Mustn't Run Away...
Just wondering how religion holds up on FAKKU. I'm not a hardcore Athiest or a devote Catholic or any extreme like that ,but I assume theirs gotta be some "Greater" force, Probably not some insecure deity that needs me to see him on Sundays to worship him, but maybe something else. Opinions ?
Side note: Who honestly believes they aren't worm-food after they die ?

"I'm an atheist, I don't believe in God"
Technically wouldn't that make someone a nontheist?
As Atheism means believing that God does not exist.

Atheism only means that if that's your own definition of atheism. If you break it down, atheism just means without god, or lacking a belief in god. It is not a belief, nor is it a claim, just like saying "I don't believe in santa claus" isn't a claim that santa doesn't exist.
A non-theist is and atheist.

...I don't see why that would not work. For me, that's basically the same thing, just worded differently.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

Short and simple answer: No. Long Answer: I don't see the point in this "living forever" stuff, that sounds like it would get seriously boring after awhile anyway. Plus I find the god that many worship to be a tyrant and asshole, just saying.

True, but if there is no evil, then there also be no good. And since religions (most) call people to 'do good', nothing would ever be accomplished for anyone.
If there is a 'great beyond', why would he stop people from getting to it? That's like winning the lottery, but your dad donating all of the money to charity.
'Evil' comes from choice, without choice, there would be no point in life. We'd be perfect, because any imperfection is 'evil'.
Call him God because he says to. (I dunno, I bullshitted this last one because I'm lazy =3=).

That would imply things such as "evil" and "good" exist, but they are subjective at best. The world is not black and white, but different shades of gray.
On top of that, I'm not a fan of dualities. They simplify shit too much.

Depends on what the 'great beyond' looks like. It could also be a hellish nightmare.
And look at it this way - if the great beyond was such a great place and everybody would get there without limitations, life would lose it's very meaning (if it ever had one). You could just take a shortcut, kill yourself. Easy access to Paradise.
And if there were limitations, that would mean that somebody or something dictates how we have to live our life - not a very nice thought, right.

'Without choice, there would be no point in life' - true. But that's exactly what happens if a transcendental entity imposes rules on us.
