[Locked] vegetarians are the real murderers?

Lols, Lewis Black!
PETA arent as holy as they make themselves out to be. They "murder" animals themselves but putting them in a large freezer they have at their HQ

PETA bothers me because they value animal life over human life.
I can understand not wanting to test things like cosmetics on animals, consmetics don't save lives. But for medical testing, it can make a huge difference to have an animal trail stage and can get things to human trial so much quicker than without. PETA will say that those human lives are not worth the possible animal lives lost in the trial.
It's bullshit.
Sometimes I feel like stirring up a posse to go throw rcks at their building.

People only support PETA because it's easy to dissociate them from environuts if all you care about is not hurting animals; which is really a shame since PETA is barely under the watermark of a domestic terrorist group (or at least a tangential support group of such organisations).
It's actually even more of a shame since in their core beliefs they actually oppose not only the ownership of pets but the existence of domesticated pets. They want all domesticated breeds of dogs, cats, and whatever other sort of pet to be neutered/fixed so that they die out and no longer exist.
PETA wants all pet species of animal to be wiped out of existence.
Propaganda Bullshit
Other PETA Bullshit
They even oppose seeing eye dogs. The above article acts like people routinely use dogs to detect landmines by jumping on them or something. Aside from guard and drug dogs I can't really think of a job for dogs that doesn't just carry a risk of injury (which every job does, really) but is inherently dangerous.
I want to just rant and rant and rant but I think I'm preaching to the converted here. I really think that it would be in the interest of the public and the animal rights movement in general if PETA were abolished. Unfortunately, so many people are duped by the duplicity of their marketing teams that it would spark too much of a public outrage that someone was attempting to shut down an "animal rights" group. Ingrid Newkirk actually deserves to be murdered.

Spoiler:
I'm inclined to agree. Nobody really wants to hurt animals. No matter what you do there is always a group that will take it to the extreme.

It really does seem to be a real issue with extremities and groups such as that, but judging from my own personal experience, I'd have to say that being an omnivore is truly freeing... while I am to eat plants to save animals, I am to eat animals because it is not in my nature to eat only plants, if we weren't meant to eat meat, we wouldn't do so.
I can absolutely agree with the main vegetarian cause with saving animals by changing their diet, but WHAT PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH, is that some of them are so blinded by their belief that they are being totally hypocritical(I'm not saying that anyone's not a hypocrit, but it is how much of one you are). One time, at a party, had a vegetarian friend, I had no arguements with that, as we can be who we choose, but it annoys me to no extent to see them not adhering to what they believe that they're spewing to others. We ordered pizza, and one of the most common toppings; pepperoni. It is of course... meat, so she would not be inclined to eat it. I understand that she would not eat meat to save animals, but... later on I see her picking off the pepperoni from the pizza then tossing it in the garbage bin... it obviously ticked me off. It is of no difference than devouring it yourself in the sense of destroying it, but it is differs completely in the sense of saving/destroying animal lives. She would go on about how animals are being cruelly treated(I know that! Haven't you ever seen KFC backstage?, but she would not even give purpose to the thing that was killed for that meat(obviously can get more extreme than just some pizza topping). At such a time as being confronted with something that is dead in front of you, no time to feel sorry for it, it would be two choices, eat it or dispose of it/leave it, disposing it/leaving it wouldn't really serve much of a purpose besides possibly being a message to others, or having it return to the earth(haha, too optimistic, it'll just rot and be food for others, yay). It outraged me to see such a sight and the sudden realization of... sure, vegetarians might be saving the lives of some animals, but what is making it possible for some of those animals to live? Basic essential needs for animals is derived from; plants. We are just not protective of some plants because there is an abundance of them, but when the shortage starts affecting animals, all of a sudden we care, instead of caring about a part of the cycle, think of the entire situation, please, I'm begging, ignorance may be bliss, but it sure is damn pathetic. Open to disagreements, but it is just stemming from what I am seeing in some vegetarians, and if any of them have read this, if meat is in front of you, and noone is willing to eat it, and that you'll know it'll go to waste otherwise, I'd like to know; would you eat it?

Haha, I guess I seemed to sound like a bit of a plant-lover, huh? It wasn't on purpose at all, it was entirely inadvertent, but one thing; LOL!!!! It might have not made me very pissed, but it sure did make me laugh(in disappointment). As with the aneurysm... I better get my blood checked, again. tch :?

Aneurysms aren't detectible by blood work. I realise it was just a joke, but I like being That Guy sometimes. And if it wasn't, think of the time I've saved you.
Most of us don't even think about the food we waste, for whatever reason, filled up, didn't like it, or we are just dicks that stand on false principles and refuse to eat certain foods. But we do waste a lot of food that Johnny Hobo wishes he had. So throw it in a brown bag and give it to your local homeless person, why not? Or just feel bad about it, I guess.
I don't do either, but I'm saying if you feel guilty about wasting food.

