HERRO! So, I heard something about people getting pillows with not enough stuffing in them. And I'm talking about ones you may pick up at a department store or some of you may have bought one from royal pillow. Royal Pillow is awesome, but sometimes they don't add enough filling either.
Or maybe you were sleeping on top of it, hugging it too much or just raping it silly all night to the point where it's gotten flat.
Fear not!
I'll be editting this post as a little tutorial on how to add more stuffing to your pillows, which is relatively cheap and it definitely adds more volume.
This is for:
EVZlol and Drakanity.
If you want to buy an expensive pillow from Japan because you're a trust fund baby or you have your quirks and everything has to be from Japan, feel free to ignore my upcoming posts.
For those of you who want to save some money, and have your pillows be far more huggable/squeezable/etc, I'll try to get a tutorial posted soon.
As for EVZ. Yeah. I noticed that my pillow was a floppy dead fish as well, after a few weeks I fixed it. I even added more stuffing to my others as well.
OK: So here's how you do it.
Materials:
-Needle and thread
-Scissors
-A Standard size pillow (any cheap one from say walmart will do - they're like 3 dollars)
-Binder clips/clamps (optional)
0. First take your pillow (with cover removed), and stand it up vertically. Now shake it vigorously while holding the top of it and you'll see how all the filling starts to settle on the bottom. You'll notice a lot of empty space on top (almost like a half filled sack). That gives you a general estimate of how much filling to add. In EVZ's case, one standard pillow should be enough, as that's how much I added to mine.
1. Using your scissors, find any seam on the body pillow you want to add more volume. Typically the top or bottom is fine, and cut on the seam. That is, don't cut the actual pillow, but cut the thread that's holding the two pieces of fabric together. I usually make about an 8 inch opening.
2. Now using the scissors, cut open the cheap standard pillow you bought, this sacrificial pillow will provide the stuffing which you will manually add to your floppy dead body pillow. You may notice how the fibers used in the body pillow are loose and sort of small clusters, where as the fibers used in a standard pillow may seem almost woven together. At least, the filling was different for mine.
3. The fibers from the standard pillow, rip them up so you can have fine clusters of filling (if they were woven), and start stuffing them into your body pillow. You don't want all of this filling to be on top. You may want to add some towards the bottom or middle, which just means you're gonna have to thrust your hand further into your body pillow while adding it.
4. Once you have added enough filling, do the shake test again as mentioned in the very first step. It should be sufficiently filled now.
5. Sewing is the hardest part, but it doesn't matter if you do a sloppy job as long as you make sure no filling will come out. You can use binder clips to hold the seam together as you stitch since there is a lot of filling and it may want to come out. Stitch at 1-2 mm intervals to ensure no filling will come out once you've finishing mending your body pillow.
I did an overcast stitch on mine, which is faster, and since your pillow will be covered by a dakimakura, it doesn't matter if it's noticable since you won't be seeing it anyways. You could choose to do a running stitch however, since that is the most standard stitch to do.

Interesting... Maybe someday that guy selling the Asagi cover will lower it. I always wanted a character from Lilith that doesn't have a pregnant side. Or at least a character I prefer, like Ingrid or Asagi, except one has a pregnant side (or semen-filled belly) and the other is too expensive. -_- Sad times...
Anyway, I introduce to you guys, Waku Hanyuu.

Up close

I do apologize for the underexposure of the photos.
My thoughts on the cover. When I first took it out of the package, and just did a quick feel; I noticed a huge difference in material from my first cover to this one. And after sleeping with it, it doesn't even pull up or pull down, it just stays intact and no wrinkles. The only thing that is tough with this material is how easy snags show up. It sucks, since I lift, so my hands have callus. Now, if I recall correctly, pearl roica is the best feeling material, is that correct?

My personal opinion is no, it's not the best feeling material. I'd probably rank is 3-4th in terms of feel, but without doing a direct comparison with covers in front of me, I can't say for sure where it sits. It's important to note that "pearl roika" is generally Seiren's material, though I think a couple of mass market (meaning they're available on AmiAmi) used a material called pearl roika, but I'm not sure if it was produced by Seiren.
For pure feel, not necessarily factoring image quality, my ranking would probably go something like:
1. P80 2WT - It feels great, but is beat by others in terms of image quality.
2. B&W Store's old 4WT
3. P80 Roika
4. Various 2WTs that I can't rank more accurately - A&J, Seiren's pearl roika, etc

Well that was fucking lame.
I thought "eh' what the hell, I'll pick up this month's Dengeki Hime because I love Oyari Ashito and it comes with a cover too. Sweet!"
Well, that's what the Akadot page (http://www.akadot.com/dengeki-hime-05-may-2012-p-39633.html#) says:
"Comes with "Hatsuyuki sakura" large mousepad and pillow cover and "Eiyu Senki" Sekai Seifuku tramp card!!!!"
So I find it cheaper on Hobby List Japan (http://www.hlj.com/product/MDWHM1205) and email them, asking if it comes will all bonus items, and they respond informing me that it does. I go ahead and order it through HLJ. It arrives today. And guess what...no cover. Only the playing cards and mouse pad. Goddammit.
If I had the money and my SMJ account was up and running, I would of gotten this within a heartbeat! But I'm a bit curious now, it is 30k buyout as well, why haven't anyone gotten it? Too expensive for what it really is? Or people just aren't into Asagi? D:
Yeah, that's ridiculous. That's over half of what it went for new. You're better off finding it on Mandrake.

