Password Reset

It makes me sad to see something like this happen, because it seems to me after close to two years that you're a great guy. You almost always have this place working smoothly and I've seen a lot of improvements in those couple years. I'm glad to see that everything's fixed and hope this sort of thing doesn't happen again!

Thanks for pointing out that it isn't completely fail-safe. I'm sure that you blew a lot of minds with that incredible revelation.

Even if the passwords here are secure, password reuse is still a problem.

Done. Never use MD5 - even with salting - for passwords. Also, use a different password for sites like this guys. It's good security practice and causes less trouble like this. /psa

I can't change the password, it says that the password is wrong. I've logged in several times and every time I try to change I get the same error message.
It's quite annoying.

After pouring over all the posts for the better part of an hour, I can safely say that my head hurts. Still, when all is said and done I'm grateful that good things came out of such an unlikely situation. Not really gonna state my opinion on the matter since it looks like all possible ones have already been made, but I shall express my thanks to you Jacob for doing your best to keep the site running (so we can live to fap another day 8D) and being mature about everything that went down.
