Blight Town make this game more annoying than fun. Jeez, everything was going great before I stepped foot in that dump. The terrible frame rate is just the icing on the shitcake. It never really hit me that hard.
It was real bad the first 10 minutes I was there, but afterwards it was smooth sailing.

Just rang the first bell, I'm now down to that ghost town and I just can't pass dem, always gangbanging me from every wall around me. Or maybe should I head to blighttown first?

You could go either way, you just won't be able to clear ALL of new londo.
You need to have transient curses to kill them and you can get them as drops.
Its a pain unless you keep your guard up and are on point with parries.
Blighttown is annoying for the aforementioned reasons.
But if you're a theif or have them masters key, you can actually skip them majority of blighttown and get straight to them boss there, however, you'll miss out on some decent loot.

I did drop that weapon that works against the ghosts but still, their fucking long arms are driving me nuts.

Shit hits the fan once you start NG++++...
Armor and having a high soul level doesnt help that much here. The game expects you to know how to fight properly without relying on 1HKs and +15 weapons.

Well, I completely ignored poison resistance and now I'm paying the price for it. Those stupid toxic darts are driving me crazy. If I get hit more than once, I'm always done. And I really don't feel like like going up all the way to the Depths.
I take everything bad I ever said about 5-2 in Demon's Souls. Blighttown has humbled me.

Lmao, that sucks, bro.
I would say keep yourself eyes opwn and kill them before you get swamped (heh, swamped), so they don't respawn.

Sooo, I didn't go to blighttown because, yea I hate the atmosphere of this place and poison is annoying. I also gave up on ghost town. So I first went back to the starting grounds, killed everything like a boss since I was underleved then I went to the forest and everything went suprisingly well: killed the hydra and the butterfly, found the epic knight set (demons' souls armor \o/) and know I'm lvl 30. I guess I'll go check ghost town again, I should be tougher now.
I killed the guy I freed because I expected to see the same scenario than in Demon's souls. Was it a good idea?

Even with a high resistance the poison from toxic dart would get you in about 3 hits and the meter goes down so slowly your more likely to get to a fire before it's gone.
You can't get into the Depths from Blight town by the way the door has to be open from the Depths side

Yes, and no.
Killing him ensures that the fire keeper doesn't die, however if you leave him be, you can later revive her later and have an opportunity to get Lautrec's armor.

Already made it all the way to the boss. The problem was that I kept missing the second bonfire in Blighttown so I had to waste a lot of time going from the top to the bottom level every single time. Not a really fun trip. At least the dart guys don't respawn.

I prefer the awesome ring he gives you over an armor you likely will never wear. Just make sure you don't take the ring off once it's on.

So, got to blight town, the frame rates are just terrible... It definitely reminds me of world 5 in Demon's Souls.
Not being able to play with any of my friends really makes me angry as well.

Spoiler:
[color=#006FFF]And yeah, like everyone's mentioned, the frame rates in Blighttown are noticeable; it wasn't too hard to get past though, I think. To me, the boss makes it all worth it anyway.
On another note; after beating Quelaag, is it possible to do anything in the ruins thereafter? I went there, but I didn't see any path I could go down that wouldn't take me to a dead end... so I left, and now I'm outside of Sen's Fortress... Lol. So I hope there wasn't anything I just overlooked back there.
Also, I saw that hideous creature in the water area in the Firelink Shrine after the mute lady died... It seriously made my heart drop, because I was not expecting that all! I plan on dealing with him tomorrow though (assuming you fight it), as I'm done for the night.

Where does it say you'll be able to invite your friend?
Also I'd like to know where I can find the guy who can teach you weapon buff magic.

I finally managed to kill Chaos Witch Queelag. The Dragon Crest Shield makes that fight too easy. Mildred is also useless as hell. Stop walking into the lava you idiot! At least she makes a good decoy.
Now off to Sen's Fortress. Should be a lot more fun simply because it's not Blighttown.

I'm on my 5th playthrough now and the game is slowly becoming hell. I'm at sen's fortress and just "dashing through" it. The giants are still pushovers once they attack like a mad man and fall over.
For everyone who needs a good shield that can parry and have good stability; try the balder shield. It can be bought from the merchant in sen's fortress. He's across the broken bridge so you'll have to jump. He also sells Large titanite shards for 4,000SL. Also, The best Great shield is the Giant's sheild. It balances out the damage taken by MAG, Fire, and Lightning. It has 100.00% dmg reduct but its heavy so it's mainly for knight builds.
