I feel like i'd be enjoying this Anime alot more if i was familiar with or played any of the games. The show is still great on it's own legs, But a few things might be flying over my head.

You guys know when the OVAs come out? Don't they come out when the PSP games, Shiny Festa, comes out? It's been a while.

Bumping because this anime is awesome. I only have 4 episode left to go but it has been really enjoyable so far. I'll admit, I'm a little bitch when it comes to this anime. I can't help it but I cried ([size=10]lightly[/h]) a few times during some of the emotional moments. Motherfucking love and friendship man... goddamn Chihaya is so awesome...

On a serious note, I really did cry for a lot of the episodes when this came out. Really enjoyed how well they portrayed the characters from the transition from the game to the anime.

I'd pick up the game but they're all in Japanese, right? Or is there any translated ones?

All in Japanese but there are guides out there that are translated into English.

...annnnnd finished. This anime was excellent. Somehow, all 25 episodes managed to remain interesting and the show never got boring for me. I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much but something about it was just really nice.... welllll I guess the whole cast IS composed mainly of smoking hot babes but still, it's not like it was riddled with fan-service or anything.

But that's not quite the right word. What I mean is, I didn't feel anything watching it(though I'm still halfway through), except for a few times it made me chuckle and one time when the only girl I like made me cry by singing. Sorry I don't remember her name but it was quite the scene, when the producer went to find her and she was practicing her song.
But that's pretty much all I liked so far. I liked the first ep when producer-san was behind the cam, and I even thought it would be interesting if the whole anime was like that, but well, who cares.
Maybe it's because I've seen these kind of scenes time and time again where they "try their best" and so on and so forth, the evil girls from the other company who hate them for whatever reason... etc. Now, watching this made me think "hey this isn't too bad but I've already seen it a thousand times"
I'm going to finish it because I enjoy knowing a lot of animes ('cause I like to talk about them, but watching them IS the main entertainment... most of the time), and I never stop halfway through anything, but I was really disappointed. For me, it totally didn't live up to its fame.

Dunno if the Puchim@s!: Petit IDOLM@STER series should get its own topic, given that it deals with the same characters.
Here is my attempt to give Sakaboto a heart attack via cute overload.

Although I am extremely late in watching this particular anime title, I recently completed it.
To tell the truth, I sniffled while watching the last few episodes, during Chihaya's and Haruka's arcs. Chihaya's songs, as well as her seiyuu, Imai Asami, protrayed Chihaya perfectly during her arc.
And on a side note, I purchased a copy of Idolm@ster 2 for the Playstation 3 after watching the anime series.
