I would like to present my own (still alpha version) mobile fakku browser. At the very beginning this "project" was created only for my selfish needs, but later I have realized that it can do some good for the fakku's society.
Please note that this software was only tested on Android 2.1, and I can't guarantee that i will work on others. In short you are downloading, installing and using it on your own account, if something goes bad (example: you will become blind) it was your own fault.

Explanation on how to brows manga:
Current version allow to brows only newest manga available on fakku. In order to brows older entries you have to "swipe" the screen from right to left, if you do the opposite you will descend to the newest ("more fresh") ones.
If you want to view a specific manga, you have to press once the tab with that manga. To view a full page you have to press once an image representing the page you want to see, after that you should have a popup window which should point you to all installed image browsers on you phone.
This application uses internet connection and needs access to sd card. Access to sd card is needed because I couldn't figure a way how to exchange data from my application to image browser.
You may also notice that I'm missing some icons - I suck at drawing.

A mobile version of fakku? Well it sounds like a good idea. You should definitely do it, but you should focus on getting the current updates and issues out of the way beforehand IMO.

My two cents worth is just that if you sit around making the site super stable and fortified and "fix all the problems that currently exist" development will stagnate due to there being excessive emphasis on a single aspect. In addition, new problems and user complaints will be eternally popping up, so it is unrealistic to have as a fixed goal something that is actually totally variable.
Consider (which I think you did in the OP) just getting someone else to help with the development of a mobile platform while you work on the main site.

WOw..that's nice I wish that App could be Accessible to us in the near future...I did one on my Previous phone,i somehow putted all my Kisaragi Gunmas on the Memory card and red it there..somehow i got disappointed because of its small size..ahaha not to worry we can expect this anytime soon :3

The easyway out make a mobile version of fakku.net that notices if your on a phone like google and Facebook have the web version of fb mobile is so much faster than the fb app for iOS

There is an app called Mango that would be a perfect model for it, basically there are touch page page turning favorites, genre sorting and all that....

These are a few wip real-devices (my HTC Hero device) screenshots:
Tags Browser
Tag Comics Browser
Flip with your finger (back and forth) like a real comic
Other features:
- Image caching (on SD card) for faster browsing
WIP features:
- Pinch zoom gestures on comic page
- Choose browsing by tag, author, series, translator, etc...
- Alerts on new postings
Also tested on tablet (7") and is very smooth, like browsing a real comic.
This is not an attempt to showcase this app but a way to collect some feedback to make things better. I'm very passionate about android development.
