Final Fantasy 8 Interpretation

With this perspective, this has to be the most depressing Final Fantasy yet. However, if this theory is accurate, this is definately the most philosophically deep Final Fantasy yet. I'll gladly suffer depression in exchange for this being the real meaning of the game!

I think Noah Antwiler of The Spoony Experiment puts it best:
...Well, I thought he put it best, anyway.

I'd like to think this is what happened in FF8.

"Squall's Dead" is a theory from who didn't play FF8 throughly, see what you think it's suspicious conversation in fixed storyline and fool yourself that it is the hidden true.
RPGs are always hid their clues, secrets and important trivia in unnecessary events, you have to spend your time to find it.
And you have to understand some situations by yourself, like why Squall was interrogated instead of Quistis, It's obviously because Squall is team leader, he should be interrogated first. For this event it's not important how or who cures his ice lance's wound, It's only to make sure that he survive to be interrogated in prison.
BEFORE MAKE ANY THEORY , PLEASE STUDY YOUR SUBJECT MORE THROUGHLY.

I wonder why there's so much hate aroud FF8... maybe because it was sort of a letdown after VII? Who knows. I actually liked it, but nothing can get close to FFX. Best story, ever.FF10's story was nothing compared to 8,7, or 6, all 3 had vastly superior story lines. Especially how in 6, Kefka(the main villain) actually WON and destroyed the world, lol.
Oh, and who cares if FFVIII was the best or not? it was an AWESOME game, that's all that matters.

In the end would have liked it if FF8 had been more clear. The fact that some crazy theories like this could be even plausible is kind of a testament to some of the weak points in the storytelling. Still, it was a great game and I'll probably go and replay it sometime.
When it comes to the theory I still don't really buy it. There are enough ways to poke holes in the theory for it to just not stand up in my mind.
