Episode 2-
Spoiler:
I really enjoyed episode two. I like how they tied in a lot of the game references in this episode. I also enjoyed the comedy stuff they had on it too. I was laughing so hard when they dressed up in "adult attire".

What struck me the most was the part with Chihaya. It was directly from the first game during one of the promotions scenes with her. I'll see if I can find that video later. I also found it funny with the Azusa swim-suit reference, also from the first iM@S game.

Crash course introduction video



Might help some to understand a bit. This is not including Takane and Hibiki, since both were not in the Xbox idolmaster, they were prototype characters along with Miki in the arcade game.

Never played the game but... with the hope of this anime being fun, I watched it, and it was entertaining indeed.

Episode 2:
Spoiler:

I lol'd but kinda felt bad when Iori and the others actually did those horrid makeups and all, and the end results of that just me lol hard.

Liked all those shots which were being taken, it really brought out the charms even more of the characters to me.

And seriously... that producer-san is a big baka. >.>
I thought he'd be able to say what kinda dresses they should wear and stuff when Iori was confused, but oh well.

Well, the producer is a rookie and he barely knew the idols, it would be more stranger if he suddenly "knew" what kind of clothes that fits with the character of the girls.

That aside on purpose or not the Producer let Iori, Yayoi, Ami and Mami think for themselves while giving light advices and pushes.

Even when I'm playing the game, I don't even know which costume that they like and at times resulted in a motivation decrease.. lol. it's just more realistic.

Thought her fear of men would be a little more explained, but maybe later? The digging the hole things is cute, but also creepy, lol. Hoping a little more might be revealed about her, since she is becoming one of my favorite characters. Also the letter she left just sounded so adorable in an odd way.


Oh and the ED is awesome. Hoping their is a full version to it.

Yeah, I'm hoping for more information about as to why she's afraid of men and dogs as well. Even though I'm not that big of a fan of Yukiho right now, I still thought that it was a solid episode, and she definitely has the potential to shine so long as she gets over her fears. I'd really like her more if she was always like how she was while she was performing, though.

And looks like next week will focus on Takane, which should be good.

I doubt it, since the game also never explained why. One of the speculated reasons is her Strict dad and his "subordinates".
and I played her Solo route twice, but the only thing she tells is about her father, oh and Yukiho is not afraid of Snakes.

Lol, ALL the ED song is taken from the game directly, so many "versions" should already be floating in the internet.

I thoroughly enjoyed the episode, especially after it was revolving around Yukiho and her fear of guys and dogs. Nothing much to say after this episode but wait until there's one for my beloved Chihaya.


As I speculate around Yukiho's fear of guys, I believe that it has something to do with her father. In the original game, if you go through her route, it kinda hints that her father might be part of the Yakuza or something... We will never know...

Honestly, Yukiho's fear for men is too great, I'd imagine she was almost raped or something in the past by some man? But then again, she's also scared of dogs. >_>

I kinda expected many of the idols to sing this episode, but I guess I expected a bit too much of it, lol.

And also... our protagonist also has fear for the dogs. -_____-

It seems that I don't have much to say for the episode. *sigh*

Enjoyed this episode. Chihaya episode really reflected on her personality and how she works so hard just to sing. Hopefully they'll explain why she has family troubles, since that part of the game really made me cry, and the reason that she is my fave waifu.

Episode 5

Pure fanservice with a sudden plot development.

The basic plot for Idolmaster is starting to take shape.
-the appearance of Touma from Jupiter
-the assembly of the Ryuugu Komachi unit.

And Azusa cutting her hair in the 6th episode.

One of the best beach episodes I've seen in a long, long time. As ImperialX correctly diagnosed for me, I love the fact that we have a beach episode that isn't about 4-5 girls trying to woo a clueless and spineless main character. A good focus on the girls. Then again, I suppose I might be biased because I really like the girls.

Actually- despite there being 14 girls as the main cast- it never feels like that many. Probably for the very reason that it's not a harem anime, with all the girls chasing one guy.

Little late to the party but,

Episode 5 -

Overall good episode. One of the better fan-service episodes I have seen in quite some time. Can't wait for the 6th for Azusa to cut her hair. :D

Funny that he got everyone for the wrong job, sort of. Poor Takane, lol. Miki although seems like she would made a nice addition to Ryugu Komachi, but I guess that plays a part later in the series perhaps?

Might actually consider trying to play through the game series, but right after I finish Queen's Blade Spiral Chaos, some of my other backlog material, and next break off from college, lol.

Sorta not related, but,

IIRC, in episode two, the photo shoot, I remember this scene. I find that the anime is really making an effort to follow the game's original root, which is a positive thing in my book.

Great episode to introduce the new production team. I like how they put a bit of rivalry between the production teams and how Miki got serious.


Ep.7
Spoiler:
Great Yayoi episode. It seemed that it was a bit of both Iori's and Yayoi's episode, but noneoftheless, Yayoi's.
