what's going on. Even the words of the commonly hated Makoto seem to make sense to everyone at the end...
To everyone who still thinks one of the characters is at fault: No. They are all at fault, while noone wanted it to end like this. The whole story started with a coincidence and there was no plan or whatsoever to pull things out like that. If you watch SD closely, you can see how the characters gradually become what they were in the last ep. They are victims of their own desire, love, envy and hate - of their own feelings.

Yep. As I said in a post way back on this thread I think, it's really nobody's fault. Makoto just happened to have like 50 girls hitting on him, and if girls start throwing themselves at you, it's hard to resist. Sekai (rules!) just couldn't help but allow Makoto to do things to her because she loves him. Kotonoha, who had a fragile personality, got cheated on by the very person who brought them together. It's actually very believable stuff, and ridiculous things like this do actually happen once in a blue moon in Asian countries (killings for love and stuff).
As for the pregnancy thing, nobody knows. Basically, until the very last episode Sekai definitely seemed to be pregnant (with all that stomach rubbing and vomiting). It's just that it's strongly implied in the final episode she may be lying. I can't remember if she took a pregnancy test, but pregnancy tests sometimes go wrong. Also, all that stomach rubbing might just be Sekai thinking how happy she would be if she did have Makoto's baby (assuming she doesn't). Sekai didn't really react in the way a pregnant high school student would during her confrontation with Kotonoha.
Of course, being a Sekai fan, I would have liked to somehow see Sekai get what she wants and be happy (like in the awesome Sekai endings of the game!), but firstly, Makoto doesn't deserve it. Secondly, Sekai did, yappari, cheat on Kotonoha, whether she could help it or not. Kotonoha has every right to be angry. As epitomized by this series, sankaku no kankei are screwed up.

he was rather pathetic...
nobody was there to bitch-slap him in the face and kick him in the mind to get him on the right track and stop screwing around
and his friends were only to making things worse for him
they either just spoil him or they were just selfish
Makoto didn't deserve to die
he should've lived to atone for his sins
and receive the much needed spanking @_@
in the end, he got an easy way out
and he's got Sekai to make things easier for him
he ran away from everything
all the way to his end...
