But Mahoyo still has 2 more VN sequels to go before its completed so its going to be like 2025 before an anime adaptation comes out.

Yeah I'm aware but that doesn't mean they cant milk it for money as 3 different seasons of an anime in between each and even if they wait I'll still watch it in the 2020's since its supposed to be a ten year project.

Here's something different: Why does everyone refer to Saber Alter as a different Saber? I mean, it's just Arturia but altered by evil, right? That's like saying Green Ranger and White Ranger are different people. It's just incorrect.

People tend to treat Saber Alter and Saber Lily as completely separate characters which is wrong they are all Arturia variants.

I wonder if Gil will be as OP in extra as he was on that battle on Fate/Zero with Alexander. Wont it be nice to make Gil have spammable NP like lancer?

I think that he'll be "hindered" like the other servants, only instead of just being weakened, all those NPs he uses will be his regular attacks. Like, for one attack combo he'll pull out a sword, then a halberd, and then dual-something. For guarding he'll use different types of shields in succession, etc.

I don't know. That's how I see it happening. It'd be visually entertaining to say the least.

I actually heard about this when I first read an early article on Siliconera. To be honest I absolutely dig Naoto's adult style in the promotional artwork for the light novel, but the fact that she's supposed to look like that after only six months post-P4 events really strikes me as ridiculous. It should've taken place at least four or five years later. She looks like she's in her mid 20's!
A very delicious mid 20's, mind you, but still...

I do like that someone's giving Naoto more spotlight, though, and not just as a big Naoto fan but also because she struck me as one of the most complex characters in any Persona game to date and she has a lot of potential for side-stories.
Unrelated Note: Aside from Nanako, Naoto is the only character in Persona 4 that asks to hear more about the protagonist's personal life. Interesting, huh? I just realized this after a recent re-playthrough of the game.

All that being said, after a brief reading of the story's synopsis, I have to say that it's uncomfortably close to a well written fan fiction I read a while back called "Fate or Fortune", which had a lot of similar themes and took a unique perspective on how summoning personas worked with P4. The author was nice and had a friend on DeviantArt who was helping to make the story (which was surprisingly well done) into a comic.
-Give it a look sometime if you're interested in a Naoto story involving a mystery, drama, and the protagonist! As someone who has a rule to never read much fan fiction, I found it to be an exception for me.

As for the light novel, I just can't imagine how the author will manage to explain Naoto's DRASTIC change in such a short amount of time, but I'll keep a look out.

Oh hell yes, then. Rin/Lancer all the way. I was actually kind of disappointed we couldn't get more interaction between those two in the game since they seemed to fit really well.

I guess after that pair I'd choose Dan/Archer.

As much as I love all things Fate Stay Night, this game won't have any more success making me buy a PSP than the Ocarina of Time remake had in trying to make me want a 3DS. The game looks like an interesting concept, though.

What exactly was Dan's Archer' Np effect? his poisons become more potent every stack of his NP?

The poison gets a major boost in poison damage only in one condition: if you're poisoned.

Well you have to remember you are going to need to level and perform attunement of the soul to get Gilgamesh anywhere near his power in the anime so he probably won't be all that great in the beginning.

And as to the vs I would still dominate all with my beloved Nero. But if I had to pick another servant from extra I would go with Arcueid and her retarded master.

Probably old news but I saw the first volume of Fate/Extra the manga on sale at a nearby Japanese bookstore.

Actually I didn't know there was a manga but looked into it and there are 2 volumes out apparently I tend not to look for info on untranslated manga.

As for an anime adaptation I didn't see anything on one yet.

No, I think tooge meant they were hoping for one next, since a lot of other Nasu works that were popular manga/novels became animes eventually.

I don't know, personally. I was never the type to like an anime adaptation of a game or novel I read first, especially in regards to RPGs where half of your experience is through role play.
For instance, tooge3: Saber's Praetor and I both massively enjoy Saber Extra Red's character, from her backstory to her personality. However, due to the game giving you multiple choices, you get to approach her character from different angles, which resulted in my view of Saber Extra Red being slightly different than her Praetor's. It's what's so lovely about JRPGs like this one, ones that focus so deeply on involving the player's perspective with the game's inherent tone and themes.
_In an anime we'd only be able to approach Saber Extra Delicious from one angle, the angle the anime's script writers want for us. You can't have the same interaction with an anime that you do for a game. It worked amazingly well for a VN like Higurashi (a favorite of mine), but I don't think it'd work well here.

If it does get an anime, I might give it a watch for an episode or two, but I can't be as excited for it as, say, Fate/EXTRA CCC. If they manage to bring all of the nuances of EXTRA's story to the anime then I could give it more of a watch, but again, half of the experience would be lost without the ability to be a part of the story. I never even watched the Persona 4 anime for that reason (though they did a very good job with adapting the source material to a new light).

Yeah I knew what tooge meant I was jusst affirming that I have no news on that front.

I personally like seeing all the forms of media done simply because you can see different perspectives and and at least for me its easy to mesh them as a whole and create an even more grand concept.....Tsukihime being the exception since "There is no Tsukihime anime."

Personally I would be more worried about the artwork and VA's being consistent.

I've been seeing that kind of fan pairing a lot lately, especially on the tumblr (they have a tumbler dedicated to fan reactions (art, comments, etc.) for Fate/EXTRA). Honestly, I'm supremely less than thrilled about the idea, since I can't imagine anyone who knows Saber actually endorsing such a "pairing" with...him.

Maybe if he was that version of Gilgamesh you told us about from that off-shoot that later was declared canon (where he got turned into his younger self, and by the end he wasn't a cruel villain but just a friendly dick, or something like that). Otherwise I doubt the two could stand to be in the same room as one another. It feels like people like seeing them side-by-side because of their (not really at all) similar history on their thrones.

Well I am no fan of Gilgamesh nor the pairing but I liked the artwork on Nero in the image so I used it I will probably change it by the end of today though (just did).

But this raises a question who do you think would win in a battle of Nero vs Gil?

I obviously support Nero but if I were to think about it logically she is at a disadvantage in a ranged fight since she has no ranged attacks.
