Wow, I just finished reading all 14 1/2 pages of this, and I must say I wish most threads were more like this.
Tho I kinda dont, since if they were there really would be no fun shits and giggles for no reason.
...plus I wouldnt be able to "get" most of what people were saying as Waar mentioned before...
@Waar I was one of the people who asked for a thread about the ruu thing and I thanked you for that, I have no problem with most people here except the ones who were obviously trolling, in my mind, I always too everything TMS said as trolling, or "being a dick" as I put it but thats because thats how I viewed him at the time a dick for trying to get someone to change what they say...
@ TMS Im sorry for not being understanding, but you did make a reputation for being a troll, so I kind of have a just cause for thinking that.
As for the Idea of enforcing the rules to a degree, I think it would be a bad idea since as I pointed out...
There are numerous posts that have loli in them and I doubt many people would be happy if they couldnt post what they like...
anyway to end this...
lol, late slowpoke post, but at least I kinda got my opinion kinda heard...

thought if you post guro on the forums it will be deleted with possible repercussions, just so you're aware. (many users have seen a ban for it)

I'm saying that loli is alright in nosebleed section but guro isn't, even if it isn't in the rules the staff have banned for it in the past. I was telling the general public.

not sure what skype has to do with anything, the people who use it don't do so to create laws or rules for the forums... we simply discuss topics on our minds, which sometimes include the forums. The fact that some of the staff join us from time to time (it is fairly rare) doesn't mean anything other than they like to be treated like regular members at times as well. What made you believe we skype members/the fakku staff made decisions in skype?I never said that people were making decisions in Skype. Sindalf said that people were talking in Skype about these issues, and I felt the need to point out that while people are free to talk about whatever they want on Skype, it'd be foolish to try to take what is said there and bring it back to the forums as if it was actually discussed by forum users. Even if every person that uses Skype also posts regularly on the forums, they may not equal even five percent of the forum population.
Just to be clear, I do not have anything against Skype or IRC or chatroll or anything like that. I simply believe that saying "Let's talk about forum issues on [whatever]" isn't that helpful. If problems with the forum are going to be discussed by regular users, it should be done on the forums. That way, no one can possibly be left out.

right, so then what makes you think we do what you're saying?
the question is still valid and still goes unanswered.
edit: if you're talking about sindalf's idea to have a pow wow it's obvious that he's going to try and gather the worst offenders to see if they can come to an understanding... you don't need the majority of the forum to be there if you want to inspire change...

Whatever, man. All I was doing was pointing out that if people tried to discuss forum issues someplace other than the forum, it might not help because people might see it as those people forming their own clique. After all, we've seen that happen before, with the IRC and Chatroll. (Not necessarily people forming cliques, but people feeling as though cliques were being formed.)
I was not saying anything definite, I was not saying that people were doing anything or were going to do anything; I was simply stating a possible outcome for what something that may possibly happen.

@Gentlepervert & PD: That comment wasn't directed at any one person, I just phrased it that way because I found it amusing.
@ShagguJebus: From my point of view the idea of a Skype chat that involves as many people as we can get in (which is unfortunately a rather small number) is an attempt at seeing if people can see each other in a different way and have a talking speed conversation (this is kinda hard and clumsy on a forum) about what can be done to make the general fakku experience (the forums, IRC, Chatroll, everything) somewhat better for everyone. It's not that anyone will come to any official conclusions (I think the admins are even being asked to not join in, though Sindalf would know more details about that) it's that we'll have people getting together to discuss ideas that will then be brought to the forums. I'm sure someone (or multiple people) will give accounts of what was said and by whom. And well from there we'll see if we should have more Skype chats with different people or come up with something good here or whatever.
@lolz: Why would you ask if this is still going on? It's stickied therefore opened up to being a perpetual never ending discussion (um...or fight if things go badly...).

Oh good grief. I'm gone for two weeks and I miss everything.
*reads the boy who cried Elitist*
Oh yeah, that was me. Meh, what can I say I kind of agree with your stance on that, but I also don't. Oh well. One of the adages you probably hate says it best, "It's the internet. Get over it." It's hard. The internet should be help up to the same level of decency as real life, but at the same time people need to stop getting bent out of shape over something someone says on the internet.

Apparently, a lot of people think there's elitism on Fakku (or have thought so in the past).

few days ago (2 perhaps?), and this is just speculation but the thread veered off from it's original point quite a bit.

Just read this thread front start to finish (yes, I have nothing to do at all) and this is all I learned:
You're all a bunch of sycophant and hypocrites.

I wasn't going to reply to this, but after seeing that at least someone had enough bravery to speak his mind, I figure what the hell? I agree with practically everything in the original post. You might say something along the lines of "You CAN'T agree with it, you don't know people, you haven't been here enough, etc." (Yes, I've heard it before.)
There's a reason that some members post maybe 10 or so times and just leave. It's because this forum is rather intimidating. If someone isn't well-known, doesn't lurk in the IRC, or doesn't kiss the ass of everyone who says something to them, then they pretty much get a giant "fuck you" and find somewhere else. I honestly don't see how in the hell I gathered up as many posts as I have now - I switched to a different forum for some time (And still go there on occasion,) because the folks over there weren't total fucking assholes to each other. Tell me to get lost if I don't like it, flame me, do whatever serves to make your e-peen larger in the eyes of yourself and your fucking fanboys.
I used to AVOID coming here because of some of the shit I got for being a Lolicon (which now I just fucking ignore because half of the people who reply to the threads only have half a fucking brain to start with,) so when I started coming back only to see that NOTHING had changed, I questioned even coming back to begin with, although after seeing this thread I think there's at least SOME hope for change.
And it's not like IRC's any fucking better. I'm not asking for people to say that I've been in there and said "whatever" because yes I've been in there and tried to make a few friends, and yes I did somewhat suck-up because I wanted to actually be someone and, you know, having a fucking good time. It's a shame that a person has to try and kiss-ass or change themselves just to be accepted on a damn forum, something that shouldn't even need to happen in the first place. I stopped going into the IRC because I was always ignored - And I'm not saying BOO HOO NO ONE TALKS TO ME, I'm saying that seriously. I'd try to contribute to conversation and just get ignored. Friendly atmosphere my ass.
After reading the first post and FINALLY getting my opinion out as well, I guess I feel a bit better now. I gave you guys PLENTY of flame fodder, so have at it. I won't bother replying, so don't worry about an argument.
It's about time people start speaking up.
