[Locked] vegetarians are the real murderers?

Yet another stupid pissing competition.I'm a vegetarian. I don't force my ideals on others. To me, meat tastes like shit, and the smell, if strong enough, makes me gag. I have eaten meat a few times before, and I hate the texture. The killing of another animal to live isn't exactly right, but I won't tell you not to. Enjoy your steak, I don't really care.
Now listen here, idiot. This topic "vegetarians are the real murderers?" like saying "I don't understand your life choice or reasoning, so I hate it and I'm going to make you fight to rationalise it."
It's like arguing that God exists or Korn is better than Linkin Park.
My my how angry. I didn't say vegetarians are wrong did i? I said i didn't like their excuses. Yes the topic name was of poor choice but the only idiot here would be a person who posts without knowing what the argument is. Name calling is in no way a form of conversation. So please avoid flame baiting me.

Well, I was going to write another post, but your 3rd paragraph summed it up, in a more harsher and understandable way.

Preference defending.
The name calling was aimed at anyone past, present and future that would create a topic that puts others at odds. However, I withdraw that comment and stand by my first point. Not everyone pushes this stuff on you, and the ones that do are just them. Why do you eat meat? Because it's socially acceptable and you like the taste. Why don't we? Because we don't like the ethics or the taste.

blah blah blah, A "Why don't you like Meat" discussion with a "clever" title. I'm an omnivore so I'll eat anything, but if I didn't like something I wouldn't eat it. Some people like recieving anal, doesn't mean I do, so why should anyone like meat just because someone else does?

Final add: I really don't see why you keep calling people "guilty" for something that people do out of survival. It's instinct.

k_0uta is your argument really gonna be done with a German documentary? BTW they taste really good. I don't make excuses it sucks to die either way you look at it.
You have something against Vegetarians and Germans now too? Maybe we can get Eranikum to translate the video if he can stomach it, I know my mouth literally dropped when I watched it.
Tell me how you're not being the same as the person in the steak house that confronted you.
HAHAAAHa that makes me laugh in RL. I am not forcing my opinion i didn't handcuff you to a chair and force meat down your throat. anyway killing is killing no excuses and trust me i do love killing. I just don't like it if people make silly excuses.
How are you any better? Really.
"Trust me I do love Killing" Maybe you're the only murderer troll in this thread.
I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't go out of my way to swallow down a half pound hamburger to clog my arteries. I agree with the vegetarian standpoint, but as Hibia mentioned- it's socially acceptable and just the way I was raised. I was raised to eat in balance though, not to chow down on anything that made animal noises. I rarely ever eat red meats, and if I eat meat it's usually chicken or turkey.
It really does make me feel bad watching videos like that - truly. So I suppose I'm just as bad when I haven't done anything about this by choosing to be a vegetarian. Maybe in time, but as of right now - with money, it's cheaper to buy a pound of deli meat and cheese to make sandwiches then to buy fresh veggies and prepare food.
But please, EdwardRoss, do us all a favor and just choke and die on a cheeseburger. Please.

Spoiler:
Don't tell me plants would feel the same feelings as the little roosters do in this video, before they get killed. Feelings such as fear and pain.
Crap, now I feel horrible. Those poor chicks, they don't deserve to die like that. Won't stop me from eating meat at all (since that's basically 80% of my diet) but that won't stop me from protesting companies like that.
P.S: I need to use a thesaurus a lot more.

Hibia-That last comment was of an intellectual nature and much more mature than the last well said. However i do not hold an issue with anyone being a vegetarian. I have an issue with the excuses people give for killing.
PersonDude- It is said by people who have had to resort to cannibalism due to poor circumstances (trapped on an island ETC.) That Human flesh tastes great.

Oh please save me the bleeding heart BS. If the best argument you can come up with is a bunch of insults don't waste my time. This is a discussion not a game of who can cry loudest. Not to mention you have not read the argument in the least your dribble is simply annoying. Take your flaming crap somewhere else cause your simply wasting your breath.And you said that I flamed. You sir, hold double standards. You refuse to argue coherently, and will always dive for a personal attack. I suggest you leave this topic alone, as you aren't contributing in a serious manner.

[quote="EdwardRoss"] By all means, no. But, I really don't think taking a life of a concious animal or human versus taking a life of a plant without a concious is completely different and killing plants is okay in my books. It seems you also mistook my words saying I feel suporior to any life-form but no just life-forms without thought.Life is life when you take one don't mask it in ideological nobility. there is no difference when you kill. You can say because it is unconscious its ok but i imagine the pain of dying does not elude anyone. you really need to ask is it ok because its unconscious or is it ok because you can't hear it scream.
k_0uta is your argument really gonna be done with a German documentary? BTW they taste really good. I don't make excuses it sucks to die either way you look at it.
The language doesn't matter (didn't find any other video), you would even understand it without any sound. they get killed, just because they're roosters. and they feel fear, thats something plants don't do. in this case i still think you cannot compare plants with animals ... as long as you cannot prove that plants have a concious or any emotions
Buy they have a life.
Vegetarians are "just as guilty as meat-eaters" if they follow the principle of least harm. That is, if they refuse to eat meat because they don't want animals to die and want to harm as few as possible.
(And yes, that above paragraph is a bit of copypasta. Dude just describe the thing so well. I just couldn't resist.)
But yes, I do agree you can't compare plants to animals just like you can't compare a human with a mouse. We're just too different.

