I never said anything about blocking free users from accessing content, just that unlicensed content will all be removed.

I haven't read the entirety of the thread since Jacob said this, but I feel like people skimmed over this and didn't actually read it, because people are still mentioning paywalls.

Excuse me if i'm misinterpreting this but to my understanding:

The licensed content is all required to be paid for.
The unlicensed content will be removed.

Hence we will only have licensed content we have to pay for.
Unless there is some free licensed content I'm missing it seems there will be a paywall.

Let's be honest here, FAKKU and its community have been nothing more than a den of thieves until recently. This site and E-H have fostered of culture of blatantly stealing content from talented creators with no expectation of ever giving back. Now that the site is going legitimate, its time for the part of the community who want to continue stealing to leave and never return. Don't try to cater to them; they are a lost cause.

This is a bright new beginning for not only Fakku, but the hard working creators who we have been neglecting for years. Thanks to Jacob and the Fakku crew for making this possible.

You. I like you. You tell it like it is.

Your avatar's an eyesore though. Fuck Hol Horse.

You are so wrong about this it goes from being funny, to not being funny, all the way to being funny again. This same argument was made twenty years ago about anime fansubbers who distributed VHS tapes of Dragonball Z movies and episodes of Macross - not Robotech, but Macross.

Like the fansub community twenty years ago Fakku, by my understanding, formed to make fan scanlations of hentai comics (both manga and doujinshi) available to english readers. Without regard to the methods used, the purpose was not stealing, it was making content available to an audience that was not served by the market.

That's a really negative approach (which I guess fits with your negative attitude.) However, your negative views aside, it's what is likely to occur.

You're quite wrong about the community neglecting creators - it was interest in the works of those creators that created Fakku. Still, here's hoping that it is indeed a bright beginning.

I never confused the idea censoring to be blurring or mosaic on the naughty parts. Jacob or anyone working for fakku has actually never censored any of his content or comments of anyone. Year ago loli and shota were banned not because of content or feelings but because to ad people didn't like it and since fakku who was run by adding money Jacob had no choice. Since then the new ad people didn't give a shit about anything so it came back.

Let's not confuse Jacob removing the controversial tags with censorship. Since him and the coders created the controversial tagging system it was the easiest way to take mass amount of unlicensed stuff. Now there's a few books printed or digitize or about to be digitized and printed with controversial tags. If he was going to censor everything then he will never planned on printing them.

Even if Jacob wanted to he wouldn't. If Jacob want to print a loli book in all the penises, vaginas, nipples and boobs were marked with the u mad girl he could but he wouldn't. He isn't dumb person. Plus the fact he really can't censor anything really, since you know he does not control the Internet. Him removing content does not equal censorship. Hell doesn't even try to remove the pirated fakku books. He even find it kind of awesome that people are taking the scripts/books in translated into different languages.

Will any of the unlicensed work become licensed, because I really love artists like Fue and Noise and I'm really sad that there no longer on fakku.

Doujinshi of the parody type are a legal gray area in Japan. Some companies are fine with it, while others are not. With how Japanese business works, even if you're talking with a company who personally doesn't care about parody works, they will refuse to work with someone dealing with parody works, as to not insult other companies in Japan.

That being said, Fue and Noise do a lot of original art for COMIC Milfs and COMIC LO, both of which are under different publishers. In my personal opinion, it would be wise to focus doing the best we can with WANI before trying to make even more deals with other publishers. That being said, there is no opposition from wanting to work with other publishers, as it has been said in our past panels: "we want to work with everyone".

But these things take time.

In regards to official content we publish not appearing under 'controversial tags' such as incest. This is a bug within the tagging system itself, it requires some time to fix. Both Jacob and I are currently working on massive projects right now and have our hands full with Anime Expo prep work. We will get to fixing it ASAP so those tags appear on our officially licensed content again. For the time being, that content should still be accessible to read from the site. If any licensed content does not appear to work, please message me immediately so we can fix those kind of issues.

I have no problem with Fakku going legit, hope it means the death of those full page 5 second ads. I just want this missing tags back so I can read specific types I like and avoid the ones I don't. Kisuka has given me hope that the tag situation is merely a temporary annoyance.

Now just to wait for a decent subscription price to be announced and tags being fixed and I'll cozy in back to lurking.

