What VN are you playing? What do you think about it?

I actually haven't finished it yet because of a test and a rushed proposal lol, once I finish today's test then I'll go back to reading.

Just finished Clannad with 100% completion rate. I've gotta say for an oldie, this is clearly a goodie. A must read for anyone with time to kill.To be honest though, the true ending of this felt a bit shallow to me. Even the main ending was really nice, everything before--
Spoiler:
The reason I didn't like the epilogue of after story was because, there was no follow up on the female roles. Maybe I'm just over-analyzing, because all the female roles even without becoming Tomoya's love interest overcome their problems(Well, all of them except for Kyou..)
MASSIVE MASSIVE SPOILERS, DO NOT READ IF YOU DIDN'T GET 100%.
Spoiler:
Maybe I'm just expecting too much of an epilogue. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice happy ending, but it just leaves me saying, what happens from here? Still a fantastic VN. Wish I had more to read.
this is seriously the vn that made me cry the most. Specially when

Harry the Potato!
Okay, finally finished Umineko! My review is probably going to be short though; couldn't think of much to say.
First, as you progress slowly from Episode 1 to 8, you'll start to get less and less interested in the mysteries, because they are totally not the main point. Even though the author has set it up to look like one. In that sense, everyone got pranked REAL hard, and screw that second last puzzle in Episode 8, I just searched for the answer and couldn't be bothered to solve it.
Next, the Trick ending was unfortunately pretty badly done. Very horribly done. They should've made a proper scene after that choice so it could properly lead-up-to-that-kind-of-Ange, but they didn't. It read like an elephant with a tiger's head so I was kind of disappointed. Also, the choice probably should not have been set there but much earlier, because everything up to that point was built up for the Magic ending. Which means the VN probably could've been executed better.
Straight to Witch Bern. Holy shit the girl's a total sadist. I'm not sure how many times I've thought to myself, "WHERE IS MY M-"... Oh wait that was close, almost spoiled that stuff. Her true identity must be kept a secret! xD But seriously, the Witch of Miracles is a total fraud; the Witch of Coincidence is probably a better title. The reason is quite simple: In Higurashi and Umineko at least, a miracle is by definition an occurance that happened even though there is absolutely no chance for it to happen. You can only call it a miracle because that 'thing' was not suppose to exist. Therefore only when an event that has 0 probability of happening, happened, then you can call it a miracle. What Bern did - searching for that 1 Fragment over an infinity amount of fragments - is in the end searching for that single probability of possibility. That ain't no miracle.
Also, anyone who has read Higurashi should know this very well. You don't obtain a miracle by praying that everything just happen to go the way you want, which means that Bern's action of finding that one Fragment where everything somehow lines up perfectly was absolutely flawed from the start. To get a miracle you must DO your best to achieve your dreams, and if you can't do it alone don't forget about those who care about you and willing to lend a hand. You throw everything you have into that single Fragment, and even if it ultimately results in failure there would be no regrets.
This probably means that Bern herself is an alternate possibility of 'that girl', where she continued to wait and search for that 'coincidence' and 'luck' where everything goes in her way for god knows how long, and by some chance she finally did find that fragment, but her mind was utterly broken and twisted by that point. I know there's another explanation (or was it a deduction?) at the wiki, but to me this sounds more reasonable than the, what, crystalization of the worst traits of 'that girl'? Her true personality? Totally different things in my opinion.
And the true end, the ??? part. Kinda didn't make sense at the back there if you get what I mean, but, huh. Happy I guess?
I'm looking forward for the CGs and character sprites for Umineko 5-8. Must be pretty cool looking! xD
Guess this did turn out long after all. I'm such a long-winded typer. >_>

Only the endings, there's no knife in between the stories.

I finally got around to playing Katawa Shoujo last night. It's the first VN that I've played in years. I'm only an hour in. The game seems pretty promising.

Started playing Hoshimemo~ and you know that feeling where youre so pissed off a chinami and want to skip her scenes, but then you realized that she's just too CUTE.... :(

I jus finished Hoshimemo, and I just started Dengeki Stryker, and as for Chinami I just couldn't find her to be cute at all, her story was good but she still annoyed me

[color=red]Well the size is about 8.8 GB. Quite killer one for my HDD T_T (thankfully there's a MF link at Craneanime. yeahhh)
Also I want to know about your opinion on Fault S later. Since it's on my next download list.
It can't be helped, the June eroge wave has come. lol I can't decide what eroge to download next.
edit : Looks like the Siglus Engine on Hatsukoi 1/1 is hard to bypass :/
Many people can't play the game, No Region Loader doesn't work too.
Sigh this is why I hate Visual Art company. Looks like I have to pause my download on this game.

Well, Ryukishi07 also seemed to make of great importance other elements and I guess that that was one of the main reasons for that choice to be just at the end of the story. Basically, Ryukishi07 was asking: Can you see it? (Reference to "without love it cannot be seen" if you didn't catch lol).
About the trick ending, to be honest, I kind of forgot about it but I remember that

Well, it's kind of happy but not really satisfying imo. However, I currently don't see how Ryukishi07 would finish the story given how he already told all the events. That was and is basically the reason why so many fans don't like chiru. It didn't develop as they expected.
Nevertheless, I'm sure you agree with me that Umineko is a great game and some scenes are simply unforgettable.
And yeah, Umineko looks amazing with the PS3 tweaks. Also, I love that text box in Chiru and the additional sprites. Did you already see some screens? When the tweaks are out the game deserves a replay =P

And about what I'm playing I'm currently with Dengeki Strykers.
I was reading Shikkoku no Sharnoth -What a Beautiful Tomorrow- and enjoying it quite a bit but the gameplay kind of puts me off so I'll take some time to finish it.
Going back to Dengeki Strykers, I'm currently in the Heaven Saga. The zero saga unfortunately and as expected given some comments that I already read wasn't that great. Seriously, the game rushes events. I wanted some more depth to the characters so that for example (spoilers for the end of zero saga)
Spoiler:
Ahem, blame my moege and drama needs =P
The heaven saga is being a bit more enjoying so far. Let's see how it goes.

It was seriously kinda annoying at first, then I grew to like after the first 10 times she says it. XD The way she refers to herself in a third person perspective adds to the kawaii factor XD

Some of the scenes could definitely use a replay, and hell YES that punch was awesome. ^_^
One more thing, did you realize that Beatrice's entire existence did not make sense? Especially the part where she was a:
And then there's Maria and her mother's relationship:
Higurashi was probably more well done than Umineko in my opinion, except for its final episode which was cheesy as hell. That Asakura scene was EMBARASSING, I tell you, EMBRASSING; I thought I was reading a scene from power rangers or something lol.
Impressive read overall though.
