Quick question. I don't want to read the thread in case of spoilers.
When I get to Gran Pulse in chapter 11, after I leave the large area with the Cie'th stones, can I come back later? I don't want to leave yet if I can't come back. I want to finish all the Cie'th stones.

At Ch 12 or 13 you can return to Gran Pulse, a portal opens up for you take back to Gran Pulse if you feel like grinding or finishing any Cieth mission stones you can handle. You will notice the portal once you enter the final area of the game and two portals open up: one leading back to Eden, and the other leading to Gran Pulse.

Spoiler:
Stupid review from a stupid reviewer.
Only played 5 hours? That's like, barely Chapter 4, the game's so easy at that point. It picks up at Chapter 7...

Thank you very much. Now I can finish this chapter. Also should be noted is that some bosses can only be defeated without an outright arse-over-elbow result after defeating the last boss in the game, opening up the tier 10 crystallium grid, making life a little easier. (After the last boss you have the option of saving and can reload this save file after the credit roll, it loads the area right before the last boss)

Thank you very much. This is also helpful information.

I just love Yahtzee's reviews. The skullfuck leaves a memorable impression XD
I agree with him on not understanding why everyone thinks that the whole "after 20 hours the story gets good" is a valid reason for playing it =/. Also agree FF3/6 is the best one out there. He is biased for hating on JRPGs (and admits to it) but he still brings up a lot of good points against it.

I assume everyone got the email about getting some goodies for bronze and up medals over at the square enix members site? If not, go register your game.

Played 15 hours so far. Damn, lightning is a hottie. She's a cunt, but what a hottie.
Best CG movie I've ever played. Seriously, the cut-scenes are great.

Lightning's great. <.<;;
Vanille's better. Once she actualy matures. :|
My friend tried to compare it with the CG movies in Fable 2, that might be the only thing that comes close...

Game beat at 35 Hours... and sad to say not impressed with most of it outside the visual effects/BGM. Will probably continue playing to complete sidequests/missions/trophies just for the sake of completion. One thing they should definitely have done was dual audio! =D

Posting in the correct place =/
So I just got onto disk 2 with hope leading the party, and I can't help feeling that so far the game has me on a really short leash. Please tell me that changes?
I only have 10 hours game-play and I'm on disk 2, that seems a little short.

Thanks, I was starting to lose momentum and hope with the game.I rest reassured.
If you're talking about the Corridors for each level and the lack of exploration let me save you the trouble. That's the whole game, the only thing that really changes late game is your ability to change your party and a "FEW" small exploration options, most of the side quests are also completely random and a waste of time so i didn't do any of them since they weren't interesting in the least.
All that aside, game is still good if you don't mind the lack of open world exploration and side quests, the characters grow on ya.
