No, it's that he is NOT good ENOUGH for the Nobel Peace Prize. Totally different connotation, iSquall, from that he is TOO good for the Nobel Peace Prize.
I can't see this as a lose lose situation, especially when the Nobel Peace Prize is based on accomplishments. By relevance, FDR would have won the Nobel Peace Prize for collectively unifying the nation, public, private, and governmental, but did he get the prize? No, and neither should Obama. His resume is still thin.

@Tsurayu: If you count the scuffle between me and PD, then yes most users have already voiced their opinions. I, however, do not see this topic worthy of being locked as it was one user trying to pick a fight with me. Tsurayu, if you hate this topic and see it something so useless, stop coming here because all you are doing is same thing that you are accusing me of doing, and this being annoying with repeat opinions.
@hinagiku: Does it look like I'm trying to force my opinion on others? There's only so much a USER can do, and I am voicing my opinion on what I think is right. If you think it is right or wrong or lacking, by all means post away. So far, you keep attacking my position on what I'M saying. What do you have to say about the appropriateness of the usage of rep? I defined to me what is appropriate and took the time to spell it out for discussion. Do the same, and I'll entertain any further debate with you. Until then, your posts are like ballast that does not contribute to this topic, though your earlier ones do. This topic was made in response to another thread and as an advisory thread. Everyone here is free to ignore it or take note of it.

@hinagiku: rep still serves its purpose because there users who use rep correctly as a tool of appreciation, not something for kicks. That's why I feel it's worth saving, hence this thread.
Perhaps the -rep function should be taken away, as it'll force users to think more carefully on what deserves a rep, and only "deserve" rep. But as I mentioned before, even the +rep function is abused, e.g. people being nice or cutesy or ignorant of the system and rules. Both rep functions from what I've seen have been abused, and this is my call to the community to tell them to start using rep wisely, or else rep becomes meaningless in value and we would be better off getting rid of rep than keeping it.
To note, I feel that the +rep function has been used properly in a couple of ways:
1. Contributions: Uploads, requests, pictures
2. Users: intelligence, appropriate comedy, relatability
Anything beyond that to me spells abuse of the +rep function.
To note, I feel that the -rep function has been used properly in the following manner:
1. Relevance: off-topic, flippant/superficial posts
2. Behavior: offensive, racist, trolling types
Anything beyond that to me spells abuse of the -rep function.
Anyone is free to disagree or agree with me. I'm posting what I believe to be the ideal usage of both rep functions as it should be.

Here's another video that I think represents Monty's brilliance at its finest, his Icarus video:
Though I can't find it for download, it really is a great piece of work with lots of symbolism and references.
As for Dead Fantasy, the only that'll fuel that discussion is once we see the new video. I can only hope he brings a stellar performance with his new video and see some awesome action of Riku vs. Ayane. But since all the main male heroes have showed up, with exception of Tidus and Squall and maybe some others that don't come to mind, I can't imagine any other guys barging in on the Riku vs. Ayane fight with the exception of FF guys. On the DOA side, the male guys with a close relationship with Ayane have already been used up.

I voted yes simply because it's exclusive to FAKKU! and Gambler in particular. Outside of FAKKU!, it probably isn't a meme.
@Rbz: your posts bring me the lulz.
@hinagiku: no no, I agree that the rep system is broken BECAUSE of user attitudes, but I think the rep system was initially set up that it could be abused. It really is user attitude that determines the value of rep, and because of unwise and flippant usage of rep by the users, rep has lost it's value which is sad.

