Music.
Art, story, and CV are important but music means a lot to me. A scene can be made or broken by the score that accompanies it.

Sure all of the above are important, especially voice acting which is why I read (I can do my own voice acting that way). but probably on the top of my list is music.
Gotta have that theme song!!

The key part of anime is not art, or even story, it is the voice acting. Would Lelouch be as popular if he was voiced by some weezy high toned amateur? Would girls still be fangirling over L if he sounded like Naruto (Whose voice, which I'm not ashamed to say) was annoying and sometimes caused headaches which is part of the reason I stopped watching about the time the Third Head Guy bought the dirt sammich. Back to the point, great sounding characters almost make me not even see the plot-holes that perforate most anime.
My order would be
1. Voice Acting
2. Character
3. Story
4. Art
P.S. I just came here to fap! Why do you do this to me Fakku?

I had a strong urge to vote for Seiyuu or Story, but I voted Other. Mainly because anime has become so formulaic these days, it's hard to find anything unique that sets a standard of its own anymore. Not that they aren't out there, but it's few are far between.
Don't get me wrong! I still watch all of the anime I come across, but I find myself actively hunting down shows that are willing to go the route less traveled.

I am most interested in story. I love slice-of-life and 4 panel stuff lately, though sometimes I like action such as Shingeki no Kyojin. Clannad specifically made me laugh, cry, and hope at the same time more than any other anime I have seen.

Voices to me are the most important. Most of the time I watch a show based on whom the voice actors are for the characters. I'm attached to certain seiyuu's voices and would watch a show that I would otherwise have no interest in just to hear their voice.

Story than character.. I feel the art should naturally be in and voice acting makes it all the better from an emotional standpoint.. Exactly why I Like Clannad

Voted Other. Was going to vote Story, but I think the most important aspect of any story is the storytelling. There are countless adaptations out there that have received poor ratings even though they had great source materials simply because the adaptation couldn't portray the story well enough enough

The most is story by all odds , If the story suck , I won't waste my time watching it .
And If I watch it and the art is suck [Old lines] , I may feel annoyed.
I would like loli girls voice too [real important with loli characters !!]

i see most people went with story...to which everybody thought the question was "what is most important in anime?" But the question was "what interests you most", and for me definitely the most distinctive quality of anime is the art. There are plenty of other media that provide better quality in terms of a provocative and engaging story, but the anime art/animation is the one thing that drew me one (and I'm guessing for most people). Because how often have you stuck with an anime despite the fact it had a cliche/mediocre storyline for shallower reasons?

I think everything is important for an anime... And i choose for the character since i love cute character. But maybe some of the story aren't really interesting but still it is a anime. Voice acting is also needed to be match for the character. and yup.. i think i will make it 1st-Character 2nd-Story and 3rd-Voice Actor .. (。・ω・。)

Characters, hands down. That's something I pride myself in doing in my own stories (making sure the characters and their development are done justice), and I love watching the little interactions between them, like in the skits in the Tales of games.

All of the elements mentioned in the poll interest me, but personally I'm most interested in the unique story that reflects Japanese thought and history, and yet (as hentai does) also speaks to something universal. It's the paradox of art.
