What interests you most in anime?

It's a combination of Art, Story, Characters & Music (if any).

All of those and the relationships between characters interest me in anime

Honestly it's hard to pinpoint what interests me most in anime. As said before, we all like anime because good ones have a great story backed by great characters with maybe great art and great voice acting.

What i'm looking for when watching an anime is pretty much a mix of voice acting, art and story. if one of these is really bad the entire anime is ruined for me.

It just depends on the animu.

I chose other simply because...I like all sorts of things in my anime.

Like, mostly i watch for the story, but there are times where I check it out because a character interested me.

Voice acting...as long as it's good and NOT A DUB, I'll happily accept it.

Generally art has no bearing for me. It can have subpar art, but a great story etc i'd still watch whereas a modern anime that has great art but a crap story/characters i would NOT watch it.

Pure fanservice anime is fun, sometimes, but mostly story + characters do the trick for me.

Story takes first Priority.
Then Art, then Soundtrack, then everything else.

Fate Zero, my favorite anime has a nice story, great art and an awesome soundtrack by yours truly Yuki Kajiura. Any Anime or Visual novel of that sort is a good one in my books

I'm interested in all of it. At first it was Story and art, then I started loving characters, and eventually the Japanese seiyuu and male voice actors as well. I am interested in it as a whole medium.

I voted "other" because if I find an anime interesting it's not just because one of the reasons above.
It's all of them together.

Well, I may start watching an anime because people told be it has an interesting story, and midway, I start to like it's art-style.

Or I see an anime that looks amazing and I either get to like it's story or continue watching it simply because it's pleasing to my eyes. (most ecchi animes)

A good story is a must. While i may not fully enjoy the art in some anime, if the story is terrible i just can't stay with it.

The story. I also lump comedies in this.

Well, I really can't separate them all and single one of them out.. But Nothing's better than a really graphic anime with an awesome plot accompanied by smooth music. xD

I will go with Art seconded by story.

people wont look at Dante at DMC even with his bad ass attitude if its isnt about postapocalypse history and rebelling against hell and vs his evil brother
or Ghost in the Shell without its futuristic and complicated and interesting plot
or Hell girl if its isnt about ppl selling soul for vengeance
or Gun x Sword if its isnt about a man journey for revenge even with more badass robot than gundam

This is a though one but I'm going to go with Characters because I notice that most of my favorite animes don't have a grand story but the characters are what make the story worth watching.
