ARGH...!!! Where do u buy it from?? Please Give me the source .. T^T .. cause in my country it's very hard to find DAKIMA T_T

Another good website is that one http://www.hobbyheart.com/index.php, since their prices are in my opinion moderate and they also ship worldwide.

As for myself, I have two dakimakuras one is of Louise from Zero no Tsukaima:

and the other one is of Asakura Otome from Dacapo2 (only one site is printed on that one)

I really love those two, and I'm planning to get a third one in the future :3.

Well, Knockoffs are cheaper but their quality are bound to be inferior to an authentic dakimakura.>_>

Yeah but authentic dakimakuras are really expensive <_<. For instance the Louise dakimakura is qualitywise superior to that one of Asakura but...it was also about 4 to 5 times more expensive.
I've heard the quality of the mentioned shop is acceptable for the price.

I'd definitely imagine print quality isn't quite as good, but I have no idea what the material feels like. I'm not a fan of SK, but absolutely love 2WT. I don't ever intend on intentionally buying a knock off, but it's fairly amusing that I could buy 16 covers from that site for the cost of my most recent acquisition. >_>

2WT and 2WR have the best feel. Im actually surprise that webby has a option for 2WT.
most knockoffs are made with peachskin polyester by default, I can show some comparison photos of my Kotonoha daki, the bootleg was one of my earliest daki when a stupid and naive kid a few years back.

As you can see, aside from the print quality, the bootleg creases ver easily, note that I always fold my dakimakura, you will notice that there's barely any creasing on the original.

Off topic: I just changed to my new bed, a gift from my grandmother, it has a amazingly cool large bedframe that doubles up as a storage box when you lift the top of the frame. Now I shifted about half of my daki collection inside.

Now I got more space for dakis!!!

I'm not going to lie, there's a few of these I wouldn't mind having. There's no way I'd want to deal with customs though.

Ah customs...I remember I had to deal with it due to my Louise dakimakura...it was a bit embarrassing to be honest, I was glad that the dakimakura was not that revealing :p.

Well if you live in Germany I can tell you the address of a dakimakura shop here which I recently found, unfortunately they only ship dakimakuras within Germany. But if you live in the EU and have someone in Germany who can buy it for you and send it to you then I think you should also not have to deal with customs since it's within the EU.

I luckily haven't had too many embarrassing counters with customs/my postal service. Some of the dakimakura covers/doujinshi I've had shipped I would not want to explain at all. The worst I've experienced is having a package delivered by a mailman I was on very good terms with; don't know if he personally read it, but the customs form had something along the lines of "X-rated pillowcase". Most of the times companies will be vague in their description, putting "toy" "cloth" "towel" or something along those lines, but oftentimes I get "pillowcase" (which isn't too bad), and every now and then I'll get a full item description like above. Some times it can certainly be worse than others.

Still, if I knew customs would open every package that I had delivered, I'd probably think twice about a good deal of stuff.

Thats why you leave shipping comments for your deputy service to cover your ass.~_~

What is the difference between "official" Dakimuras and "unofficial" ones or is there a difference(other than the obvious)?

Biggest difference most people would point out is price. You can generally get "fakes" for $30-60, whereas "official" covers range from 8000-100000 yen (not official price, just your ability to purchase it anywhere, such as an auction site - average first run price is usually 10000-15000 yen.) But the price difference is probably why you're asking in the first place.

Main differences are usually the material used and the print. I don't have any fakes, so I don't know what the material feels like, but it's generally called Peachskin. Print quality can definitely differ between an official and fake cover, but from what I hear it's generally comparable. But there may be some small changes, for whatever reason; I've personally heard of a BRS cover that didn't have her trademark scar on the fake cover, but had it in the "official" artwork for cover.

I actually posted a comparison photo for fakes and original in the previous page, why no one looked, boggles my mind.

Perhaps my question should have been what is the difference between a doujin cover and a bootleg one?

Sorry, I misinterpreted your question, Official dakimakuras are always manufactured by companies who license corresponding anime franchises like cospa for example.
Doujins on the otherhand are done mostly by fans. Typically these are released during comiket and sometimes available via web order.

The main difference is that licensed dakimakuras always have restrictions on how the character is depicted, depending on the franchise, the most they will show is nipples but not genitalia. They have very choices when it comes to fabric where it's normally smooth knit or polyester suede. 2WT Lycra is picking up though.

Doujins are unrestricted by most will still conceal genitalia, there are a small handful where they will draw completely uncensored artwork, which is the kind that I love most. Coincidentally, these uncensored dakimakuras are extremely popular, and they fetch a high price in auctions. Furthermore, they come in a large variety of materials, nowadays most are made from 2WT/2WT Lycra or 2WR. And currently, only one doujin circle uses 4WT, undeniably the most durable fabric.

Now about bootlegs, these normally are knockoffs of both licensed and doujin dakimakuras, their print quality will almost be assured to be less colorful and detailed as the original. And they are always made with peachskin polyester because it's one of the cheapest fabric currently. In short, it's pretty much : "what you pay, is what you get".Look back one page and you can see comparison photos which I put up.

Some very nice new additions; that Mio cover was one of my first dakimakura covers, and is still probably one of my favorites.

I just recently got a new batch myself, I'll have to take some pictures sometime.
