I played a little of it today. So far I kind of suck but the game is really great so far. I'll start the story mode tomorrow.

I mash DPs in this game. Lol. I only know three combos.
2AAA> Coup Droit
5AAAAAAA
And some weird kind of useful combo that I learned in training mode. 5DD> B> 2B> 2DD> 4B> 2B> j.A> j.C> j.A> j.C> B+D
I can do the challenge mode combos, but in game, I don't remember any of them, and I'm just bad at memorizing combos. Hahaha... Well, I just need to play this game more.

It depends on the character. Some have more specials than the others, but the game is deep enough with enough button combinations. You don't need tons of moves if you already have something that can handle any situation.
I'm using Mitsuru because she ended up being the best for me. Kind of rare that the first character I pick I feel the most comfortable with.
I really love this game so far. I'm still pretty bad at it, and I panic with my combos, but I'll get better at it if I keep at it, just as I did with Marvel 3.
Well I'm talking like I watched and played against this one player who used chie and did nothing but her combo move Square,square,square,square etc (if ur on ps3) and they won against 5 other people including me. plus another player i saw used Elizabeth and did nothing but jetted around in the air and doing that move where she summons Thanatos for some super kamehemeha wave thing.

Either I suck really bad at this game or Yukiko isn't the most beginner friendly char, spent 40 mins going through the lesson mode and some of her trials, and still feel really awkward in this game.

Hmm... yeah from my limited experience with the game, it feels like she's one of those keep away characters. The dhalsim of P4A perhaps? lol
Spent 20 mins stuck on her trial #23, finally got through it... How applicable are the trial combos in actual matches?

some are more for swag value, but for yukiko that is a combo that get you out the corner and you foes in the corner, so some have their uses if you modify them a bit, some are just weird and kinda stupid

Today I beat Yu's cliffhanger, Do sense a set up for another game possibly? or just one of those things where you gotta beat other characters story to get the next arc?

^Same, not sure how it works but wouldn't be surprised if it was for DLCs or even stand alone titles. Most of the fighting game publishers, including ACW, loves to milk their titles that way.

I would but my internet is ass, I mostly just grind it out in the lab, though I'm around people who have the game so at least I can play humans every now and again
