Chapter 4: 20% (lolz. meeting with long time friends made me stop for a day^^)

The story is coming nicely and particularly slowly, but it's because it's getting a bit longer, so please don't kill me yet!!!

Anyways, I changed something in the first chapter for a new character to appear in the 4th chapter. Still thinking of a first name for her, maybe some of you can help?

Chapter 4: 40% (once 50%, the date will then start^^)

I read the pm. The 1st name i came up with was Anna. Then i thought Miyuki or Yukine for the white skin. Then i thought they were quite common. So i thought Rie would kinda suit her characteristics as well...

So basically these are the names i came up with.

Anna(inspired cause of the reading)
Miyuki(Snow white skin)
Yukine(Same here...)
Fuyune(winter??)-_-;
Rie(Not sure where this comes from...Just sorta pop into my head :P )

Hmm... I was wondering if I should post 50% of Chapter 4 and make the other 50% (The date) Chapter 5, since i'm just about to start the other 50%. Chapter 4

Soushi was happily walking towards Tenjou Gakuen with a smile flashing across his face. The sky was blue, the grass was green and the birds are chirping happily.

'Ahh. What a beautiful sunny day' he thought. People that he came across greeted him with a "Hello". But in reality, they were thinking 'What a weird kid'.

'What could possibly go wrong' Soushi thought.

And with that statement, he made his first wrong decision for the day.

"Soushi!"

"Hmm?" He turned towards the voice with a big smile.

"Wha-?!" the girl shielded her eyes before she was totally blinded by the flashy smile on Soushi's face.

"Soushi! For the love of God, close your mouth!"

"Oh Karin, Good Morning!" and flashed an even brighter smile

Karin, with eyes still closed, felt around for Soushi's face and suddenly gave him an uppercut, sending him flying for a second and landing at the ground face-first with a 'thud!'.

"Ouch! What on earth did you do that for?!"

"Me? she opened her eyes and furiously glared right away at Soushi, which made his hair at the back on his neck stand up.

"You should see what you did to the others!"

Soushi stood up and looked around. He could see that the other student who were minding their own business while walking towards their school a munite ago were now lying on the ground, their eyes blank and their faces showing no emotion, each of them twitching continuously.

"Wha- I did this?" Soushi asked Karin, shocked at what he has done.

"Yep. And we better run now. I have a feeling they wont be so happy once they get up"

And both of them ran away from the street full of unconscious sudents.

Both Soushi and Karin arrived at their classroom with a bit time to spare.

"Made it. And still early too" Soushi said. He looked behind him and saw Karin thinking.

"Karin?"

"Oh, sorry Soushi. I was just thinking of those poor students you temporarily disabled. Knowing that we were the cause of their being late saddens me"

"Hey, it wasn't my fault I was so happy"

"Hmm... why were you happy anyways?"

Soushi pondered for a moment and said "Nothing special"

"If it isn't so special, why put on a killer smile?"

"I-I just felt like it, okay?"

"Hmm..."

"What? Is it Illegal now to smile without a suspicious reason?" Soushi scoffed

"...no. I just felt that you were lying to me"

'Ugh... guilt is building up' Soushi thought "W-why would I?"

"Well... I guess you're right" Karin said

"Of course I am. I wouldn't lie to-"

"Soushi-kun!"

'Oh crap!' Soushi looked over Karins shoulder and saw Yuki walking towards them.

"Uhhh... i've gotta go... pee!"

"Why the hell are you telling me that! ugh... disgusting." Karin said as she made a gesture of covering her nose.

"Whatever" and Soushi ran outside the classroom while Yuki walked towards Karin.

"Eh? Where is Soushi-kun going? Yuki asked

"hmm... who knows"

And suddenly, the bell for beginning Saturday classes rang throughout the school.

[Soushi POV]

"Hah... haha... whew, that was close" I said as I reached the boys bathroom. Suddenly, the bell rang, signaling the start of classes.

'Damn. If I enter the classroom, Yuki's bound to blurt out about tomorrow. But if I don't enter, it'lll be my first absent in my whole life! Then again, if Karin finds out, i'm sure she'll unconsciously reveal it, thus starting another riot among the boys'

It brought shivers throughout my whole body as I remember what happened the last time she figured out about my last crush.

[Flashback]

"Eh? Come on Soushi! Tell me what's bohtering you!"

