How fucking stupid are people going to get?

People are not just one way or another: we're an entire damn species.Intelligence and common sense vary within a huge range.
*sigh*
I know, I'm just can't wrap my mind around what some people are thinking sometimes. My uncle told me about those two things and I thought the first was ridiculous. Lets charge the owners if a dog barks longer than... , "A dog’s barking is considered excessive if it continues for 10 minutes or more, or intermittently for 30 minutes or more within a three-hour period, Lesel said." I'm just... have we really come to this? DEFINING EXCESSIVE BARKING???? I mean for fuck's sake.
And with the other, charging people rent for being in jail and... "Stone’s plan could also charge admission fees for people who visit inmates." I mean are you trying to run at the wall at full force? SHIT! I cracked up for quite a few minutes there, but Im just so ANGRY. Firstly, poor people are in jail. Poor and crazy people populate the jails and prisons. Why are they in jail? They're deviants, outcasts in society. They fucked up somewhere and were caught. How do we help them after the first offense? Let them out with some programs MAYBE that keeps an eye on them MAYBE and reintroduce them to society with next to no help. No REAL help.
Of course if you dont TEACH THEM, they're going to go back to what they know. Now the poor and crazy cant help themselves. Some PRISONS are BETTER than some of these peoples real lives. Some people can't afford their basic needs and prison gives it to them. Crazy people are just that. What do we do with people we don't like? Put them all together in a little box and ignore them.
Now... lets see how far we can squeeze these people before we drive them to killing themselves or to a point at least where their mind breaks and WE ALL END UP IN PRISON for CHEAP LABOR!! What kills me is that... its just so STUPID AND ITS REAL! Some fucking politician somewhere was thinking... now we have no state funds so where can we squeeze that isn't going to lead to a real uproar. Sneaky fucking bastards!!!!!
If CA wants to quit bleeding, CHARGE FOR MARIJUANA!!! So fucking available its ridiculous. Just tax Marijuana and put the funds towards FIXING WITHIN THE GODDAMN SYSTEM. Create something, improve something, put money into people so they can create money for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm just so angry its giving me a headache.
bah, something thats much easyer then that, through the entire prison system alltogether. bring in stocks lashing posts and a system like that of citisenship in starship trooper. it be much MUCH more cost efficive, and MUCH more effictive in general, theres nothing people fear more then public humiliation. and for the hard ones, the ones who really dont give a damn, gallows and choping block. sounds bad sure but truth is it would work and soulve us one hell of a problem. everyones just to pussy to do it.

Fuck whats next?
Getting arrested for being naked in your home,
certain sexual positions being illegal,
gay rights restrictions,
a person being 2 years younger ruled as statutory rape,
illegal non drug consumer goods(like certain hentai)
Tax hikes,
Masturbation bans,
job losses due to religious preferences,
the mindfucks of scientific discovery & mental revelation,
increased births/increased deaths/increased greed vs. less resources & inflation,
Increased madness,
All these badass new games forcing me to spend hundreds within weeks breaking my perfect lifelong cheapskate streak,
And now this shit is added in!
What the fuck is with all this need to control the lives of others?
-insert revelation about how the world is slowly coming to an end now-

As far as I know, many of these things were considered illegal sometime in some countries. I guess there's no country that ever had a "moralist constitution".
I've known of masturbation bans in churches and cults, of atheist people losing jobs because of their beliefs. I even knew a guy who thought that it was convenient for the government to have more children in the country, so the condoms dispensed at hospitals were pierced on purpose by the government, and why he didn't trust those condoms.

It responds to the idea of everyone being the same, so there's no diversity and make the world easier to understand.

Lol, just teach your dog to not bark all the time... like my dog. Edit: Or get a ninja dog <.< No one will ever hear them until its too late...
some dogs can't be stopped. my dog CaCa can't help her self. when she gets excited she barks like crazy. her previous owners even had her de-barked, but she powered through it and now is louder than all the other dogs we have.
she does try though. if i yell at her to shut up, she runs and chews on her bone. like a smoker trying to quit eats candy. no one taught her that either. she came up with it on her own about a year ago.

I've always thought if a dog never barks it's because it's been abused. The only dogs I've seen that don't bark ever have had abusive owners in the past I even knew of one dog that wouldn't eat or drink with out being told to do so.

Oh wow that's a really cool thing she's taught herself. XD
It's really unfortunate though how her previous owners failed to de-bark her. Dogs are so impressionable when they're young, so it helps a lot to train them them right when they're puppies ya know???

I'm not saying I am in favor of this proposed legislation, but I can definitely understand where its coming from. In a perfect world we would never need something like this because people would respect one another, unfortunately that seldom happens any more. People scream about 'their' rights and forget it stops being 'their' right when it begins to effect others around them. Radio volume laws are an excellent example, do we need them? We shouldn't, and wouldn't if people simply had some consideration for those around them. It stops being "your" music when you play it so loudly that it wakes up everyone around you. More self-control and responsibility and people wouldn't have to turn to these types of desperate measures in the first place.

that thing about old dogs and new tricks is a myth. the previous owners weren't at fault in any way, they just couldn't keep her because of an HOA. they actually are quite accomplished obediance and rally trainers. some dogs just can't be trained in some ways. much of dogs behaviour is genetic. we used to have an austrailian shepard, and it never had any herding training, but it still was always manuevering and trying to corale the other dogs(and even some kids).
these dogs are meant to hunt in packs, and i've noticed a few different roles that they seem to have. some are the coarsers, some dig when the prey has gone to ground, some act as a look out while the others are more focused on the prey. this one is like the heart. she keeps the others motivated and the adrenaline up by constantly barking. she keeps the rest from losing interest if the prey is out of sight or the scent is lost.

