Do you mind the use of slang and/or improper contractions like "what're" in hentai?

I don't. It's how people talk, so I don't see a problem if it's used in an appropriate place.

First page woot. But I wouldn't go that far. As improper as it may be, it still makes sense to most native English speaking people. I don't really care either way use it every other word.

A little bit is fine, but...Just don't screw up the translation way much then it's fine for me.

Depends on the type or mood I'm in. When I want a good story I'll pick Yes. If I just want to masturbate then they could use windings for all I care.

Long as they don't begin using Internet slang I'm fine with it. If anything I'd actually prefer the odd slang word here and there.

I mind small things like like "U" as long as its readable an dey don typ liek diz than yeah I'm good with a little slang every now and then

This is how people speak, so it's more natural to speak like real people. Who wants every sentence to be forced anyway? Half the captions aren't even words, so I don't expect the other half to even have proper spelling.

Well, personally I don't mind but voted that I do...
My reasoning is that it is perfectly fine as long as it is used correctly - like when trying to point out that the character uses slang or informal language...
On the other hand, if the original character uses proper, formal language, then I don't see why should it by translated in slang English...
(does it make any sense?)

I've translated hentai before(and anime for that matter).
Unless the character is explicitly messing up their Japanese, like being drunk or having their mind turn into mush from sex, everything should be correct English.
Also a translator should stick to one kind of English, not swap back and forth between UK English and US English.

I would say it should be written based upon how it was in the original Japanese. "If they be speakin li' a gangsta". it should be reflected in the translation. Or if they are not using contractions and slang. It should show that too.