Me and Karin were walking towards the station when I looked over my shoulders and saw a blue-haired girl walking behind us. It was then I noticed it was the girl that I like.

"Come on Soushi! I promise I won't tell a soul!"

"F-fine. See that girl behind us?"

Karin looked back, turned to me and said "The blue-haired girl?"

"Yeah. I kanda like her"

"Ooh" she looked back again "Good eye Soushi! She's pretty cute" she said with a grin.

"You better not tell anyone, okay?"

"Don't worry. I like to tease people, but i'll never tell anyone that-"

She suddenly spun around and pointed at the girl.

"-she's your crush! So don't worry, your secret's safe with me!" she puffed while she pounded her chest.

My jaw fell as I looked at Karin, then at the girl. She was looking at me with wide eyes, and a slightly open mouth. Suddenly, she ran past us.

"W-wait!" I said as I reached out my hand, but it was futile as I kneeled down from both shock and anguish.

'4 months and 17 days of secretly liking a girl, and it wasn't even revealed by me, but by my idiotic friend'

I looked up at the orange-tainted sky.

'God, why do you have to punish the good'

"Hmm, Soushi? What's wrong now?"

[End Flashback]

"Guh" I shivered 'After that, the girl ignored me whenever I tried to talk to her alone throughout the rest of the year. And before 3rd year started, she transferred' I sighed as I left the cubicle and headed towards the exit "And I never even knew her name. What a shame"




I peered outside 'Good, no teachers' then I crouched my back and tiptoed through the hallway till I reached the stairs. I climbed up and reached the door of the rooftop. I noticed the door was slightly open. 'Someone is here?' I thought before opening the door. What I saw after opening the door captivated my eyes.

A blonde, Ponytailed girl was sitting at a blanket at the center of the rooftop, with a large umbrella protecting her delicate white skin from the hot sun. There was a Teacup, a kettle and a small basket. She was reading, actually, as she was holding a book. And it also seems like she's a student here since she's wearing the girls school uniform.

She had purple eyes and was quite short. She also has a cute face that compliments her own body, especially her...

'Gah! What the hell am I thinking?!' I shook me head to get rid of my thoughts and slowly walked towards her.

She seemed to have noticed me as she slowly looked up.

'Hmm? She oddly looks familiar.' "yo. Can I sit next to you?"

She looked at me a bit longer before returning to reading her book

'Totally ignored...' I sweatdropped as I decided to try again.

"Yo"

She looks up "..."

"How you doin?"

"..."

"How come you're here? Isn't class starting right?"

"..."

'What on earth is wrong with her?'

"uh...I'm Kagesora Soushi"

"..." She closes her book and opens her basket, completely ignoring me.

'I failed' I said to myself as I kneeled in defeat. I heard some rustling sounds and decided to look up. Lied down in the blanket is another Teacup and a Book.

"Drink..." she points at the teacup

"Read..." she points at the book

"with me..." she points at a clean place on the blanket

"...I guess that's a yes" I said as I sat down on the blanket and grabbed the book.

"Hmm...this is..." It was a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories. "First Chapter: The Red-Headed league.... are you into Fiction or Advent-"

She was looking at me. Those crystal-clear purple eyes were looking at me so honestly that its gaze felt piercing and frightening.

"err...what?"

"..." She shifted her gaze to the teacup, then back to me

"The tea?" She slowly nodded

"O-okay..." I picked the tea and drank it

"...!" It was good!

"Hey this isn't bad at all" I looked at her again and noticed her gaze was still fixed unto me, only this time she was blushing.

'She doesn't notice it?!'

"Thank you" She said and she opened her book and resumed her reading.

'...well, I guess reading is a good way to waste my time till school is over' I thought to myself as I opened the book and began to read the day away.

The bell that signals the end of school rang

"Hmm? Over already?" I said as I checked my watch. "Well" I stood up "Thanks for the tea and the book"

She looked up and nodded

"umm... May I ask. What's your name?

I think I caught her off-guard because her eyes slightly widened. She looks around randomly till she stood up and looked at the ground before saying "Ai of 1-A"

'Oh. So she's a freshman like me' "Ai? Is that your first name?"

She shakes her head

"Surname?"

She nods

"Ahahaha. That's a pretty cute name" 'Somehow it feels like i'm still talking to a kid' I thought as I patted her head. She seems to like it as she lets out a small smile.