Is it really necessary to argue about whether someone eats plants or animals?
Seriously.
Its almost the same as arguing about sexual preference. Its your choice to be either vegetarian or omnivorous. Besides, its not like it bothers anybody if you're either. The only thing that pisses me off is the extremists who force it on to others. Its a personal decision to eat what you want. Extremist force the idea they find ideal onto somebody else then when they refuse they criticize that person's decision of his or her own decision. That's whats I find complete utter bullshit.
I lol'd
I Like my red meat. I enjoy it. Lets see....Some rare/medium rare steak with soul cream and soy sauce. Yum!
Kinda harsh arn't you?
I agree, but a lot of people(BUSINESSES) need that to earn money to feed families. Its not that we enjoy killing animals. WE NEED TO MAKE A LIVING. Lets say extremists win and all facilities such as in the video shut down. Now we have millions of americans without job. GOOD FUCKING JOB. Now you have to watch all the children now STARVING because of what your little protesting did. That is what pisses me off the most. Our society was built on top of each other and extremists are trying to take out a base block. Its never going to happen.

Overall, I think its ridiculous you guys are arguing.
They are animals, we are humans. Slightly bit evolved eh?
Even if vegetarians don't eat meat, we will.
There are vegetarians that force their views on people, Most do not.
Vegetarians have their own excuse and reasons why they do what they do. So do omnivores. That does not justify what either does and I don't think any of us has any right to tell people what is what. Videos don't help either. Its just another excuse for the "WAAAAAMBULANCE."
Yes its horrible, go adopt a fucking dog.
That is all I can say. Vegetarian or Not, animals are animals. Peopl need to understand we can't place ourselves below the food chain.
Oh when I say extremists I mean the ones like on "30 days" where a hunter spends a month with extremist vegetarians. Those guys are FUCKED UP.
Seriously.

@k_0uta
I'm really disappointed in people like you who use such violent imagery to score a political or arguing point. I'm an omnivore at the top of the food chain. I'll eat what I desire regardless if it "has a face" or not. I have the teeth to tear meat and the teeth for grinding plant matter.I can choose to eat only vegetables or I could choose to eat only meat. That is the blessing about being at the top of the food chain.
@Ziggy
Honestly, bleeding heart ideals and personal attacks are not a way to win an argument. Telling someone to choke and die completely negates any constructive point you will ever make in a argument.
@EdwardRoss
Dood, seriously bring it back a notch or two. They made a personal choice to forgo eating meat. While you and I made the choice to eat meat. The real argument should be something along the general idea of; "Is it morally justifiable for either group to look down on the others personal decisions?"
@Hibia
We are in agreement on this subject. You are also correct, an argument like this will be as productive a "Does god exist" argument. Besides this circular argument. How are you doing?
Nobody can be right or wrong when it involves personal choice and "ethics". What seems right to me won't seem right to Ramsus or Hibia. What Uzumaki101 finds acceptable may not be acceptable to The_Jesus, or Ziggy. To add onto Hibia's comment; "This is about as pointless as arguing which color is better"

I think what needed to be said has been said.
Anymore arguing really shows you have no respect for other people's ideals.

I find it kinda funny people trying to justify their actions. Animals have life, plants have life. They're both taken away just to satisfy your stomachs. I hate it when people try to force their beliefs on you like with edwardross's situation at the steakhouse.
I hear you on that one. Either way you kill to eat. Plants are living organisms as well. How can anyone say plants don't feel pain, there's really no way of knowing. Personally I enjoy eating meat. Nothing tastes better to me. Humans are naturally predatory animals. The point I'm making is, if you're a vegetarian, good for you, don't try to force your opinion on what is right on the rest of us.

Since everyone's going back to school, etc...
We discussed in my Hist class that early man ate a lot of protein to form neurotransmitters, to help develop the brain. Most of the protein came from eating meat or bone marrow. So vegetarians can go on about eating animals being wrong but it was a necessary part for Human development.
Edit:
Eating too much meat was unhealthy and early humans died way too early and had to resort to eating vegetables and meat.
I guess my post was a just side topic, but someone should never force a lifestyle on another person.

Ahh, not so good thanks. My amazing ability to not-sleep has caught up with me, and sleeping at a bad angle put my neck out. And my head followed with a horrible pain. So it's good to wake up and see someone agrees with my 2 cents.
