Damn, I really need to get a pillow that fits the 160cm covers. I hate having empty space at the bottom. I got my pillow back when the standard cover size was like 150x50cm. :/

I can justify spending thousands (god, that's fucking sickening when you say it like that) of dollars on covers, but can't, for some reason, bring myself to drop some coin on a new pillow...go figure.

Man, I hate exclusives. I just found another C82 cover that I'd be interested in and knowing I don't have a chance at obtaining them (I can't afford the markup on Yahoo 3x the price) is depressing. :(

Which cover in particular are you interested in? Pretty much all of the C82 covers that were published in the last day or so have been company products, which have a fairly good chance of getting stock sales done at the very least, if not a full on web order.


Going back to Horizon since I haven't been around for awhile, Kimi isn't my favorite character though I do really like her, and the same goes for Tomo. My favorite was either Neito or Malga; probably Neito since she got more screen time, but they're both cuties. :3

Company products are those made by a company. Usually the stuff you find on AmiAmi and such, but not all of the covers made by companies make it there. In this case, Ricotta is an eroge company; I'm pretty sure they did Princess Lover. So thus, their cases would be company products. If you search the blog for their previous releases, you'll see that the most recent ones were event exclusives to begin with, but then were sold via a web order (not sure if it was stock sales or a preorder) about a month after the event. So I'd say there's a fairly good chance that you'll have a shot at it in September or so.

As for the Fatalpulse cover, the artist has said that they don't plan on doing a preorder web reception, but that any extras (if we're lucky D:) will be sold to consignment stores. Hopefully if it comes to the worst, we can all express interest and get them to cave on that and do a web order, but we'll see how it goes after the event, I guess.

Ah, the same one of that batch of Komachi Musume covers as I ordered Zengar. Mine should arrive some time next week though since I went for slow SAL registered shipping.

Finally managed to get a copy of the Clochette game-benefits Fuuka smoothknit cover. It's been on Mandarake many times but always sold out before I spotted it. Will post some pics when home from work tonight.

Yeah, I almost picked up that green haired chick myself. That artist does a lot of stuff for Stylus, too. It's a very nice cover; definitely wish I had gone through with it. :D

Yeah, it's never a sure thing unfortunately. :( But I'd say it looks fairly good for Ricotta; they have a history of offering some sort of websale, so I have no idea why they'd suddenly change that. Think Comiket is next weekend, so I'd probably start keeping an eye out near the beginning/mid-September, but I'll let you know if I see anything before that. Of course, if you can pick it up on YJA for a reasonable price, that might be an option too - not all covers sell for absurd markup, and paying 13k for a 10k cover might not be too bad, I guess.

It's probably an issue of the reserve. Pretty sure the same dude posted this a few weeks ago. It had a lot of bids on it and was at about 160k when I last saw it, but it still hadn't met the reserve. Don't know what it ended up closing at, but with a reserve and the likelihood that anyone interested would already have a few of those covers... I could definitely see why it would be a tough sell.
