Hey now, GW1 was the single best mmo experience I've had yet.

Seriously? No offense, but you can't have played many good mmo's =P No, jk, but I couldn't stand it at least. Maybe in GW2 they've made it playable, cuz at least it looks better in the videos. Then again, it looks like a ripoff of Dragon Age.

anyways, can't wait to see if they put mesmers back. hope they do, fav class, they rock, altough i mainly play warrior for convenience. also, disapointed dwarfs and centaurs aren't playable races, wondering if they'll do that in expansions or something

for the people who intend to play, what race? i'm still torn between... well mostly all of them, because they are all so awesome in their own way

I said that it looks like a ripoff from Dragon Age, cuz it DOES look like it. Look at the graphics of the monsters, characters and environment and compare them, and if you can't see it, your either blind or an idiot. Mind you that I'm not defending Dragon Age or anything, since I dun like it very much. But a total copy is a copy, even if you disguise it as a MMO.

And it was not playable cuz it is boring like as shit and has nothing new or interesting to it.

You just described the core mechanic behind all MMO's after reaching level cap ,and getting some rare equip..least that's my opinion

I just don't see the similarities in the art. Are you talking about the animated cutscenes/concept art or the actual ingame models and terrain?




@pav: Most likely not human or charr. So...the Sylvari, Norn, or Asura. Leaning towards Asura since Felicia Day has a voice role on that side. Hard to pick really...

Holy crap. It's been almost 3 years since I've brought up this thread and even til now GW2 hasn't been released yet! I didn't completely forget about the game though, I was sad when I found out last year that they were pushing it back again.
During that whole time I did manage to play Guild Wars Factions and a little bit of Eye Of The North.
I was hooked on Factions as it was more simplistic than the other expansions although I can't really give my entire word on Prophecies & Nightfall.

When GW2 sees the light of day I will definitely make it an addition to my collection of MMO games since ArenaNet has proven to make nothing, but quality games.

yep. Pre-ordered yesturday <3 CE edition,because usually getting the normal edition make you 3-5 days behind everyone.

necromancer class vid was released as well as a small Q&A about the class skills.

My mind has changed; since there is no monthly cost, this might be a good way to waste time until SWTOR.

I heard the release date was nov '10, does anyone know if that has changed?
