Password Reset

I'm just glad the only thing we had to reset were just the password and nothing major like our favorited collections, I'd hate it if it were something more serious. Kudos to you, Jacob, your quick actions proved just how efficient and hard working you are.

thats really weird, why would someone take the time to mess with the site? I swear some people are really immature

Thank you Jacob for fixing everything. I'd be heartbroken if Fakku had to close due to something like this. :(

Also, what do you mean by "The administrator's account was broken into because they were using the same password for FAKKU that they were using elsewhere."
As in, you use your personal e-mail's password for Fakku or something? Wasn't that exactly how the shit hit the fan that one time you let developer/programmer get access to your site?

It wasn't my account that was broken into, but yeah it's the same idea.

Yikes, I must say this was a rather dick way of getting a point across, can you imagine if irreparable damage was done?
But all seems well at the moment, good job Jacob, it's a damn shame someone had to pull this though.

Eh, I hope you and whoever is in charge of this website learn your lesson this time, and don't repeat the same mistake then.
I don't really want to rub salt into your wounds, but this isn't a hobby anymore like it was when you first started the site as a teenager. I'm clueless when it comes to computers and shit, but what if this guy accessed our information (our passwords) instead of just vandalizing a few manga tags and making a rant on the front page? What if he was really malicious and did something worse?
You have our personal information now, and you have a responsibility to make sure it's safe.

You're absolutely right, and even moreso with the store launching. This change will ensure that even if someone breaks into the site, they are unable to access user accounts. It's a good change that was recommended by Hibia/Tranquility a long time ago that I should have implemented sooner.

Oh yeah, forgot about that...
BTW, didn't get a reply to the e-mail I sent you, but what exactly is the source of your goods? Did you literally go to Japan yourself and buy as much stuff as possible? Are you ordering them online?

Little bit of column A, little but of column B (plus some pretty cool stuff on the side). I'll reply to that email as soon as I get the chance, there were a bunch of different things I wanted to cover so it's taking some time.
Also your old avatar inspired me to check out Breaking Bad, great show.

Well... it's about time I changed passwords anyway. Not going to the extreme with a password with over 100 letters, numbers, etc... though. I'd take too long to login. O_O

Password is changed.
As a suggestion for making passwords it better for you to use a "pattern" rather than a word with numbers mixed in it.
For example:
tghytr45t
yhjuyt56y
If you try to type these codes you will notice a pattern. This way, guessing the password is totally impossible unless you know the pattern. Eye-logging will be impossible also if this was typed in a fast pace.
My password from before was also a pattern. For now i changed my pattern. Something like Fakku123 or even names or perhaps mixed passwords like Sen1go2ku3 is still a weak password compared to having passwords derived from a pattern. :D
