Xbox one will be region locked.Well, the 360 isn't "full" region free either, but this just means more advantages for the PS4.

The Xbox One will be region locked yes, but I'll just assume that's part of why they've made their Xbox Live migration thingy easier. Most likely the same rules that apply for the 360 will apply for the One. It's region locked, but you can migrate your Live account, once every 3 months.
Sony hasn't commented yet, but since they've dropped the "region-free" part for the PS3 and leaves the decision up to the publishers the same will probably go for the Ps4. Just like they most likely will allow developers to create games that require a constant internet-connection.
That the console doesn't require an internet connection to play games != that games doesn't require an internet connection to be played.

Honestly, I am looking forward to the Xbox one. Even thought they have disappointed us in the last reveal,I am pretty sure that they will fix something up or at least they are still hiding something that they did not reveal yet.
After all this is the internet. At first everyone rejects, after that everyone becomes upset, and then everyone tolerates.

Every time I see "Xbox one", my mind turns it into "xbone" for some reason. Which I find mildly humorous but its probably not in the way Microsoft want me to think about their product. I take it you read The Escapist?

I had no idea this site even existed until I saw your post.

It's Official: Xbox One Game Rentals Not Possible, Fees Nixed, 24 Hour Check-In Confirmed. That title isn't entirely accurate. William Usher is very passionate and sometimes he goes overboard with the shit he says. Game rentals are not "impossible." This is not officially confirmed. However, the rest of the dickery is accurate (he uses xbox.com as a source):
No fee (see next two quotes), but you can only sell to "participating" retailers. Gamestop will be all over this shit. Your local small business game store is pretty much fucked and will focus on distributing any other console's games.
This implies that you will be charged unless you follow the strict requirements.
Microsoft will be the middleman for the publishers who will decide how big the dick they fuck you with will be.
-blah blah
-While a persistent connection is not required, Xbox One is designed to verify if system, application or game updates are needed and to see if you have acquired new games, or resold, traded in, or given your game to a friend.
With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection. . . .
For the best unparalleled premium quality optimal positive experience, tell your master you've been good every 24 hours and in his infinite generosity he will allow you access to the games you've paid for.

Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games. No fee (see next two quotes), but you can only sell to "participating" retailers. I like how you worded this. The whole idea of having to check in every 24 hours is ridiculous.

so if my internet shuts off for whatever reason for more than a day i cant play the games i own, THATS HORSE SHIIT. i dont care what games they are having at E3, they could be the best games in the world and i would still not buy the xbox one because of their stupid 24 hours DMR check.

I guess this is a relevant picture.

So the new xbox spies on owners so what it doesn't care if you murder someone in front of it but if you download the new iron man 3 movie, it would most likely forward your personal details to MPAA along with what you pirated so that they can bring a multi million dollar lawsuit against your 12 year old child...... I think I might buy my very first playstation in the coming months.

Reactions on the check-in once every 24 hours thing are exaggerating. Nowadays you and I are rarely off the Internet, and while it may be annoying (and a couple of step back down from what we used to have) it's not THAT bad. As for 'check-in every 1 hour when accessing from separate console, that's more on addressing security/privacy issue just to lessen that danger of someone stealing your account if you somehow left it there open.

Say I lose my internet for a month. I will still be able to use my pc offline. But for the Xbox One, it will lose all functionality if not checked in every 24 hours. See, this is why most fans are hating the new Xbox; no matter how you water it down, always online is always online.

I'm both exited and terrified as to what will become of the Xbox One. The always online feature doesn't bother me too much. But this whole cloud storage thing scares me. What if your account gets hacked? or Corrupted? am I gonna lose all my saved games? Plus if you try to make another XBL account you would have to pay that "used game fee" for all your games.
Im probably just overreacting and creating a slippery slope scenario. But Im just gonna keep playing the waiting game and watch E3.

Here's little something as well - http://news.softpedia.com/news/Microsoft-Paying-Third-Party-Publishers-to-Not-Show-PS4-Games-at-E3-2013-Report-359264.shtml
So yeah.. Now Microsoft is paying under the table to lot of folk, to make the Xbox one look bit more inviting with having "more games" then the PS4 on E3... I really hope people don't buy into this if this is true. How more underhanded can Microsoft actually become if this rumor is true.
If the rumor is false, well.. Considering how much flak they're getting already, I don't think E3 can actually save them.

Probably a lot more underhanded, but then again, Sony's PS3 enjoyed more games from Japan being ported for the American and European consoles.
Unlike Microsoft, Sony knew that if they went on ahead with what Microsoft did, they would get more than just Hell.
Mind you, I have played Xbox and Xbox 360 before, meaning I've had a bit of fun with the Halo series, and even the 360-exclusive Infinite Undiscovery, I'll stick with my PS3, (maybe even invest in a PS4 in the near future, after enough time has passed from its launch date).

Microsoft has lost me as a costumer. And to anyone surprised that Microsoft gave user info to the Government. Do you not remember how Bill Gates was dragged through the Senate on Monopoly charges
