Okay to be fair, those plamids are free to download and Bioshock doesn't run nearly as well on the PS3 as it does on the 360. I'd seriously hesitate to mention that one when it comes to upgraded multi-platform titles.Alright, so you have me there. But ignoring that example(bad example, I'll admit), the PS3 generally gets upgraded ports.

Well leave any game that has come out for the PC out of the discussion in the first place (BioShock, Bethesda Games[though i'm unaware whether they have been brought up])because they grow inexorably.
For instance, with a team of 3 programmers has modded Rainbow Six: Raven Shield to the point where its graphics match Vegas, it has more guns than any other shooter, and includes all the maps from every Rainbow Six game. This is all for the price of one old-ass game.
But my PC-fanboyism aside, I would say that I prefer Xbox because of the party and Netflix systems on LIVE. I mainly write now and have ditched games, so I like to chat with my friends while I'm doing so.

Oh yeah, because it is so common for games nowadays to be more simplistic than their previous generation counterparts. Why didn't I think of that? They don't need to become more simple. They just need to scale appropriately for their available technology. A disk that stores a TB of data for a video game is meaningless unless the drive can read it fast enough.

Do you actually think there are 100 million people in this world with a DS? I don't think so.Oh dear! We agree on something! But that doesn't matter because it's used as a reference for how well a gaming system is doing.

There are people who sell it for better versions, people who buy a new one because a previous one became faulty, or people who just want to have more than one version.Your last two points are irrelevant and can be applied to pretty much every gen.

It seems to me that you're only attempting to bash at the PS3. I'm not "Trying to Bash" the PS3, I'm trying to state that for multiple reasons that are my opinion, The 360 is the best system to buy.

Could you provide more then a mere comment? Since i own both 360 versions of the games and both have a good amount of DLC.. So if i'm missing an extra dungeon or 1 extra costume its not really that big a gap between the games 360 and PS3 versions..

ps3 version added somethings to the story with some added cutscenes to tie up some loose ends in eternal sonatas story , in ToV there a whole new character and a few new areas to explore not just 1 dungeon

In the case of ES, just small additions, I believe(minor extensions). Crescendo and Serenade is playable characters, for fucks sake.
In the case of ToV, they had to add a whole new character's story, and they are also adding tie-ins to the Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike movie releasing sometime later this year.

The PlayStation 3 port of Tales of Vesperia includes numerous extras and changes, such as a brand new character, Patty Fleur, the addition of new bosses like the Sword Dancer, Flynn being playable for more that just one battle, among other changes. The game will also be fully voiced and will include new and altered scenes, such as Yuri fighting Don Whitehorse when the party visits Keiv Moc.Each game will have a product code that can be used to download special costumes for Yuri, Estelle, and Flynn. The costumes will be Asch, Tear, and Luke's costumes, respectfully. Rumors are going around that more DLC could be on the way later this year.
Honestly, they added a character.. and yes i wouldnt mind to have the costumes.. but I'm sure that the DLC is not "exclusive".. at least I hope not hehe ^^'

Unless you didn't even read my post and simply assumed that the DLC was availible for the 360 market, I believe that qualifies as a lie.
I beginning to think that you don't own a PS3.

PS3 has many awesome games on it. I am starting to enjoy what they are doing, reminds me of early PS2 days... PS3 is releasing nothing but gold I have to say.
But on the contrary, Xbox spits out more games.... not all are gold but there is an equal amount of gold on the 360 as the PS3 plus those other games... some find entertaining.
I hate the Wii. Mine was stolen from my house... The only game I was able to enjoy on the wii is Mario Kart (duh that game was always fun, ever since snes days) Smash Bro's (another no brainer, this game holds nintendo together like glue) and suprisingly, there is a game called Red Steel and it was freaking amazing. The multiplayer blows but the normal play was very fun, I enjoyed playing through it allot and it actualy provided some Chalange to me. Unlike say.... all of Wii's other games <<. Did I mention the wii's online blows? Don't believe me? Play a quick match of smash bro's online. I might be the best in my area but any noob can wipe me out on online play.
PC gaming is over rated, If you like RTS and MMO's play on the PC. I don't care about other players so its like... just not my place to play.
The 360 gets my vote, PS3 is equally good though.

The PS3 is now profitable to Sony. Sony knew fully well that the PS3 was not going to be an inexpensive machine to manufacture but they stuck with the choices that they made because they believed in the long run it would out last it's competition.
Well the PS3's production costs have been slashed 70%. It now only costs $240 per unit to make a PS3 for Sony. That is very good news indeed. That doesn't necessarily mean that they will begin slashing a $100 off the price but it now has a much better chance of happening before the x-mas days.

I for one am glad of this news. It's no secret that I am a PS3 fanboy and I applaud Sony for sticking with the PS3 through the substantial losses they have encountered both with production costs and the economy being so bad as of late.

It will still take them quite a while to make up that deficit. It may have been their intention, and they may have thought it was a good decision at the beginning of this generation, but no matter how someone spins the thread Sony made a huge gamble, and from my standpoint the lost this time. I imagine it will be well into the next generation before Sony makes up their loses on the PS3. I won't blame them for taking a huge gamble because it was something they had to do when they knew they would have equal competition from Microsoft, but you win some and you lose some, and I think the lost this one.
It doesn't really matter though. Sony will just come back again the next generation with a better plan, but I don't believe they will ever again have the dominance in the video game market that they had before, but as far as I'm concerned that is a good thing. Its not good for one company to sit way on the top. I doubt Nintendo will again next generation if they don't come up with something big, and Microsoft will continue to keep Sony in check and vice-versa.

I agree with Tsurayu, they have so much ground to make up for their losses. It may cost $240 to make a playstation now, but they were costing $800 to make originally. That means they loss at least $200 with each sale. That is only manufactoring cost to. Distribution, marketing, and customer support make the loss hurt even more. It may be profitable now, but so what? in the big picture it just means they'll wind up only somewhat above even.

I think the PS3 is going to gain ground fast in the coming holidays and into 2010. Some of the biggest titles since the PS3 ever came out are finally coming. GOW3, GT5 and Final Fantasy 13 all of which will move units in a big way. This is even more so in Japan where the PS3 is still out selling the 360 3/1. The Final fantasy DEMO alone moved PS3 units. So the actual game is going to ignite the sells even more. Not to mention all of the GOW and GT fans out there that are waiting to get their hands on those two exclusive titles. With the PS3 finally profitable as the production costs of it's parts have gone down this is good news for Sony indeed and if they introduce the PS3 slim along with a price drop that thing will sell plenty in no time flat.