@PersonDude: for arguing for the sake of arguing, which I believe you to be doing, you've failed spectacularly.
As far as I can tell, you aren't attacking any fallacy or contradictions in my arguments of examples as I see it nothing as a defense to someone you support. Subjectiveness does nothing to build your argument, and neither does insulting other party.
If I was part of the administrative staff, then yes, I would be telling you how to exercise your rights on how to use rep. Since I am not, I am only exemplifying what I consider to be an appropriate usage of rep, which is something that I feel still has value. This is not and was not supposed to be an argument, but thanks to you, you've made it a personal one, and one I intend to fight because you can't appreciate what I'm trying to do, which is nothing more than throwing caution to the winds about using rep wisely. I never said nor directly implied that your use of repping lollollol12 was wrong. I mentioned that people de-rep him because others find what you find amusing to be offensive. You're arguing points that are irrelevant to my argument, which means that you need to study up on how to argue. Two people arguing two different things is guaranteed to go nowhere. Like us.
What the hell is passive aggressive agreement? You've made an oxymoron that only cuts down your argument.
One, using Waar as an example is wrong because he does not give out rep, and it has long since he's been repped for the creation of the waifu game. His intent behind the game was not to gain nor give out rep like the so-called rep contests that I'm lambasting. You wanna talk innappropriate use of examples? Then what is this line of crap you're feeding me?
The fact that I can type this all out in the quick reply function tells me that your arguments are on the elementary scale. For person who says he can argue, I see you giving up instead of putting up a more valiant effort in making his arguments make sense instead of trying to criticize a user who's original intent with this thread was nothing more than advice.
And as I mentioned before, I'm making a general plea to community to get their heads strapped on right and set their hearts in the right place. I can only do so much to fix a system that deserves some saving since it still means something.

This is just another manipulation of the Chinese zodiac animals... and Pedobear's brought the entire zodiac with him - oh noes, run for lives!
First off, it's "watching". Secondly, this belongs in the Technology section, not here that's for overall site functions.

Without a strong evidence/examples, you don't have a solid argument/your core point. You don't have solid examples making your core points flimsy at best. It's an argumentative technique to attack the evidence. It's a high school English level, you should take it some time.I don't have strong examples - so bascially this entire thing is so damn minor that there aren't any strong examples to begin with, is that right? You're entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. And don't tell me how to argue - I've been in debate club and written plenty of essays and speeches on persuasion. If you weren't so damn busy looking for logical fallacies or contradictions in my examples rather looking at the content, maybe I would actually take your words into consideration. If you can't appreciate what I'm doing here, then get out and don't come here. It's your prerogative to come in this thread and get something out of it, and if you're so annoyed by my use of examples and arguments, then why bother? If I knew any better, you'd be trolling me. Also directly attacking the oppposing user is a sure way to tell that the argument has gone beyond the civil level into a personal-insults slugging contest, so good job at discrediting your own arguments.

ALL the repeat uploaders gain rep. Please, spare me your naive outlook that people do shit out of charity while expecting no returns.Do you ever read what I write? Did I not say that the upload/rep system works as a give and take relationship? You think I believe on a general whole that people upload stuff for charity? No. But I do believe that people upload stuff simply because they can to help contribute to the community. If everyone was as selfish as you have implied, it only strengthens my argument that said rep-contests are even more despicable to gain rep since that is barely a give and take relationship from what I've seen.

The fact that he was banned, hostile or immature, and told off by Raze doesn't really have anything to do with the fact that I think he's a funny guy. He's got the skill to be funny and if he gains rep because he's funny, then he got it legitimately. On the flip side, if he loses rep for not being funny and being annoying instead, then that's legitimate too.
And I've got no problems with that. Just make sure you aren't telling me it's right or wrong on how I should rep a comedian, acceptable joke or not.
So, if lollollol12 said that he was a racist person, and mind you his beginning posts were plenty racist, you would rep him on that too, right? Knowing that he wasn't serious? Or maybe he was, before the community complained and the admins decided to take action? Is that acceptable, to be racist on the internet and get away with it? PersonDude, as far as I'm concerned, your arguments do not even touch mine because you are so subjective in defending lollollol12 and his horseshit antics. In fact, from a serious thread, he managed to poke his head in and disrupt the flow by posting nonsensical shit that I choose to ignore because it is bullshit, and in return he got negged rep - his actions only goes to corroborate my arguments. If he is so damn funny, why don't you +rep him back? Either way, you'd be supporting my position.
And as I mentioned before, I'm making a general plea to community to get their heads strapped on right and set their hearts in the right place. I can only do so much to fix a system that deserves some saving since it still means something.
@Tsurayu: I keep repeating myself like a broken record because apparently people don't understand my intent or aren't willing to discuss it - what are you, blind or something? Look at how this thread turned out, and tell me that people are or are not getting my points.
@ZeroOBK: nononono, what happened to your Yami avatar? That was so cute.
