That being said, I was busy partying and fell ill. I subsequently had lots of work to clear due to the medical leave I took.

As Mattarat has mentioned, the staff members will eventually decide whether to appoint new Moderators. With regards to the ban function, Global Mods did use to have it in the past, but it was removed for some reason. I believe it serves as a deterrent to users intending to break the rules, but on the other hand, said power must not be abused either.
For those who know me, I speak of a fair system all the time, without double standards. The same can be said of appointing Moderators and wielding the ban function. They must be bestowed, without favouritism, upon someone who can perform his/her duties well.

Quite a few years have passed, but there are still some people who suffer from the pains of the attack, be it the trauma or even the loss of a loved one. Perhaps the intention is to protray a message of forgiveness and to move on, but it might have been misunderstood.

I was caught between moving this thread to the Computers and Technology section or the Video Games section. However, since the thread starter is talking about a computer setup for gaming, I thought the Video Games section would be more appropriate.

I doubt anyone on Fakku is going to remember my birthday, so I thought I might as well be a little shameless and start a thread, so that everyone can celebrate it with me. That being said, I should try making more friends... and hopefully, less enemies.
Some of you may not know who Nikon is, but for those who know, I thought it would be good to celebrate the occasion together. Hopefully, he doesn't mind.

Assuming I am User B in the above scenario, if I were to delete my own sent message, the PMs from User A can still be read, just that it appears like a double post.

I understand perfectly how it feels when one's external hard disk fails. Thankfully, I had the support of my fellow forum members back then, although I still paid money for the recovery program.
Or just get another enclosure and transplant the hard drive yourself, unless you got warranty on the prebuilt external hdd.
Anyway, getting back on topic, there are two simple solutions which you could try to adopt at this point in time:
1) Change the USB cable. It may be faulty and this happens if the cable is used for a prolonged period... or so I think.
2) Change the casing of your hard disk, like what Spectre257 has suggested. Sometimes, the problem does not lie with the hard disk, but rather the enclosure.

It appears that some of us were guilty of accusing getchu of blocking foreign IPs. I have to admit I was angry with them too. However, getchu is now accessible to everyone again, or so I think. It was most probably a maintenance thing; hopefully, such issues will never crop up again.

I am always upset to hear such news and information, even though it may not affect me right now.
In the day, we are already busy with our schoolwork or that of our jobs. Couldn't we have some form of freedom when we reach the comfort of our homes, albeit on the internet?
