New work experience "employee" started today at my workplace. This lifted my spirits because:

• Upgrading from Work Experience to Employee feels more official.
  [*]I'm no longer the freshest meat. Although that does exclude paid work.
  [*]I can relate - and have related - to how hard the long, unpaid hours are. Work Experience people work longer than the Manager and Assistant Manager. I guess it's necessary because that way they get more time to learn the ropes, but still.
  [*]Related to the feeling of uselessness because you have no idea what you're doing in your early days. On my first day I sat on the floor, in everyone's way, while sorting out a pile of crap I had no idea what to do with.

Basically tried to be as nice as I could and sympathised about how tough it is. She was complaining to me quite a bit about the hours, the jobcentre, asked what it was like when I was on Work Experience, if everyone she hadn't met today was nice and if I had any problems with anyone else who work there (which I don't, besides the one bad apple who never turns up and eventually got demoted). She seems nice enough, though I'm not entirely sure she wants to be there; she told me she was forced by the Jobcentre to phone up about the position, whereas I went there willingly. I just hope she can stick it out because the first couple of weeks are the worst.



I got my P45 last week in the post from the Jobcentre which I handed in today and posted off. One less thing to worry about. Next on the list: phone up the Work Programme I was referred to while claiming Jobseeker's Allowance and tell them that I already have a job and signed off about 2 weeks ago.

Rudely awoken by phonecalls from work, both of which I missed. I rung back, she explained that the Assistant manager called in sick and she was asking around for someone to cover. But I was a tiny bit too late - someone else had agreed to do it. Which would explain why it was engaged when I tried the first time.

Darn me for liking sleep so much.

Doesn't end there - the mother proceeded to gossip about it and blow it out of proportion on the phone to my nan, saying they only phoned to fuck me about.

She comes to these conclusions without any evidence. She almost tore apart my relationship the last time she had a funny turn, because le gf said something which she either misheard or misunderstood, and went batshit crazy. That was a horrible 2 weeks.

Nice one. I don't change avis often so it didn't affect me but, still nice.

Liking the new addition of seeing our sigs in our profile, as well. Sig test threads and posting for the sake of sig testing is finally rendered obsolete.

So did I initially, but I got way too addicted to it. I still like the game but since I beat the game a good couple of years ago I'm sitting on my hands, stuck for things to do.

Can I tempt you to play through the medium of musical scores from the game?









I've just noticed that my preferred games are ones with good music. Huh. Even GTA has a couple of good ambient ones; No Happy Endings and the Flight School theme.

In general I do dislike someone who has extreme views, like being outwardly racist. Though I guess that's more of them as a person than something they do.

Otherwise I can't immediately think of anything.

I've been friends with dramaqueens in the past. The kind of person who makes a mountain out of a molehill. The type who ruin nights out and drag everyone else down with them because of something an ex of theirs has supposedly said. Yeah. Now, if I'm friends with one I end up eventually not talking to them. Imagine being in a relationship with one? Absolutely grim thought.

I'll either be on Spiral Knights on Steam, on PS3 Minecraft, PS3 GTA Online or doing other things.

Fuck me I laughed more than I probably should have.

Besides being out most of the day and going to the Pub Quiz, I got fuck all done on Minecraft simply due to lack of motivation to build anything.

I did however:

• Get some Shears through Villager Trades. Running low on those.
  [*]Get an Iron Sword, then later enchanting it with Fire Aspect I, both through Villager Trades. It shall take pride of place as my "Emergency instant food-sword", where if I ever run out of food and my character's hungry, I'll kill farm animals with it to get cooked meat right away. Though with Mooshrooms and their ability to forever supply you with Stew I can't see that happening often, but clue's in the name: "Emergency"
  [*]Got more Diamond Tool trades from Blacksmiths: a Helmet and yet another Diamond Sword. Just need one with Leggings and I've got the entire set available via trades.
  [*]Started work on flattening the Snowy land around my house. I have a Snowy biome right next to where I am, so I'm going to make use of it and build an ice rink. The problem is, I'll gain way more dirt than I'll use. And I already have a chest and a half full of dirt I can't get rid of.

Was forced by my friend's sister to accompany her to someone's house to play board games with them and his kid. He popped into the shop yesterday where he invited her, but she didn't want to go on her own because "he smelled" and figured that he might have stopped showering. Next thing I know, she said "YOU'RE COMING TOMORROW" and kept reminding me throughout the morning until the time. So I had no choice in the matter, and I don't think he did either.

But I am pretty glad I did go - had quite a lot of fun. Played board games, that football game you have to flick the players but I can never remember the name, they showed me their Minecraft worlds (although merely Creative games) which are pretty cool. Just a shame they're on Xbox or I'd have added them and shown them mine. Then watched her and his kid play Lego Batman until she handed the controller to me because he was getting really frustrated because she sucked at it. Top lel.

The guy showed me one of his Guild Wars 2 characters which made me want to play, but the game looks so pretty I'll probably fear for my laptop's life if I tried to play it.

And went to the Pub Quiz straight after. We didn't win, but we did get 2 free meal vouchers for having the best Quiz name; "Oscar Pastorius has a better defence than Man. United", and I went to the shop and got 2 bags of Doritos.

Today was a good day.
