The Slut Movement - Should it be allowed?
Should girls be allowed to dress however they want even if its totally slutty?

It really shouldn't be a Slut Movement but more of a Woman Movement. Who likes to be objectified anyways? Women are more than mere sluts. While there is nothing wrong in choosing one's clothing style, I find it disturbing that one of the women in the video commented that no one should mind if she chose to dress in her undergarments. There is nothing "wrong" per se in choosing to only wear brief/thongs in public places. It's just bad social etiquette. I find it interesting that despite the protest against objectification of women, few mentioned objectification of men. Should we men be objectified? Or perhaps we aren't even conscious of it? I don't support the Slut Movement not because of its core message, but because of how they base their expectations and actions on the media's interpretation of women. A woman is more than a slut or her piece of clothing; she is divine, witty, full of character, and unique of her own right.

I'm totally alright with this. These women are absolutely right, your dress is NEVER EVER an invitation to assault.
I will never understand why the victim gets blamed when it's the attacker who CHOSE to act in the manner they did.
Also props to them for reclaiming the word "Slut", I love it when an insult gets turned on it's head =3

Girls dressed like sluts are rape magnets. Hence why I find it better for women to wear modest clothing.Really? You honestly blame clothing when rape occurs often regardless of dress (think children, prison, military, etc)?
Such assumptions assume YOU have no control over YOURself as a person.

Is it just me or is that picture wiggling...Either way, yeah, the picture is right. If you're in a dangerous area, you should probably presume everyone is a rapist or mugger. So I don't take offense lol. Negative view of humanity as a whole, but a realistic one.

It should be allowed, but don't they blame people if they will be raped. Besides, it's their own decision to provoke the sleeping dragons of men.

Fun how some people don't realize this simple logic:
Should women be allowed to wear whatever they want?
Of course! They can do that already. You can wear whatever you want wherever you want. (And hence, why this movement is pointless)
Is rape bad?
Obviously, yes.
Are rapists the one to blame and those who should be punished for their acts?
Again, obviously, yes.
Now, with that said, can you stop a rapist from doing what he wants?
No, you can't. They are criminals. Criminals don't care for what they should do or not. You can punish them for their acts, but you cannot stop them from doing it. You can't have a policeman standing on every corner of every place and everyone's house to prevent it from happening. It will happen. That is a fact.
So, what can you do, if you can't stop them from doing it?
Surprise! Try to avoid it. One of the ways of avoiding it? Wearing "non-slutty" (for lack of better term) clothes.
Or does anyone here go around walking with his money coming out of his pocket or let your wallet in a easy-to-grab spot? Obviously not. Should robbers steal your money? No, they shouldn't. Will they do it? Yes, they will. What you do? You try to avoid it.