"Thanks for the tea again Ai" I said as I waved at her and left the rooftop. Before the door fully closed, I was pretty sure I heard someone say "Thank you Kagesora"

Soushi was going down the stairs when he saw Karin talking to another Student.

"Karin!" Soushi called out

She looks up and, after saying good bye to the student, started to walk towards Soushi.

"So, how did school go-oof!"

Suddenly, Karin punched him in the guts, sending him flying back to the top of the stairs.

"ugh...cough, cough... what the hell Karin?!" Soushi said as he clenched his stomach and used the wall to raise himself up.

"I can answer that with a question of my own. Where were you this morning Soushi?! Yuki and I got worried when you, a person who never missed or even be late to class since he was born, actually skipped school!"

Soushi felt guilt well up inside him again.

"Hmm? What's going on?"

"Looks like a Lovers Quarrel"

"Kagesora and Scarlett?!"

"Eh?! Seriously?!"

Soushi finally noticed that Students were seeing what te commotion is about.

'Shit, we're making a scene' Soushi thought and he suddenly grabbed Karins wrist and dragged her away from the watching Students.

"Wha- where are you taking me Soushi?!"

"Just be quiet and follow me!"

Soon Karin stopped struggling and quietly followed Soushi

[Karin POV]

Soushi dragged me to the grounds where few students were still sitting on benches.

"Not good" he murmured and dragged me behind a tree where no student can see us.

He finally lets go of my hand, back s away a few steps and faces me with a tense face.

"Okay Soushi. What's the deal with you acting like a bad boy today?" I asked him seriously.

"Uh... well..."

Soushi was fidgeting. 'Wait... fidgeting?' I thought as I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes.

"You see Karin..."

"Stop squirming and just spit it out. You're not a girl, you know."

As soon as he heard those words, he quickly stopped fidgeting and stared directly at me seriously with his brown eyes. This was the first time I ever saw Soushi being serious. It was kinda making my heart pound.

"W-well?" I unconsciously stuttered

"Karin..." He slowly started to walk towards me.

"W-what?" I backed away

"I want to say something to you... something very... very important"

"..." I couldn't speak. My heart was pounding like crazy with each f his step. Before I knew it, my back touched the trunk of the tree. Soushi suddenly slammed his left hand against the tree, and missing my face by inches. It left me totally shocked. I was cornered and I could feel the blush slowly creeping up my face.

"W-wait" I said "I-I think that th-this is to s-s-sudden!" 'why am I stuttering?!?'

"No!" He shouted with such a serious tone that it made the hair on the back of my neck stand "Any longer and I might go crazy!"

'W-what?!' My mind was beginning to panic

"I have to tell you right...Karin"

'Oh my God! Is he gonna confess to me right here?!' I was beginnig to feel Dizzy. Random thoughts of doing 'this' and doing 'that' played through my head.

"Karin...can you..."

Before I could think of what I was doing, I suddenly tackled him while saying "Yes!"

"W-Whoa! Y-you didn't have to hug me!" I notice he was blushing

I was too excited that I kept saying "Yes! Yes!"

"So that means... you won't tell anyone about my crush, right?

"Yes! Ye-"

I slowly let him go and asked him "What?"

"I said, you won't tell anyone about my crush, right?"

"..." I suddenly jumped away from him and turned away 'w-w-w-what did I just do?'. And as soon as realization came over me, I blushed madly 'oh my God! Soushi saw something that is totally unlike me! And to think he was actually referring to his crush and not a confession! How stupid could I be to assume something like that!' Then that was when I acknowledge his question.

"Soushi. Who is your crush anyways?" I turned back to him after regaining my composure.

"He looks around and back to me.

"..."

Did he just whisper something?

"Huh?" I asked as I leaned closer

"...Y-Yuki"

"YUKI??! YUKI IS YOUR SECRET CRU-" suddenly, a hand slapped across my mouth before I could say more.

"Ssh! Don't be so loud!" Soushi said "You better not tell anyone about this, especially Yu-ow!"

I bit his hand. One of his fingers that I bit was slowly turning red.

"Fine, I won't tell anyone. But answer me one thing, when did you fall for her?"

"...I guess it was when I first mether"

I pondered for a moment, then I said jokingly "Nope, I think telling her would be great" and I turned to leave.

"H-hey! Come back here! Karin, I thought we were friends!"

