My character is mainly a melee tank any tips on which covenant I should join? Joined the Chaos one but not so sure if it'll be of any use to me.

That sucks man. Well if you do get your consoles up and running again, I definitely recommend this game. Its addicting and challenging. Not as hard as everyone makes it out to be, its just a very unforgiving game. Oh, and nice new avatar by the way.

hmm.. just asking. does it have like free roaming or magic's or anything that makes it look like Fable........ because I love Fable.

For magic you have sorcery (which is like spirit magic), pyromancy, and miracles (sort of like white magic). It's an open world and has bonfires (checkpoints/respawn points) throughout the world. Its not really anything like fable though. Its more realistic combat, and you have stamina for everything you do. Its definetly not a hack n' slash where you can just mow down mobs of enemies. Also it autosaves after everything so if you accidentally kill an NPC your screwed.

Hentanize. it doesnt realy matter which cove u join, the coves are just there to get bonus benefits , just find one that fits you, for example pyro users will join chaos and get teh chaos fireball and chaos firestorm, and afterwards leave the cove, then join another, i joined each cove for the free items they gave but maining darkmoon because we can invade guiltyies in hallowform.

edit: so i had my first experience against a gravelord servant, and all i have to say is, GOD DAM WAS IT HARD

I was just invaded twice by a Darkmoon then by a Darkwraith. The bridge you start on in the painted world is the best place for a easy PvP match. My greatsword is at its best when it comes to narrow areas or tight spots.

GL fighting troll mages with high poise and who would acid your gear, and then burn u down,

The best thing about being a hybrid is I dont have to worry about them. Priscilla's dagger + moonlight shield can go through Poise.

Ok, at this point.. i'm sick of relying on a shield and pyro too much so, i'm planning to do a naked run.

What it is is: No shields,no armor, no magic/pyro/miracles. What i need is for people to suggest the best weapon for this kind of playthrough. Since i won't use shields..i think something 2 handed might work nicely. Any suggestions?

you can two hand anything >_>. it doesnt really matter much but pick a weapon that u feel comfortable with, i fell inlove with the laito and i been only using it, aside from messing around with dragon bone fist( SHORYUKEN ).
i think u're relying on the crystal ring shield when u mention relying on a shield.

Crystal Ring Shield? What's so good about it besides Mag resist *Crest Shield has a bit less MAG res but ALOT more stability making CRS practically useless*? Stability is so low that makes me cry.No, i'm using BK Shield +5 and can't let go of the L1 whenever i play. As for weapon, i want some good enough weapon that scales with DEX

Crystal ring sheild basically "Feeds" off your Mag, Str, and right hand weapon. I deal around 900+ per shot so it's not useless.

A Shield is not supposed to do any damage at all, which is why it's called a *Shield*. And 900 ATK is not something to brag about.

You guys are using shields the wrong way *although the choice is completely up to you*, and completely ignore my question. At this point it will be much faster to just find the best weapon myself. Never mind then.

That shield is an attacking shield. Its Supposed to be in your right hand.
I wouldn't suggest not using a shield, because thats your first lines of defense (especially if you use a rapier or a spear).

Anyways, if you feel confident in parrying, just get a parrying dagger, a rapper, a katana, or something that has a parrying animation because thats going to be the only way to mitigate damage unless you outright avoid it.

Also, use a weapon thats fast (a dagger, small sword, rapier, or katana) to not leave yourself open, then just two-hand whatever out of that is strongest. Speed is going to be your best friend, if you're going that route.

Carpa Demon and Gaping Dragon + no bonfires in between + butt naked *Halbert Right hand, Empty Left hand*= Total satisfaction and a huge load of adrenalin.

900+ dmg with a knight build... My magic stat is only 12. There's only one weapon in this game that's utterly useless and that's the chaos blade. Why don't you try putting it in your left hand and having a weapon in your right hand. Find a enemy and press L2/LT and tell me im wrong again.

Anyway, I started a new char (Thief) so i can try out a DEX build. Lv 67 and i'm loving it so far. I just have to find a dragon greatbow but the silver knights won't give me one.