Wow I never looked at it that way. I just thought barking constantly was annoying , but its actually for hunting and stuff. O.o
I have a golden retriever, and he's like the biggest wimp ever, but very lovable lol, and he never really barks except at the neighbor's dog sometimes. I guess retrievers didn't really have to bark eh? Since all they did was get the dead animals, and bring them back to the hunter. I don't know for sure though. xD

Is like passing a law that forbids rain during a determined time period or that temperature can't be higher than 24ºC in summer. It's insane!
Now, dogs are not regulated by reason like us (I know this is going to be debated, but I find no better word for it) so they can't control themselves when an action like barking is controlled by their instinct. You might say "well, then shut it up" but it can't be done that easily. We are not César Millán, you know.

you're right about retrievers, they are meant to sit still and keep quiet while waiting in blinds.
speaking of interesting/odd behaviour, i'm also reminded of an irish setter(a pointer) i knew who was annoying to play fetch with. you'd throw the ball, and she would run after, but she wouldn't pick it up, just stand there and stare at it.

Stupid people that can't do their jobs without bringing in the politics... just do your job and go home to your better life... don't make the workplace you home of idiocy too.

Actually ... no, rain is beyond control and any attempt to legislate it would be ridiculous. I have owned many dogs throughout my long life and also been on the annoyed end when people found it too inconvenient to train their dog and fell back on the "it's out of my control" excuse. Dogs are like children, they are only out of your control when you make no effort to train or control them. The proposed legislation does not outlaw barking but excessive barking. Sorry but if you can not or will not control your dog (especially today where many people live in apartments or tract housing) where noises are easily transmitted ... then its no longer your right. If it infringes on others it ceases to be your music, your dog or whatever. Like I said, I don't necessarily agree with the proposal, but I can certainly see where its coming from and would not call it stupid. Frankly I think it would be much fairer to consider it the result of inconsiderate people.
Edit - its like saying because dogs are going to poo, you as the owner shouldn't have to clean up after them. It a little thing called responsibility. And if we are all not César Millán (and btw, training a dog responsibly isn't that hard, and yes I have done it several times) the services of someone like Cesar are available. Pet ownership is not a right, it is a privilege, and with it comes responsibilities.

So many points during the day, when I walk around school or a shopping plaza, I keep saying to myself, "Why the hell do you have this job." or "Why the fuck did you get a grant, I'm way better than you." That could just be my ego talking, but I'm sick of dumb people getting ahead.

Ok, lazyness is not an excuse. I get it and that's a good point indeed. There's no excuse to be inconsiderate and to not to have common sense. Also, I didn't see this problem thinking in people in apartments or reduced spaces. But the cure to a lack of common sense is not by law, but by education. Ok, seems like education is the panacea, but I think that it actually can make a lot of difference. Law enforcement in these terms are a little off.

Pet ownership is not a right, it is a privilege, and with it comes responsibilities. The same as above, common sense over law enforcement. Also, responsibility. No one wants to be responsible these days because of many reasons, mostly lazyness. Lazyness to teach about responsibility and lazyness to take care of stuff. "Let's just dump it and buy another", I've heard a lot of times.
But about training, I see it from my perspective: a guy who lives in the countryside who cannot afford a trainer because trainers (and vets) are expensive and away from where I live. And by away I mean 5 hours of travel. Well, I'm not in the US either, but I usually put my perspective from that way.
I've had many pets in my life, and have handled them pretty well so far. But the same way I see that not all people know how to handle pets and make many mistakes, mostly because of ignorance... and lazyness.
tl;dr: People need education to have common sense, not laws. And stop being so fucking lazy, because César helps the ones who help themselves. ;)

No argument here - I actually agree and as I stated earlier my argument did not mean I agreed with the proposal simply pointing out where it comes from.
I do dis-agree on one point, I don't think it is simply education, many people simply don't care any more. They fail to acknowledge any world that exists farther than 2 inches from their skin - don't like my loud music, too bad, my barking dog - too bad. Maybe we have become too civilized, there is a saying which applies to earlier times - "a armed society is a polite society". Now a days there simply is no consequence to rude, disrespectful behavior and many people are taking advantage of that fact.

Ok... I'm back on the stupid law trend I suppose... XD
"Sunshine is guaranteed to the masses."
"Bathhouses are against the law."
"Women may not drive in a house coat."
"No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour."
A whole websites with things to laugh at.

What country is that a law in? This is really uncool. I have kind of wanted to go to a bath house. Why? honestly just because I see them in anime's all the time. It makes me want to try it
