[Locked] FAKKU State of the Union 2016

Is Jacob still active in this post? He said he would be reading all the replies and giving feedback. I haven't seen any replies from him since the first page.

I've seen some good questions and really good responses from the community, but I'm really hoping to see Jacob's input on some of these questions.

i've been with fakku since the 7th grade and last year i got my bachelors degree. i'm not exactly pleased with the huge decision but i can say i support whatever you guys do. jacob and company do good work and have earned my respect (and it was great meeting jacob in CT about 5yrs ago).

and although i only plan to subscribe maybe 1/3 to 1/4 of the year, i've purchased every book and will continue to come back on occasion. because as much as i really like the high quality content that gets put out, i don't really like how sometimes it's mostly NTR being put out for like 3 days and that's kind of a turn off. but as you guys said, the longer this system exists, the more content will be added to the library. so i really look forward to subbing again after waiting 2-3 months to catch up on the backlog.

but if you really want to keep my subscription the entire time, you'll need to give the buyer an extra incentive or je ne sais quoi because although i support the decision to not discriminate against any tags, it periodically results in some "wasted" days for new content assuming one has gone through all the previous titles. it results in some days-- after reading the 2 new vanilla releases of the day, i'll go through the list again to find anything i didn't want to read before only to desperately dig up some bakunyuu/NTR content only to result in bad feels but that's a personal problem i guess...

Likewise - the discussion will reach almost 20 pages, and it's motly personal feedbacks. I think we deserve some responses.

When exporting your collections / favorites, the removed content will now be in your export.

I think you should make an announcement for this, like the little red banner, so people don't ask this a hundred times again.

People not reading is not the fault of a website. You could have it big bold and flashing and someone will still say that they had no idea. This is just the nature of human intelligence.

I'll dearly miss good old Fakku, but this was the most important thing for me ^^

I can't pretend I'm happy with the loss of everything Fakku started out as, and the main stuff that made it such a great site, but ultimately this is Jacob's site and his decision.
It has been a pleasure and a privilege being here, and I'm sorry it all had to end like this, but good luck in your future endevours.


The only thing I was really upset about was not bothering to tell us before wiping out the favourites, which made (I'm sure) a lot of us feel that everything we'd invested in the site was meaningless and we simply weren't valued.

So thanks for being nice~


I would however strongly recommend putting a post or advert about this somewhere obvious (rather than just page 19 of a massive thread) so people get a chance to hear about it.


P.S. Just one ore thing... anyone know how best to go about reading the exported file?

I'm asking so we can look into implementing alternative payment methods that are common for customers in Germany.

I believe they were one of the companies to deny usage.

Can you not sell digital currency on Paypal? ie: "Top up your account." You're not buying adult material you're just updating a virtual wallet. I don't see how paypal could object to that.