I still kept on walking, pretending I wasn't hearing anything. Then he said the only thing that could make me stop.

"You tell my secret. I tell yours!" Soushi shouted

I sharply turned and walked back towards Soushi. I grabbed his collar and looked at him with a vicious glare. But it seems like it was ineffective as he was still grinning

"You wouldn't"

"Oh yes I would. After you tell my secret, everyone will quickly know that you actually lov-"

"Okay okay! Fine, I won't tell anyone" I let go of his collar as he quickly fixed it

"Thanks"

"Now let's go. Yuki is probably waiting" I said as I turned to lead the way with Soushi following me.

'Good thing he was too dense to notice about the whole hugging thing. No additional blackmail item against me.'I thought as I sighed.

"By the way, Karin. Why did you suddenly hugged me back there while screaming 'Yes! Yes!'?"

I stopped. 'Did he read my mind?!'

"Wait...don't tell me that you were thinking that I was confe-"

I quickly turned and ran towards him, slamming my right fist unto his face. He skewered across the ground and lied face front. I suddenly sat on his stomach and I slowly cracked my knuckles, letting my aura loose.

"W-w-wait, Karin! I-I-I-I was just jo-uwaaa!!!"

"You Idiot!"

SLAM!

"Who the hell-"

THWACK!

"Would fall in love-"

POW!

"With a guy-"

BIFF!

"LIKE-"

SMACK!

"YOU!"

Yuki was standing under a tree near the entrance of the school. She was very tense right now. Not seeing Soushi the whole morning made her worried. She looked at her clock.

'Quarter to 1'

"Yuki-chan!"

She looks up and sees Karin dragging a body with her.

"Karin-san!" She peeks behind Karin "Who is that?"

"Oh! You don't recognize him? I guess I went a bit too far then"

Karin lets go of the body as Yuki closely inspects the face of the person.

"Oh my God! Soushi?!"

Soushi's face was so swollen, Yuki barely managed to recognize him.

"What happened! Don't tell me you were fighting the whole time you were gone!" Yuki said as she violently shook Soushi.

'Uh, Yuki-chan. I was actually the one who beated him up (accidentally). And if you keep shaking him like that, you might just kill him' was Karin wanted to say, but then she thought 'Hmm... I guess this is as close as a punishment Soushi can recieve from Yuki-chan'.

"Ahahaha. I thought that the fresh air would fix the dizzyness. Sorry for worrying you two"

"Hmph. I wish I could've beaten you more for skipping school" Karin said as she ran past the two "come on! If we don't hurry, the train might leave us!" she said without looking back.

"...She's gone" Soushi said

"She's a fast runner" Yuki said "Ah, Soushi-kun!"

"Hmm?"

"Please do not forget about tomorrow, okay?"

"Ah, no worries there. If you want, i'll come 2 hours earlier than the designated time" Soushi laughed

"Ahahaha. But that would be embarassing for me, you arriving before I, the one who invited you, was not there before you."

'That was just a joke' Soushi sweatdropped "Anyways, 1 o'clock tomorrow, okay?"

"Okay"

Once the three went their seperate ways, Soushi arrived at home and spent the rest of the day lazying around like a Kid is supposed to do.

Evening takes over Day and Soushi was looking outside the window while sitting upright on his bed.

'tomorrow eh?' he thought 'I wonder if she has a boyfriend... girls as pretty as her usually do... ugh, what am I thinking? I should forget about that and just look forward to what Yuki is gonna buy for me tomorrow'

And with that, he forgets about his thoughts as he covers himself and goes to sleep.

I voted for "needs improvement", this has been done before, but as people say, don't judge the book for it's cover. I shouldn't judge this yet, although you've only created the basis for the story, and I don't know what it's going to evolve to. is it going to be a love story? a harem story? a perverted story? or just a story about friendship? or is it going to be a comedy? anyway, it's a used basis and I don't really see many paths to take that's still unused. But I am interested to hear the rest of it, or at least the introduction. So I'll wait patiently and wait for the basis to evolve into an actual introduction. I truly hope that you will post it soon!

edit: just noticed that you've already posted more of it :S I'll read through it xD

edit#2: I've now read chapter 1 and 2, until Yuki appears at school. and it was really interesting actually, I don't have the time to read it all now, but I'll remember this thread and read it to the end another day! I hope that you'll continue being bored ^^
