Your Weapons of Choice against a zombie attack.

In lieu of the other threads regarding zombies, What are your weapons of choice against hordes of zombies?
My weapons of choice would be:
2 Suppressed Kimber Warriors with LAMs(.45 ACP)
An IMI CTAR-21(5.56x45mm)fitted with an M9 Bayonet and various attachments, including a suppressor,a small nightscope/dayscope, plus an M203 to distract the hordes.
and an Improvised baseball bat fashioned like a WW-I Trench Raiding Club.

As for range, I would prefer Shotgun (but I will most likely cannot handle the recoil), and a nice dual-handguns for alternative.
Melee,
Well, anything works, though Guitar will be preferred because it reminds me of this ...

Are guns such a bright idea? Ammo is going to be hard to find!Well, yes. It's true that ammo will be a problem. But I prefer fighting zombies at a range rather than up close. The risk of getting infected is significantly higher when fighting them toe-to-toe, by way of open wounds getting splashed with their blood or saliva.

There are ways to ensure you do not come in contact with any bodily fluids from zombies.

Fire isn't very effective on the dead so flamethrowers are obviously out too.
Some kind of close combat weapon is the best way to go like a sword/axe.

(Both cartridges are fairly common here in the Philippines in both Military, Civilian and Law-Enforcement Sectors.)

Wouldn't the noise from the gunfire just draw in more and more zombies, until a herd of them appeared and then you're fucked?

Protective clothing, I presume. This is true to an extent, but can you be highly certain there are no rips and tears in your clothing? If there are, it would render your otherwise protective gear useless, would it not?
And as Domu said, there is the concept of scavenging. Note the choices in weapons Domu and I made. Are they not common to find?
Anyways, I'm not trying to make you accept my point of view. Just wanted to show you that, despite what you think, the people who chose to use guns base it on careful and deliberate consideration.
@Tsujoi: The guns should be used sparingly, and only in situations where there are no other choices. So when facing a herd, run. Run like there's no tomorrow.

Probably wouldn't be too picky on what to grab. Not like I'm going to go out and look for a specific gun or weapon. Just whatever is available.
Also, we'd all probably become tasty zombie food before we even knew what happened.
