I wonder if that level 5 reward is a one time use, or a set limit to like once per month or something.

Once per month would be pretty absurd. Though it does look like it's limited to one.

Hopefully they do, but if they don't, you'll have learned your lesson early. Adult auctions can be really hit or miss. I've had some where I was able to place a bid without any problems whatsoever. Other times I was able to place an initial bid, and then when I wanted to up my bid it required a manual bid (that was probably the strangest occurrence, and it cost me the auction -_-), and then times where I've had to manual bid from the beginning.

I wonder if it has something to do with the account SMJ uses to bid; maybe they only have one account that can bid on adult auctions, and if it isn't logged in at the time, then a manual bid is required. I don't necessarily think that's the case, but it's the only way I can think to explain why I'd be able to bid normally once and then have to put in a manual bid later, for the same exact auction.

Either way, you'll know to place Adult bids earlier in the future. ^^

Those assholes went as far as going up to 20k yen. Uh, no. I'm so salty right now... -_- Oh well... I wasn't really looking to spend that much on it though, so 20k was pretty much out of my reach.

Eh yeah, that's how it goes. Definitely sold for more than I expected it to, but still fairly far short of that 30k you were originally going to buy (had you the money.) Trust me, this will probably be the first of many disappointments when using YJA; some will leave you absolutely foaming but hopefully they'll be offset with the good. ^^

Hmm newby question.. where is the adult section of YJA that you've been mentioning shashin and how do I access it?

Yeah, hopefully another will show up in the near future, and is not in the ADULT section. Oh, and is not 30K.

You need to sign up for a YJA(Yahoo Japan email) and put that you're a foreigner of legal age. It isn't too hard, and there's a somewhat outdated guide available here:

Personally I find the best auctions are those that are in the adult section but, for whatever reason, don't have the retarded manual bid requirement. The get a lot less exposure and we're free to snipe away. ^^ Only problem is, you don't know if you'll be hit with the manual bid requirement until you try to bid, and if you waited to snipe.... you're likely fucked, as you just learned. I actually got pretty lucky trying to snipe a few weeks back; it required a manual bid, but SMJ got the bid in when I placed it with like 30 minutes left. I really don't recommend it, but it worked out.

No worries. ^^ I really like the adult section. They never has as many covers at the normal section, but there's always some good ones in there and the users can get away with posting more detailed sample images (though they don't always.)

Don't worry buddy, most of the time they will bid beyond that if they want it.

Nope. The Twins haven't been on YJA (in 2WT/R) for quite some time. And I think even the SK versions have been snatched up for quite awhile too. Some may pop up eventually, but with as long as they've been out, I wouldn't expect it to happen.

I wouldn't have to be that desperate if only IG didn't play us out. Worst thing is I'll never get my money back.

Yeah, it definitely sucks. There was a new comment on their blog the other day, I think by the guy that runs New-Makura. It linked to a page talking about the whole IG thing... the translation was an absolute mess, but I think Naka's car might have been spotted, or something along those lines. I honestly couldn't understand the translation for shit.

Well, I think you need to give us some perspective there. 17.1k isn't too terrible if spread out over some time. After all, you said you spent like 4k last month, right? And even after proxy fees, I'd imagine 17.1k is still a few hundred shy of 3k. So over the course of a month, that wouldn't be too terrible... but if that number is over the course of a few days... :P

Nah, I'm gonna wait for the web order since Clochette always do one. Just won Clesta's Raika for 18.5k after saying I wouldn't bid on it too :s But this one I really will wait for a web order for! :P
