Is suicide wrong?
0
I would like to say suicide is wrong, not because its a sin: I'm not Christan =P,
but does it really hurt to live because of your emotions? physical pain i can understand, some people can still feel the pain even with strong pain killers but emotions are not the same, u can control your emotions but some people let them take over and get depressed and "hurt". Suicide from emotions is something i really hate and wished the person was still alive so i could beat the shit out of them.
Those kinds of suicide can be prevented by therapy and counseling, which they might be scared of but would help them get on track to a better life, no-one truly wishes to die, as humans we all want to live.

Suicide isn't wrong. People should be able to do anything they want to their bodies. Now, regarding these people who speak of Sin
There's a lot of people that say it's a Sin. Well, yeah. So are a lot of thinks like sex before marriage and no babies before marriage and stuff like that. And those people still think they go to heaven. Sin is forgiven.
Yes but you have to repent for your sins or they won't be forgiven. That's why suicide is wrong because you can't repent for it (note: there's still alot of things wrong with suicide but in this case I'm only referring to it being a sin)
I was under the impression that sins were forgiven once you accepted Christ as your savior. or are you one of those who believe Christians go to hell if they kill themselves?
I'm not into religious studies and tbh, the entire premise of getting into Heaven confuses me a bit (i.e someone equivalent of Mother Theresa belongs to another religion going to hell while someone who killed millions with his own hands repents on his death bed going to heaven) but all I know is that you have to repent and accept Jesus as your savior. Just accepting Him doesn't mean you repent after all.

Yes it is!
Live life to the fullest in the good way.
Killing one's self means escaping away from everything and that sucks.
and most of all its a sin

Suicide is a permanent solution to a small problem. When people do not have coping skills they want to end their life. There are more negative effects of suicide than good.
1. You will make people around you hate you instead of grieving for your death.
2. You might even influence your loved ones to commit suicide as well.
3. Once you are dead, you will become nothing more than a name on a tombstone.
Develop those coping skills and talk to loved ones or friends about your situation.

This begs the question: Which is the good way?

I'm guessing the way without causing mischief but I guess it depends on your POV

Killing oneself is truly ending it all, like a story life should be filled with both good and bad events after all thats what helps us grow up and become human as well as learn emotions especially love. Suicide is just waste of a good life worth living.

As for Rbz's statement, if the only argument to why suicide is wrong is that they're quitting, then yeah, I agree. But if it's not the main reason and only a supporting statement, then I disagree.lurn2read
My statement was obviously pro suicide.

Wow, I did not expect this thread to attract the religious crazies on this scale. I can't help but laugh whenever somebody speaks of something as a sin. According to your book God created man the way he wanted them to be. Man sins, and God made them that way. What now? And to reiterate my answer on suicide, it is quitting. Don't be a wimp, tough it out.

Forewarning though. Anyone who is religious don't bother watching it, and don't bother complaining to me if you do anyway.

This thread is off topic and awesome now. Was thinking of posting that vid, but meh, verbal dissent is better.

... Holy shit. That guy scares me a little, but thanks for the vid in support.

killing your self for something stupid like a a girlfriend or a material object is stupid. I don't want to talk about suicide for religion. but if your in unbelievable pain or attached to life support than i could see suicide as an option.

As for the confessing thing, like I said in an earlier post, that kind of situation still confuses me (I'm probably the last person you wanna ask about it also).
We were born sinners because of our ancestors' sins. And just because God knows what sins you'll commit doesn't mean He'll control you to not do them. There's a difference between foresight and controlling. And we all commit a sin at least once in our life, we're not perfect. It's not like we can't be forgiven for them.
This really strayed off-topic because people started complaining about sin being A reason. If you guys didn't like that reason, then ignore it. This topic was about whether suicide is wrong or not, so give your own damn opinion instead of bashing other people's opinion. And for those of you who did but still bashed, mind your own fucking business. If the person who asked if suicide is wrong doesn't agree with "it's a sin" being a reason, then he/she will ignore it him/herself.
(Note: I know the bashing is also your opinion but save that bashing for the right thread, derailing this thread won't do any good.)

Our ancestors sinned through their free will.

Your free will is just an illusion.
I noticed that this entire subject is under the complete assumption that God is looking into our futures. But what if He isn't? Just because He can doesn't mean He is.

Satan tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. If you're gonna say why God made that tree to begin with, idk. Go ask Him or Satan, whoever you meet first.

Especially on a public forum in a place called serious discussion, where people will disagree with, and bash your shit.
I never said I didn't like my opinions being ridiculed and I know I'll be bashed, but like I said, this thread is not the place for this shit. This shit is for another thread. I believe you said

Do not forget that God created Satan. Satan used to be one of God's angels ( God created him and what he is ) so would that mean God wanted Satan to rebel and create Hell? And since God created Satan and what he is, God wanted Satan to tempt man into sinning ( an invention of God ) and God is also responsible for how good Satan is at it. Eve never stood a chance since God gave people the capacity for sin.
