really? thats quite interesting, America tried something like that one as well, using FPS video games as a way to attract young men to join the Army

America's Army? Yep, it's a nice idea actually. Since the younger generation can relate to the training programs, unlike you usual "Hard-balled Drill Sergeants". Which in reality, sapped the morale of some of the potential recruits.