Like what Shashin said, it's really personal opinion.
While I guess, I do own more varied materials, that makes it even hard to judge considering the 2WT family has MANY different types. While they feel almost the same in general, they do have some minor differences like Generally(IMO) A&Js is the smoothest. Matsumoto's 2WT feels slightly grainy in comparison. While I could go on and on because of how many different types of materials I have.Think I'll just rank them.
1.A&Js 2WT
2.P80's 2WT
3.DC's 2WT
4.Matsumoto's 2WT
5. B&W 4WT(old)
6.P80's Roica
7.Smooth Silk Kai(Very very rare material)
8.Brain Police's SMooth knit(No moreT_T)
9.Pearl Roica
10.Silk
11. Cospa's Smooth Knit
12.2 way stretch polyester
13.A&Js Smooth Knit
14.Other Smooth Knits
15.Peach Skin
16.Polyester Twill
17.SK Suede.

Heh, I got my first A&J cover a few months back with the Sena cover (that I know of for sure.) It's definitely a nice material, but after everyone talked it up so much that I ended up being really disappointed. It's definitely smooth, but I personally prefer materials that are "rich". Hence my top pick of P80 2WT; it's just nice and thick and feels very good, even if it doesn't look the best. I'd probably agree with the rest of your list, but I didn't want to bother with non tricot/roika materials.

God freaking shit that's a lot of material. And if pearl roica is rank 9 on that list, I can't imagine what the others feel. And of course, as you mention, it is personal opinion, so I'll be getting my fair share of feels once I've been in the game long enough.
Oh man, I'm looking to spend almost $500 at the end of May if I add a pillow to my current Amiami order, which is already 17,300yen w/o shipping. That pillow is going to kick it up TWO NOTCHES! 24,000yen + shipping most likely going to be around 7k - 8k since I do have a figure in that order. @_@

If you're talking color wise, that Sena doesn't really justify A&Js quality because the cover has a lot of naturally light colors and the fact it is on a plain white background doesn't help either. If you pick up maybe just one of Clochette's Covers, you'll know what I mean.

Nah, that color was fine. Still strictly speaking about feel, I was disappointed with it.

I need to mention that there more materials not listed in my list, I forgotten about the new 4WT from B&W which I would rank just below Pearl Roica.
But there also some obnoxious materials like there's one circle that sells covers much cheaper but their material is said to be bad beyond believe.
And there are more materials unheard of.
Well, personal opinion,if you can afford to, ship all at once, it'll be much cheaper then bringing them separately.
I have a figure coming this May, My super sonico from Native.

Lol, when you mentioned being 'rich' I was pretty sure that was a reference to the color.
I dunno, but the ranks will change(I believe) if you sleep with it. I'm pretty sure you don't really use your covers.
For sleeping , I'll say P80's takes the cake, it's pretty thick and warm.

I've slept with a couple of different materials in the past: P80 2WT, ç´«æºäº's 2WT (unknown producer), and actually A&J 2WT now that I look it up. I stopped using my pillow when I moved about a year back, but the three covers I've used to sleep with were IG's Marisa, ç´«æºäº's Mio, and Syrup's (eroge company)Atsuko Takagi which was apparently A&J 2WT according to the blog. Can't say I can remember too much about sleeping with any of them, but I do remember that the Marisa was the best to sleep with.
And yeah, materials are hard to describe. While A&J and Seiren's roika are very smooth, like you kinda slide around on them a bit, P80 just feels like it has a lot of substance... really can't explain it too well, but rich seems like the best word to describe the feel.

I like AJ 2way's feel the most, but I think (nearly) all 2way tricot/roicas are good and it's largely down to personal opinion to distinguish between them.
A box from Mandarake arrived, what could be inside?!

Yeah, as you said, all the tricots/roikas are good, but which you consider the best in the end is all up to personal preference. There hasn't been a 2WT/R that I've disliked, but A&J/Seiren are on the smoother/slippery side; I definitely prefer materials that are smooth but (I won't use the word richer D:) also have a more textured feel to them. Hence why P80 2WT and B&W Store's old 4WT are so high up on my list.
Nice! I know I had considered picking up that Mami cover at some point myself. :3
