What might push me over the edge into a subscription is having the books be part of that as well, or at least a discount in the books. Right now, not only has the amount of content on Fakku been drastically reduced, there is yet another paywall in place behind the paywall, which is a bit discouraging.

If you imply you'd need a subscription to read the books, the answer is no it's not the case, and it would be stupid anyway.

That's nice of you and all but you must think that we, the users, are epic morons to actually believe that you are giving us the whole story. Are you are trying to suggest that you went to Japan and simply had your heart broken after seeing the mangaka artists not getting enough credit and decided to add subscription only to support them? Are you really trying to convince us that you are not getting a huge paycheck for every single click of subscription from publishers and promotion agencies from Japan that collaborate with those artists?? If yes then allow me to say that you can shove that tear jerking story of yours along with your sub up to where the sun doesnt shine. Not only will you lose people that supported this site, like me but be sure that even the hardcore fans will find alternatives to fakku not because they want their mangas as freebies; but simply because you are being a lying douchebag and trying to sweet talk us for subs with words of compassion and flowery friendship towards the mates in Japan. You should be ashamed. You are nothing more than the Tazmo of hentai manga. Fuck you and fuck your money leeching website. Have a nice day and rest of life and enjoy your site till it gets utterly abandoned.

Looked into their terms and conditions earlier with the same idea, sadly these include a clear no to porn.

Maybe I don't get a say in this because I wasn't a super active community member or whatever, honestly I just made an account to buy one book that I wanted. But like some people have been saying, the loss of the pages for each unlicensed work and the associated comments is...really tough to accept.

Alright you have to remove the content to accomplish your new goals, but did you absolutely need to remove the descriptive pages? Couldn't the title, tags, comments and maybe the cover been left up so that you could still see those and the website didn't feel so...barren? This would have also had the benefit of allowing a slot, and tags, and comments for doujins that you used to have up on the site unlicensed if you do get the license for it later on which would just be...easier I guess? You would need a new banner for the thumbnail, maybe 'Archive' or something to denote that the content was not present, but the page was still available for viewing.

I just think this could have been done in a way that didn't feel like you were burning the place down and starting over.

I was wondering why my favs where gone, now i understand. It's been 7 good years, and I think your latest decisions will make fakku rhyme with seppuku. I bid you adieu, and whish you good luck on finding a new job.

Ads where bringing you a good revenue, and i don't think you'll gain as much with subscribtions while going on subscription only content, people like me simply will stop coming. On the bright side, you'll have less to pay in bandwidth.

If you think I'm gonna pay money just to continue reading your manga think again. I liked how the website was back then, don't have to pay to read most manga but still have some that you'll have to buy. making it where you took away people's favorite manga and have then pay just to read the ones they didn't had to is ridiculous. this website WAS the best out there.

Ever checked those prices of the comics they got on amazon or even wani? Doubt it, so please research more

I doubt the companies who wanted them talen down would want traces of those staying. Whats the point in keeping those, right? Especially rival titles.

Its a sad day for anyone in fakku nation id hate to say it but if you want a new site with all the anime you want theres Simply-hentai.com i just started using it and it has all shorts of hentai i havent seen on fakku like loads of fairy tale and cowboy beboop

The matter of the fact is that fakku need more income that they want

But guys and gals its porn on the internet

Smart ppl say
"Why pay for something when its free"

Not trying to say its not important but when ever i ever payed for porn i fot fucked over big time by the charges because they keep addding up even when new content isnt out

Well for one, the stuff isnt free. Translated hentai in the net are distributed without permission on the net. If you were an artist with this as your lifeline, youll get pissed bigtime that people are using your stuff bit didnt get paid. Heck, even umtranslated stuff isnt free.

People just dont get that porn is never free untill the author themselves distribute it for free.

But people dont get that because its not their food in their tables that are being stolen

I will continue to Sub Jacob! (Or at least every few months until we get more Vanilla, Loli & forced stuff)

I think a way to buy individual chapters of a book would be a great option if possible. For example if an authors book contains Tags that some people are not interested in, they can buy part of it.
You're really pushing the industry forward & deserve all the legal tender. Anyone who thinks less of the FAKKU team for going legit is too self entitled.

"Paying for porn?! I'm above that, I just use it regulary but PAYING for it, weird!!

In relation to people posting that they will not subscribe or will "wait and see" if the site becomes more diverse in content, I don't think some of you guys get the big picture of what is trying to be accomplished.

It's one thing to feel that you cannot financially see this being something you wish to invest in. In this case to each their own, but when I see numerous comments stating that you find the content currently to be lacking, this is a bit disheartening as a fan of hentai to hear.

I have my own personal kinks I search the internet for, like a lot of you, but I'm also one that I love hentai for the sake of it being what it is. It's sexual, it's expressive, it's artistic, it's creative, and I could go on describing it for a while if you let me really have at it lol.

I know not everything is to my personal tastes, but that doesn't mean that I don't see the beauty in what is currently available. There are so many different artists released each day with such a variety of different stories, fetishes, art styles. For me it's a new experience with each work I read. Sometimes I don't always like the works, but then I find a couple of gems I can't get over.

