Dakimakuras anyone?

Yeah, it's a recent thing. Evening Call ran a survey months back asking which covers people would like to be resold. After months of sitting on the results, they finally put the batch up on that link a week or two ago. I really want the one done by pen on that page.

I'll keep an eye out for the cover you linked.

Have I been missing out a lot? Havn't the chance to be here thanks to my ROG Laptop's GPU dying on me.

Hmm, thats Cospa's Tsukiumi. Cospa has a habit of re-prinitng covers, but the last time I saw this was back in Sep 2010.

Also, my EC Alice doesn't ship until May so I feel ya' there. But it's nice to have something to look forward to.

Yeah, that cover has been out for a long time! But I wonder, Sep 2010? Re-print of this? If they do, that's pretty awesome but nuts at the same time!

And I can't believe both of you have ROG laptops... I wish I have one! Though I saw one at my local electronics store on sale for $1100.

Well, that was around the time where Sekirei Pure Engagement was still airing, the show aired during July. So Cospa reprinted it. Prior to that it was printed back where the first season of Sekirei aired which I can't when that was.

I'm using G73S series ROG. For something so pricy, it sure isn't very capable, I bought it like just like June.

What's up with this newfangled ROG shit? D: I actually had never heard of them, but I'm not much of a laptop person myself, especially for gaming. I'm a firm believer that gaming should be done on a desktop. :D

I like laptops because you can bring them around, and I need that since my Uni is starting Soon in July.

ROGs are ASUS line of gaming notebooks like how Alienware are Dell's line of gaming notebooks and desktops.



And seriously, with this kind of horsepower on a laptop, it's more then enough to compare to most high end desktops.

Yeah, laptops are definitely great as far as portability is concerned. I just can't get used to typing on a smaller scale keyboard myself and not having a real mouse is an absolute travesty. I guess it's a matter of personal preference but I couldn't see myself gaming regularly on a laptop, even if it were comparable in specs.

Might also be because I've become a cheap bastard when it comes to these things. I built my desktop last year and everything ran me just a bit less than $600. It can still take just about everything I throw at it without any hassle. Not sure how much those laptops runs, but I know in general the price comparison between a similarly specced desktop/laptop usually isn't very pretty.

Well, nothing stops you connecting a proper keyboard and mouse to a laptop. Or even a larger monitor too if you want.

Yeah, that's a given even if it does essentially defeat the purpose of a laptop. I guess you could go that way at home and just use it as normal elsewhere, but I'm fine with just a desktop myself.

The dakimakura blog has been really active the last few hours. Normally the weekends are pretty dead as far as updates go, but I've checked it several times in an hour period and always came back to a new cover. Guess events have a tendency to bump activity up.

I have prepared about 1k to handle the incoming onslaught of covers. Though I doubt that will be enough thanks to my 2 covers policy.

Short of the usual Evening Call covers and such, there actually isn't much on the horizon that has caught my interest thus far. I'm looking forward to some of the Stylus Limited covers (the bondage loli, of course >_>) and the Cresta cover that unfortunately looks like it will be a COMIC1☆6 exclusive.

I will pick up MugenKidou's cover. Not sure what else will appear. And what is the this Cresta cover you speak off?

Quite like tomose shunsaku's one too.. but will have to see how the pricing for it goes, I might hold out for a web order release of it in future.. The Clesta one is the Raika one which is quite nice too.