Ok this just made me hit my head against my keyboard for a few minutes. I have no problem with vegetarians (vegans are just fucking nuts, I don't get them, I don't think being vegan is healthy at all and it's kinda against human nature if you think about it.) I have a problem with the asses who tell me, that I am a murder because I eat meat. I'm an omnivore damnit all! It's human nature!Quick note which will probably turn into a long one.
I know a vegan. My mother is a vegan. Blah blah. She doesn't impose her ideas on anyone. She thinks farming methods are cruel, that we no longer NEED to eat animals. She also thinks things like milk shouldn't be consumed as they are made for the young of other species. We shouldn't drink it, and it's against human nature in her opinion. Touchè. We can live on what we have. Of course, she could be totally wrong. And if someone asks her about why she doesn't want to eat meat/animal by products, she will say either "I don't like farming" or "medical reasons". The only reason you ever get into a tussle with a vegetarian is because they worded their statement like "I think that animals are treated horribly." because then you are challenged. Challenged to defend your right to eat meat.
Open mindedness should cum in buckets in a animated pornography forum, but it appears that it doesn't. Perhaps I can help educate you. Most vegetarians are quiet people who would rather just eat the meal and resume conversation instead of rant and rave about dead cows. We don't want to talk about it, even amongst ourselves. But most of the time, you'll be likely to run into some self-righteous bitch that rants on about murder. Take her as an extremist, an idiot, but never label us vegetarians and vegans as fools and loonies. It's just food, it's just a preference. God damnit.

I smell meat and feel slightly ill around the gills, but nothing more.

And returning to the point, I wouldn't but I feel that it's not my duty to eat that meat. I'm not going to force myself to consume something that will make me ill just to prevent it going into a rubbish dump. Besides, I'd throw up more food that doesn't belong in the sewers.

I never said anything against vegetarians. Three of my friends are, hell my friend Anil was raised one and they have never put their views on me. I have nothing against, just the people who force their views on me....I think that is what I said earlier. I don't get vegans, I just don't. Is it really that healthy? Oh tell me what is cruel about farming? Other pesticides.

You know, a vegetarian can eat nothing but junk food and still be a vegetarian. A vegetarian isn't neccessarily eating healthy.
And I personally don't really care all too much about the way animals are sluaghtered. If they have a problem with it, then maybe they should grow thumbs and higher brain functions.

The methods used to prepare and slaughter farm animals at the butchers. I heard it can be pretty cruel.A lot of times, the way they treat and kill animals is cruel, but one has to ask, "What if the animals are treated okay?"
If a vegetarian refuses to eat meat because the animals are treated like shit, what if the vegetarian was offered some meat from a friendly farm that didn't abuse the animals at all? And I know there are some, because it's a good market, "unabused animals" and whatnot.
I'm with every else about not getting veganism. Drinking milk goes against our human nature? That's why milk drinking was concocted in the last century, when we really started to get out of touch with our basic natures, right? It's not like drinking milk has been going on for about as long as animal domestication, for thousands and thousands of years. Nope, not human nature at all.
And does it really hurt the animal? If it does, then I guess we better stop shearing sheep, because that's gotta hurt like hell!

I think that is what I said earlier. I don't get vegans, I just don't. Is it really that healthy?I know protein shakes are not a perfect alternate, but my mother drinks them to assist. She has always watched her health. She was raised on meat, but went off it. Her doctor says that she's perfectly OK and she gets bloods done every so often. Some vegans have... brains, you know. They watch their waists, weight and complexion.
I think I'll opt out here, and allow you all to resume unhindered. Don't pull this post apart, thanks. I think even with a rational argument in my mind, such motions would not bear fruit in such an intemperate area. It appears that the straw man theory strikes again, as always.

Thanks for your feedback, it really sheds some light. With what you've told me, I realize that I haven't really put people who can't eat meat into consideration. I would absolutely not approve of eating something that would cause harm to the consumer, I'm only really asking if it was down to a choice of morality between one who would waste it or one who would expend some extra energy trying to eat it when you would otherwise decline it(like when you don't want to eat it... but it would be wasted otherwise, I'm not asking you to push yourself to the point of vomiting though).
As for this thread, we're bringing up other topic with our views and beliefs of vegetarians, I'm in total support of it as it expresses a lot of other perspectives that I may have yet to explore, fascinating really. Although I would have to agree with Hibia's mention of the "straw man" fallacy, as not many of us can refute with others' backgrounds and personal experience, may be incredibly rude to do so, but it would still be better than making improper accusations, I believe the answer to the question of "vegetarians are the real murderers?" has been resolved with different answers depending on one's preferences, background, and personal beliefs. I'm not saying those are the only possible factors associated with creating an answer yourself, but it seems to be just that, creating an answer yourself. My answer to the question would be: Maybe some.

I can sympathize/agree (can't find the exact word to describe it) with Hibia. I only disagree with him on the notion that vegetarians are quietly living among us and only the radicals are out there screaming that meat is murder. With the exception of him the other twenty or so vegans and vegetarians I have met all end up screaming the same rhetoric to me to the point I feel like killing a cow with no intention to eat the damn thing.
It all boils down to preference as long as both sides shut up and we keep the loud mouths quiet I believe we will all get along just nicely.
Pass the celery, I need a snack.

I love my meats.
I have high iron in my body.
I donate blood.
It keeps me healthy and strong.
I find no cons to this lifestyle.
I mean if your vegetarian thats fine. Its what you choose. In this day and time, you can live however you want to live. Its just when people try to convert you. Goddamn, its not a damn religion its a life choice.
Also, if you've seen 30 days where a hunter goes to live with a vegetarian family, You know how freaking violent some of these people are. Almost radicals.

Some vegetarian's are like political and religious extremists, they think their view is what's right no matter the circumstances. I for one dislike people like that, and people that have to preach about their beliefs annoy the fuck out of me. But in a retrospect, I do see where vegetarians come from. I'd actually rather live a lifestyle eating fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the ground, and tofu correctly marinated or seasoned is delicious. I do not think killing animals is wrong, but I do dislike modern ways to mass produce meat. Partially because a lot of these farms genetically alter their livestock with hormones. So to me it's an iffy situation, but with the way society is it's nearly impossible to live a simple life unless you live in a commune.