So a question for Jacob or a Fakku staff. How will the release of chapters go for this new service? Will it be like Fakku books where it releases a chapter a certain day or will the magazine chapters be released in one go?

And another question I got, this one is important to me. If the answer to the question above is the first choice, will we be able to download individual chapters instead of waiting for the whole thing to finish then wait another week for a download link for the full content. I believe we should be able to download the chapters we want because like you guys said it wont cater to everybody cuz of different artist and different genres. So I think individual download of chapters should be a must.

I will support Fakku for making such a choice since it supports the artist directly and they can see the fruit of their labor and Fakkus as well. My only gripe is I hope the subscription fee ain't high. What I would like to see is a type of membership like $59.99 for a year or something. Oh and will this service have a DRM of some sort? If so that will be bad.

Hope to see a response :)

And yes, I saw comments about Tosh's "departure" from the h-scene to make his non-h manga. Personally I was happy for him, the best thing I could do is wish him luck with his new manga. Same goes with Takeda Hiromitsu and Maken-ki, if they are enjoying what they are doing, I feel happy for them,

I didn't mean for my post to come out as I'm upset with tosh, because I really, truly am happy for him and Takeda (though I think Takeda is still publishing with Wani, I know he recently published a new book), and I wish them the best in their endeavors. What sucks though is that we probably won't be getting anymore porn from tosh.

Nah, I never implied you were upset or something like that. And yes, Takeda is still doing porn, but he rarely does something new nowadays. That last Ima Ria book took like forever to come out.

It's should be better if FAKKU can collaborate with another magazines or company as well like KTC (Adult Section), MegaStore, Tenma, etc... and even better, FAKKU can provide porn artwork, games and hentai animes as well. (For remove content, just remove as quickly as possible and give all of removed collection lists that FAKKU or Other already licensed (or neither of those) to everyone to find and buy them in the future.)

This will be a paradise on earth. Everyone can purchases, subscribes and read some free legal uncensored (no mosaic, black stick) stuff (if available) via online from around the world where internet reached in the future.

For me, this is an opportunity to support artists and industries when budgets are available for me because my country still sucks at censorship, media control, bunches of soap opera junks, illegal porn in one of the highest prostitutes in the world and import prohibit that obviously impossible for me (and I will risk to get caught and take into jail every time).

I born in a wrong country and many people acting like a priest or pope judge people and suck money to them and someone done those that opposite their act.

The only bad part about this is that it's going to take a full year to remove illegal content from the site.

EDIT:
Ignore my post, for some reason I thought it was 2016 and not 2015.

Fuck this, im out.

this is turning into crunchyroll 2.0

Again, I have to ask (since nobody's given me an answer), what exactly is wrong with CR? What is everybody's gripe with it, and why is Fakku turning into a hentai CR such a bad thing?

Also, I feel like there are a lot of people who just pop into this thread without reading anything just to say "bye fakku, fuck you guys y'all suck" or whatever. What is this, a YouTube comment section?

Because both sites have made money from piracy. CR was much worse than Fakku about it though. The creator there basically said that he supported piracy then went legit and made up bullshit he was always against piracy. Fakku isn't as bad as that since there were less ads in general.

I'm going to now repost a post of mine from a deleted thread.

Why are doujins being removed when the Japanese industry considers them perfectly fine? They consider them free advertisement for the main series. Also why are there still some doujins allowed? The only way for any of them to be "legit" is if they were original characters in an original story.

It's not so much that the industry is "perfectly fine" with doujin works, but more like most of them are willing to turn a blind eye to it. Everything that's unlicensed will be removed, be it doujinshi or h-manga. The only exception I can think of is if the artist wants us to host their work.

I just have one quick question. Will some of the Tags come back? I miss my Monster Girl and Tentacles, and even a good Forced every once in a while.

I wish I would have had notice for this so I could have at least have had a list of my favorites before they all got deleted...

As I recall it was stated that, yes, the tags will be coming back. I guess they're missing do to a bug, or something like that.

Considering there are really two huge topics being discussed here, I have decided to lock this specific thread and break it into two new threads.

For discussion on simulpublished magazines, licensed content, and FAKKU going legit:
https://www.fakku.net/forums/feedback-suggestions-and-support/discussion-simulpublished-magazines-and-licensed-content

For discussion on content removal and raging that FAKKU will die a horrible death:
