N. Korean Artillery Fires Upon S. Korea

The problem with going to war is that N. Korea isn't the most sane of nations. War is never a good thing as any loss of life is horrible, but a War would be more bloody than any other civil war.You have to nations that are aiming all their military might at each other, have their capital's right next to the enemy boarder, and have spent the last fifty years perparing to kill each other.
Not to mention, SK vs NK won't be like Superman vs Lex Luthor, it is more like Batman vs the Joker. NK is such an isolated and paranoid nation, they'll uses any means of Warfare to defeat the south, including nuclear and biological weapons.
This is especially dangerous since Seoul is only a couple miles away from NK. A nuclear or biological strike on the Capital would kill millions. NK would have no problems fighting dirty just like they do in Basketball

I would totally pro war against North Korea...they are getting more and more ridiculous everyday...UN should back S.Korea and blast N.Korea's government and free North Korean's people from their slavery...But doing so would probably cause retaliation from other communist countries. China definitely, I don't know about Russia since NK broke their agreement but would be possible. Then boom, World War 3.

Just hope they don't reach Indonesia...My country is a non-block country...But I'm still pretty WORRIED...If it must be ended with war, then end it by yourselves, no need to drag other countries. I may be pro with war, but absolutely NOT with WW3! XO

Well from my perspective i think both sides are wrong.
As for South Korea they keep doing their military near to the disputed island even though they are already warned by North Korea that they will attack them if they ignored their warning.
However that also did not justified the attack started by North Korea, they should try to give more warning against South Korea compare to just attack immediately and causing causalities on both sides.
Because of this action, the people from both sides will begin to hate each other more as information control for the civil would be controlled by government and only which is profitable for each country needs will be given to the civil.
Well seeing this condition i keep remembering my own country Indonesia vs Malaysia conflict and China vs Japan conflict.
I hope the war would not happen as any war in the world would surely cause many other people to suffer and peace is surely the best.

Did you not read the CNN News Article I linked?
A senior U.S. defense official said South Korea had informed North Korea prior to the training mission, and that "there's no reason North Korea should have been surprised by this firing of artillery."
Paragraph 22
Plus, if a country feels threatened, a few WARNING shots should have been made, not 200 shots directly aimed to kill and destroy.

But the SK government shouldn't have to stay away from an island they own. If your neighbor saw you in your backyard and told you "You stay away from this side of your backyard or I'll shoot your dog!" are you just going to listen? Of course not - that is your yard, the whole thing. You are within your fence, it doesn't matter how close to it you get, it is your side. Any stupid thing your neighbor does is completely his fault as he made stupid and unreasonable threats.

Your opinion might not be but your statements tell otherwise.

Even if SK already tell them before hand, If the NK did not want to care about that nothing could be resolve so it depends which sides would want to yield against the others.
Anyway i did not really believe in all news that i see or read as there are so many news that shows from only one perspective while telling that the other perspective is all BS.
Well of course you should choose to protect your own property as they were yours from the first. However as this is a country problem you can not just said "Lets have a war because they strike us first" without thinking what side effects would likely to show up if we start the war maybe our country economy will fall down and of course, can we win the war? as there is no use to start an unwindable war.
I think i have only one conclusion for this case: NK wants to have war against SK so that they could grow bigger and stronger.

I'm saying your statements are basically saying that NK are the antagonists because they are "right winged" in their politics to your western left wing ideology. Anything NK does that doesn't sit well with usual left-wing liberalism is "bad" or "evil" because OMG ITS NOT HOW WE DO THINGS!
I'm not condemning their actions as right either, but i wouldn't go as far to say it's justified to go to war against them.

There is some Internet rumors that some North Korean Generals are tired of all the crap that's going on in there country that they are planning a coup in which they will overthrow the current government and let the Chinese Government take over the country.
And according to analysts as well in which I read from Yahoo. The main reason why North Korea fired its artillery rounds is because of lack of food. With the sanctions being imposed to the country they can't get enough food, hence...well the North Koreans got into "angry bastard" mode by showing of its capability to strike.
Another quote from a BBC correspondent said "North Korea is acting like a spoiled brat that if it doesn't get what it wants, they have serious tantrum problems."

DID ANYBODY EVEN BOTHER TO OPEN AND READ THE CNN NEWS ARTICLE I GAVE?
"Reckless attacks on South Korean civilians are not tolerable, especially when South Korea is providing North Korea with humanitarian aid," Lee said, according to Yonhap.
After the incident, Yonhap said the Seoul government "banned its nationals from entering the communist state, indefinitely postponed scheduled Red Cross talks and began looking at ways to push the United Nations to condemn Pyongyang."
South Korea also suspended promised flood aid to North Korea, Yonhap reported, citing an unnamed official.

1. NK is not supposed to be careless about this matter like you said in the first bold, then that means NK is wrong. Since you can't prove that SK is wrong, your first point stating that "both SK and NK are wrong" is wrong.
2. If you don't believe in the news you see or hear, what do you believe in? What else is there to believe in?
3. NK has been provoking SK since 1950s, continuously attacking them. Plus, 2 fucking civilians have been killed because of their provocation. Even in a war, a country is not supposed to injure/kill innocent civilians.
Another point, the economy is going down already because of this attack. Check the Won currency.

Paragraph 15, 16, 17
No one knows why NK attacked SK. My best speculation is that because Kim Jong Il is dying, his son Kim Jong Un who will lead him in succession is trying to develop some sort of rapport with the country, and this is how.

Sir, you don't know about western liberalism then. Liberals are usually the last ones to call for War in the west - it is usually the conservatives that are quicker to lean towards war However, this isn't about a difference of opinion on if NK is doing something westerners like or do not like. NK killed people via military force and did so by attacking S. Koreans on S. Korean soil.
The north's excuse of "well don't run those military exercises cause they scare us" holds no weight because a nation is completely in it's rights to do military exercises within its own territory.
They are the bad guys, and yes a country can be justified in going to war when their people's lives are threatened. You are justified in defending yourself from being killed even if it means killing the person trying to kill you. That is what war is, only on a large scale.

1. As i said before Don't you think it is weird if SK is already warned by NK before that they would not stay still seeing SK training their army but SK still do it ignoring the threats. I also could think that maybe SK is also looking for chance to strike NK by using the civilians and army as sacrificial lamb for giving them reason to strike back.
2. I did not say i do not believe everything don't i? I meant we have seen the news from South Korea sides why don't we try to look the North Korea ones maybe it will be able to shed the light about what truly happen there.
3. So? because that economy has gone we should straightly let them falls to the end of earth. Nowadays countries are more concern about their economy and politics rather than their countries dignity anyway. If the economy is good their people would likely to choose them for another election however if they started war and the economy fall down would the people who suffer because of this action would likely to choose them again? And of course War would took life of the civilians as thats war nature. No one is wrong in War only the loser is the wrong sides and the winner is the righteous.
