[Anime] The iDOLM@STER Anime

Announced a little while ago, a new iDOLM@STER anime is coming out for Summer 2011. I personally can not wait to see this one. :D

From the looks of it, it looks like the anime is going to be based on the events between the iDOLM@STER1/L4U and the iDOLM@STER 2. Hopefully they show a little bit of the cast from Dearly Stars.

Yes, the new IdolM@ster anime is widely advertised in the recent few issues of Megami magazine. There is going to be quite a big cast and I wonder if the number of episodes will provide all the characters with sufficient screen time.

There was another anime entitled "Idolmaster: Xenoglossia" screened a couple of years back, but I don't think it was very popular among viewers. Hopefully, the upcoming title will fare a lot better.

I personally was a little let down when I watched the whole Idolmaster : Xenoglossia anime. I had to force myself to finish the whole thing, and the whole anime didn't make much sense to me. Chihaya, for example, doesn't feel right with a yandere personality, and I feel like they were better off keeping Yayoi at a younger age because I just can not cope with the fact that she was the more mature than Haruka, and she needs to be that bubbly, cute, loli Yayoi that I know from the iM@S games.

I am wishing very hard that this time, they follow more closely to the games. I want to see my lovely waifu (Chihaya) in an anime! :D

Looking at the Pictures of the characters.

Looks like it's going to be an adaptation of IdolMaster 2. And because Hibiki and Takane is also present, that must mean it's after the SP series.

And then again The Character designs are from IdolMaster 2, and Idolmaster L4U already has an OVA.

It's going to be long if they decided to tell the events that Happened from L4U -> SP -> Dearly Star -> IM@S 2

So, it's going to be directly from IM@S 2. Hopefully. I'm more worried about the plot.

No it's even weirder if Vocaloid got any anime. Because it's just a character, there's no backstory.

It's not impossible to make an original story, but if they did it wrong, fan rage will occur.so rather than gamble and make one, it's better to not make at all.

Idolmasterhas a back story.
simple backstory.
You're a producer and they're idols, and their dreams is becoming the #1 idol.
It's easy to expand that, where as vocaloid has non "officially".

even though idolmaster has backstory and vocaloid are only characters their more popular, i assumed that a rich company or organization might take advantage of that to make a story that will make vocaloid an anime well that was just an assumption but if you think of it carefully my theory might just happen in the near future. because you have more knowledge in this, your reason is more logical so i have to go with the idolmaster not being weird that it had anime first.

Looks interesting, i don't really know about it, but what will be the anime be about? I might pick it up.

Well, basically about a producer and trying to raise these idols into the #1 Idol. No plot has been announced.

don't get any hopes ups, because it can be an anime that only appeals to the original fans.

This series seems like a lot of fun, and it will be nice to see what it's really like, (to a degree), to be an idol, so I'll be checking it out.

To be honest I'm not too happy there making this. I feel like it going to ruin the games for me.

Please elaborate how it will "ruin" the game.

This anime adaptation will increase the games popularity, especially to those people who keep asking "What's idolmaster?" and for once, we got a "solid" adaptation from another media.

and we laso got UTW's Kusion who's also a big fan of Idolmaster subbing with his team, and sticking the the original terms of the game, so that people won't get confused on how "stuff" works in idolmaster.

Well for me I thought that this would give me more knowledge about the storyline because I played the SPs (Perfect Sun, Missing Moon, Wandering Star) without really being able to fully understand it. Not the first time though.

And as for Episode 1 I guess that since everyone said it is an adaptation of Idolm@ster 2 and I haven't played it, I guess I'mma gonna enjoy the storyline of the anime and I really thought that our main guy won't have a voice and a face XD guess I was wrong.

Lol they're are really adapting this 100%, even the "Producer-San" is also voiceless and most of the time, we're watching the anime from his POV (or most likely the Camera... ROFL). But in the end his voiced and face was revealed anyway, since it would be really strange to keep him silent in all the episodes. XD

So, episode 1 is purely "flashback" an introduction episode, next episode is where the real stuff happens.

The IdolM@ster anime is heavily advertised in lots of anime magazines for the month of June 2011, so I reckon it should receive quite a fair bit of viewers. The OSTs and soundtracks should take on a unique format, although it is purely my own assumption.

Anyone know if the first episode was subbed yet? I'm pretty sure it's out there already, since I heard from a few friends of mine that it was widely viewed yesterday.
