Short and simple answer: No. Long Answer: I don't see the point in this "living forever" stuff, that sounds like it would get seriously boring after awhile anyway. Plus I find the god that many worship to be a tyrant and asshole, just saying. what is it like to be atheist?
I've never known the alternative, so I can't really say it's changed me in anyway. I've never been a believer that changed his mind; I never believed in it in the first place. So, to me it's just an extension of who I've always been.

The kid inside of me believes in god but the grownup inside is an atheist (<strange accurance in fakku or a key similarity in personalities?)

I was never able to answer that question,I can't believe all the bullshit in the story's, but since I don't have any real reason not to believe,I believe. And if there is a paradise I don't want to live there,it would bee too boring.

Let me give you a little inside information about God. God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts. He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, His own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Ahaha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is He doing? He's laughin' His sick, fuckin' ass off. He's a tight-ass. He's a sadist. He's an absentee landlord. Worship that? Never.

Believe in God? To be more specific, I do believe that there is a God... Well, even the most genius Albert Einstein once said, that everything here can surprisingly function in harmony as if created personally by hand... He even said that it's impossible for everything to not have a source, just like for every effect, there is always a cause, & thus he called him "The Original One"...
As an Agnostic, I do have the same belief as Einstein, as well as I also believe in evolution, & that it only stopped because we Humans no longer adapt to the environment, because we tried to manipulate it ourselves...
But believing that God is good all the time, & that he's only challenging you when he's giving you nightmares, is another question... Just like, if we were created fairly, then why are other people rich, while others can't even afford a single candy... or why he needed to cast out Lucifer, just because he's arrogant... doesn't that mean that God is also prideful because he didn't want others to go beyond him? As an Agnostic, I believe in possibilities, but thinking about these too much won't get you anywhere in life...

"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings." - Albert Einstein
His idea of a god is quite different than a spook on a cloud that condemns you to a horrible fate or rewards you for being a good little lemming.

I'm an Atheist, so no.
But, as the Director Nicholas Meyer said:
"Point a gun at my head and find out what I really think."
Basically he said no one really knows what they believe in regards to religion until they face that penultimate moment before death where everything comes to a head. Any Christian can claim to believe in God without, and any Atheist can deny God when they truly believe. People don't know what they believe until they are truly forced to make a decision.
I like that theory.

Can't help but do this.

Also, how funny it is seeing people keep on mistaking what Einstein meant by god... heh. They just need someone famous to agree with them that much huh?

Face it: we don't like to die. I like living long so I can see the rest of history unfold, and so do many others.
That's why people are doing research on how to prevent aging. It's just the nature of living things to want to keep on living.
But before modern biology and medicine, people had no logical way of surviving for long time. They all had to end in death, no matter how well off they may be. That's why so many people in the old ages tried to find ways to live forever. The common folks just had to believe in life after death to give themselves the possibility of living longer.
I'm not a believer, but I won't reject the slim possiblities of external existance. Regardless, it seems to me that the belief in a "great beyond" it just a mental shield for bracing against the impact of fear of death.

Whoa, borderline there... I did say I believe that there is a God like Einstein, but I never said that God is totally good... I might even agree that God is malevolent, able but not willing...
I even pointed out that God may not even be that pure, for casting out Lucifer just because he doesn't want anyone to go beyond him, or more so, if what is written in bible is true, he doesn't even want us men to acquire intellect...
My point, as an Agnostic, I do believe the existence of an omnipotent one, but whether he uses his power for good or evil will always be a question!

Roman Catholic.
The supposed absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence. People refuse to believe in "miracles", discount an omnipotent benevolent being over "evil", and use vaguely understood science to explain common occurrences.
I see a power greater than myself in the fundamental workings of the universe (quantum physics, gravity, psychic fields, etc.), know people who miracles happened to (disappearing cancer--uncle, walking cripples--grandfather, direct visitation--mother), and understand that without tampering with free will (a skill given to Man, in the image of The Creator), a utopia is near impossible when left to our own devices.
Religions throughout the world, through all of time, share common characters, common stories, and similar basic rules. I chose to acknowledge the oldest continuing tradition*, with a rational "spin". The Church is not right on every front, having been created and sustained by man. I do not believe in condemning others for differing belief. I don't even condemn those who have abortions, or are homosexuals. I just try to keep a level head, and reassess as I go along.
If I'm incorrect, and have the wrong religion; than the guidelines are the same, and I'm near clear.
If I'm incorrect, and it doesn't matter; than it doesn't matter. Afterlife will continue regardless of my actions during this one.
If I'm incorrect, and there is no afterlife; than that sucks, but it won't matter because I DON'T EXIST.
Ask me about it, whatever. I'll probably be more coherent in the morn.
Oh, and as a psychically sensitive person, I feel a distinct presence when I go to mass. Could be psychosomatic, but I choose to believe.
*Jesus fulfilled the Jewish prophecy pertaining to the messiah. Judaism has been in existence since the dawn of dawn, but being a reclusive and persecuted people, records are spotty.

Then why the hell bother posting? You did post it to try to prove that what I've said was wrong, & that we only used Einstein's words & philosophies because he's famous... What I only did was clarify myself, when it's obvious you're not understanding enough of what you're reading...
Just like they say, "Think before you speak... Because it's only looking obvious how stupid you are"...

Googled 'Epicurus'
It's amazing how internet retardation is the 2nd search result when you google a famous philosopher.
