But I'll probably buy the game, although I hate when people say its a SSBB rip-off.

It is weird and it seems like they don't want ps all stars to look or feel similar to SB, which I think it should if they want to attract more people to become interested in their game.

I had just played this at Comic-Con and it was pretty fun though they didn't have Jak&Daxter or Cole McGrath on the build despite them announcing them there.

At first it does seem a bit weird to only have supers as killing moves but that encourages people to have to get in and fight. Turtling doesn't get anywhere because you have to actually do combos to build meter for supers. I first played with Heihachi and went to build for his level 3 and it was pretty pointless compared to doing a level 1. Level 3 only guarantees the kills but a level 1 is faster to build and relatively easy to hit people with since it seems unblockable. Toro was pretty fun; his level one is pretty fast. I don't know how this game will be competitive though; wait and see I guess.

Since it is an obvious ripoff, I sort of want them to create a Smash-Dojo-esque site that reveals new characters and give information about moves.

I have to disagree seeing as tho a lot of people wont even consider picking this game up because it looks like ssb.

People already think this is a SB rip off which already might prevent some people from buying the game. I think they should still build on what made SB awesome and fun to turn it into something that is different that will still separate them from SB. Look at Uncharted and how some people claim it is a Tomb Raider rip off or some people claim The Last of Us is a rip off of I am alive.

RPGs and fighters have alot of room to make differences in the case of a RPG its a LOT you can do to it to make it different experience from a Final Fantasy game, with a fighter its a little bit harder to change but still possible,you have room with story and characters to make subtle changes to make yours stand out, and alot of different companies put out alot of different fighters so Street fighter always had competition on the market it just happened to be the most popular, Smash bro. on the other hand (save a few B titles) have had almost no comp. in the party fighter department so when this game drops you cant really blame people for automatically thinking "ok this is a Smash Bro. rip off.

Ehh... Seeing to the fact that I don't own PS3 might effect my response to this a bit but, for half of that video I wasn't sure if I was watching someone play a Smash Bros. game, or "PS all star battle." Imo; This is an attempt at recreating (or ctrl+C ctrl+V-ing) Smash Bros. in an attempt to convert Nintendo's fans over to PS. Just an opinion.

I can't wait for the game. I love the super system of killing because it prevents kill stealing. You have to earn your super and have the skill to kill with it. It'll probably work well.

I have a PS3, but I don't really see the point in getting this game when I could just play Smash Bros. instead (any iteration of it). Yeah, you can play as different characters, but it just looks like a worse game. I mean, if you look at it, Smash Bros. offers a lot. Minigames, items, trophies, different multiplayer and one player modes, custom stages, even a co-op adventure thing in Brawl. If this PS clone has more to offer I will be thoroughly impressed and surprised.

The only thing that I can think of would be online multiplayer that doesn't rely on terrible peer2peer connections.

I like the idea od this game, I just hope it's not overshadowed by smash brothers, cause IMO the only reason why, and this maybe true for me, people would buy this is for certain characters, I agree with uzumaki101, I would buy this just to show people how to make a seafood cake, or to get romantic, or to (insert parappa pun here) people into submission