Fakku is not encouraging you to subscribe just for the site to stay a float or because they want money; they want to see what it is us fans enjoy, what we don't enjoy, what do we want, what do we feel needs to change, what can we change? NaPaTa is a perfect example, a lot of us voted and practically begged to have their works released and now you see we have official English books that are just wonderful.

Basically what I am trying to get at here is if you want your monstergirls, futanari, femdom and whatever else you might be into that can be published, they want to make it happen. They're fans like we are, but they worked hard and with a little luck they got to a position where they can possibly make this happen. I know me subscribing and buying shit alone doesn't mean that this will work out, but I support it hoping it does happen because to me the money I make is worth it. I don't regret investing in this personally and quite frankly I've been surprised more then anything over how much I've enjoyed everything so far. Not saying I doubted, but there was some what if's in the back of my mind lol.

If you want to see this content and you are open to seeing what it is they have to offer, I'd say give the subscription a shot. If you don't like it you don't have to keep subscribed, but don't turn your nose away just because your personal kinks are not on here yet. I was really shocked to see mine were on here and usually I have a hard time finding them so yeah miracles do happen lol.

Edit: Some bonus info for you guys

When I uploaded on here for a bit (did it for less then a year or so) I noticed something. A lot of you had very mixed reactions to the uploads that would be chosen for the site. Some people would love one work, other's would hate another, there were some that bitched or started wars over something controversial making the comments section looking like youtube or 4chan.

But I know as an uploader I felt very biased in my uploads. Sometimes I would upload what I enjoyed, other times I uploaded what I thought all of you enjoyed (I really did try to consider all of fakku in my uploads, I do care for this community and still do), I'd even upload some for conversation pieces regardless if they were controversial or just odd (still remember the loli-gate incident, good times lol).

In the end I felt like there was no real way for any uploader to really listen to the voice of the people. With the subscription feature and the direction fakku is going with all of this, I've seen more feedback and communication between fans and Fakku then I saw in my time as an uploader. I think it's really awesome and I want to see it continue myself. So yeah it's sad the free is gone, but I think if this all works out it could be great.

Hello, I've been a silent lurker in fakku for like 2 years now. After these changes I would atleast like one more payment method for the subscriber content, Paysafecard. As I would not want to pay with a creditcard. A prepaid card should work? Please implent this payment method I'm sure it would help.

I'm Canadian and the conversion is nearly $20 for the subscription and I still paid it before this was posted. I pay more for video games per month. It cost me over $10 just to get something to eat and drink last night. Two meals per month (in cost) is hardly that expensive. My internet is over $150/mo. lol

Well this has been quite a good read.

I'm new here on Fakku, but not to hentai by far. When I discovered this site, sub was already up and running and I subscribed shortly after. I felt glad.

I've been reading this post mainly because it angered me. These people living in the land of the free wanting to have everything for free. I've quite pirating everything years ago so to me those one-post-wonder haters are an eyesore.
I only have sympathy for the people that are facing difficulty getting a subscription for whatever reason.

It is my genuine hope that Fakku really gets to be a clear signal to the mangaka across the globe that I greatly enjoy their work. It's been mentioned in this post that this is the case and I really hope for that to be true.

It's in the nature of things to evolve, so I'm here to support this fully, so that maybe the perception of companies in Japan changes, that we want to be customers. It's coming to be that we get a choice now where before there was none. I still read my favorites on other sites but hoping they'll show up here.

I don't understand everything about the workings behind the Wani deal, but it seems logical that after years of fan scanlations they'd want to cash on the fanbase they have abroad, now that they've (finally, lol) caught on to its existance. Evolution.

So anyway after reading some of this shameful tripe to be found here I guess I decided to go all out. I already own most of the books but I'll go for all of them when Pandemonium comes out. I work for a living but I'm in a position where I can buy otaku crap without too much worry.

I already own a few physical books from another publisher, too. They sell their books at an online shop called Archonia. <-- hint.
This is also where I bought my stack of anime DVDs that I'm not supposed own because licenses.

In closing: thanks Fakku, thanks Jacob and thanks to everyone else sticking around to support quality smut. <3

I've been coming to Fakku for about 6 years now [pun is (not) intended], and it's been my favourite hentai site for as long as I remember. I haven't made any posts before this one, but this time I believe I actually have something I want to tell you. I understand your decision and fully support it. Piracy does no good for the industry and is morally wrong.
However, it is clear that you didn't want many people to know that all the unlicensed content would be deleted and that is messed up. I've been visiting this site regularly and I was not aware of this scheduled removal. The announcement may have been on the front page for a certain amount of time, but obviously many people missed that (me included). You could have kept it there and made it more obvious. You knew that many people would be surprised by the change, despite the fact that you've announced it, but you still made no effort to spread the information better.
I understand why you may have wanted to keep it quiet: the announcement could create a lot of negative feedback and the site could be abandoned by many even before the removal. It is also possible that you didn't want people to download the pirated scans. My problem with your way of handling the transition is that I lost most of my favourites, which I've been "collecting" for years. I don't remember most of them, so chances are, they are lost forever. I'd even be prepared to buy some of them... Is there any chance that you could give us the names of our lost favourites? Even if we're not able to read them here...
