I started on nightmare mode. Mistake! I had to bring it down a few times. I went through first as a Human female noble warrior. I'm heading through a second time as a Elf male dalish rogue.LOL. Really? Nightmare? This is game is fucking hard enough as it is. Even hard is miserable. When you have to fight against mages along with warriors, it'll be come hell. There was one room with 3 Blood Mages and 8 warriors. It took me at least 8 reloads to get past it.
Yeah. Fighting the werewolves and than zathrian and the sylvyns were a bitch.
Archdemon was easy though.

That fight is...easy... Just cleanse the werewolves and they'll destroy Zathrian in half a minute.

I JUST FINISHED THIS GAME LIKE 10 MINUTES AGO
IT WAS PRETTY GOOD, BUT MASS EFFECT WAS BETTER TBH[size=1]i [/h]
ONE PART OF THE GAME THAT PISSED ME OFF WAS THE RESPAWNING ENEMY AREAS
FIRST OF ALL, IM FUCKIN HALF ASLEEP BECAUSE THE LOADING TIMES TAKE FOREVER SO I TAKE NAPS WHILE IT LOADS
AFTER IT LOADS I START FIGHTING ENEMIES WHO ARE IMMUNE TO DAMAGE
BEING DAZED AND FUCKING CONFUSED LEADS TO EASY RAGE
ALSO, WAITING FOR THE FUCKERS TO RESPAWN WAS GLITCHY AND SOMETIMES TOOK FOREVER, EVEN MORE RAGE

I just did a run on nightmare using a rogue (not the best idea, wet paper would last longer in battle than a rogue on nightmare), and I gotta say it was a blast. Boss battle took forever, went through at least a hundred potent health potions. The only problem I find is the party damage. I picked rogue rather than mage because I knew as a mage everyone would die. Bad guys, my party, that stupid dog, all of them. Hard, but fun.

The tower Ogre fight was truly a nightmare. I got destroyed. I already lost quite a few health potions just getting up there, so I failed hard when I got to the boss.

Now its time to complain little about the bugs in the game :-)
Im starting:
1.When I talk to Shale in Orzammar, the screen turn black and only dialogue options is to wake up the golem or leave it be and after i select 1 option the same quest as the first time appears...
2.When I decided to help the cultist of Andraste in destroying the urn.Namely when I talk to their leader outside after crossing him there should be a cut-scene where dragon is blocking my way and Kolgrim calms the beast and claims that Im on their side, but the cut-scene displayed when I was heading back from ruins after completing the quest.
3.When I headed to Wade Armor shop in Denerim and asking about dragon scale armor FOR THE FIRST TIME!, Harren and Wade acts like if I talked to them about it before but I didnt...

Since it seems like you guys all beat the game already, *SPOILERS* (just in case), can I see what your takes were on the ending?
Of the numerous intros to the game, there's only two endings I know of.
1. Die. Self sacrifice bullshit (might be well done, I don't know haven't done it, and thanks to Persona 3 I have no intention of trying it)
2. You have *SPOILERS* demi-god baby with Morrigan and she pisses off somewhere to the mountains *SPOILERS*.
- Though I like the latter ending (sort of), I only see it being appropriate if you have a relationship with Morrigan, otherwise it comes out of left field and doesn't really have the same impact as it should. For me, the only ending I see as well done as most of the game's intros is this one combined with the relationship.
P.S. I'd also like to have it noted that for the Elf Alienage origin: *SPOILERS* WTF? Not even in (recent) Shin Megami Tensei titles does a woman get raped! I know it's all in the dialogue, but that just shook me a bit. I mean...fuckin' a Bioware...damn.

So, I had an interesting first playthrough,
Played as a dwarf warrior, Commander origin on Hard.
So yeah, I basically went through the game without knowing that Wynne was a recruitable character and *SPOILER* ended up killing her without any sense of regret whatsoever*
And because I wanted a mage for crowd control I left Morrigan as a enthrapy/AoE mage.
Now my question for you guys is, did any of you play on hard without a healer?
Cause I did and Ive never been so mad at a Tank not being able to keep aggro ever before.

I don't believe that she ever gets raped. She was probably just attacked. I'm not sure though, cause when you first meet King Cailin, you have the option of saying "I killed the son of the arl of Denerim for raping my friend." But most of the time, it just seems like she was brutalized.

I've never played any walkthrough without a healer. I always made Morrigan a healer. But the one I'm playing right now, I used a mod that allows me to redistribute any points the way I see fit, so I made Morrigan my arcane warrior/healer tank.

I've never encountered any of those bugs. The only one I encountered so far is not finding the Ancient Elven Boots in the chantry at Lothering.

Back to the bugs, I have encountered yesterday on something like this in Denerim:

I think it is not a coincidence, and it is probably another bug, what do you think?

Are you being attacked by a platoon of felines? ...have you been stomping the animals again? I told you that they would one day get you back.

Anyone messing around with the toolset? I'm going to try some random shit later and see how it turns out.

I have installed the 2 patch, but there are still bugs as you can see, after my first round with DAO I havent encountered so many bugs as right now...

Just got this game yesterday. I'm assuming I'll quickly adapt to the combat, but right now I find it to be so slow and clunky. I guess I'm too used to fast past action-JRPG combat rather than the slower and methodical MMORPG-esque style.

The combat felt like it was moving at slower than a snails pace. But you'll get used to it. It gets fun when you start getting to the huge battles against like an army.
