There's a progress bar that shows you how long you have until you play Pac-Man. I understand. If there's going to be reaper tentacle rape, a simple warning that it could happen wouldn't be sufficient; the game would end up being too complex. The casuals would be forever lost if Bioware wasn't there to hold their hand.

Is it just an animation thing, or does it add anything to gameplay? It seems mostly an animation thing. In the engineer's case, the attack burns through armor; not sure if the same applies to the infiltrator when it comes to shields.
I played the demo again and I see that Bioware wasn't fucking around when they claimed that melee would play a larger role. Sometimes I would go one on one with a centurion asshole, turning the game into street fighter; Shepard no longer just plays whack-a-mole with the butt of his gun.
Having played as every class in the demo, my evaluation is as follows:
Soldier: Shit
Infiltrator: Win (needs more sniper rifle)
Vanguard: Fun
Sentinel: *Yawn*
Adept: Jedi Master
Engineer: Neither shit, nor great.

Anyone played Infiltrator class yet? I haven't got the chance to test out the demo, so I'm wondering if it changed much since ME2 (Infiltrator being my default class for my main Shep since 1). The demo is shit for an infiltrator. You get the equivalent of a semi-automatic rifle, so no surprise sniper buttsex. You're always able to buttsex them with a heavy melee, though.

One of the few true weaknesses DA2 had.Among many others, but that requires comparing it to Origins.
I've noticed a weird trend in Dragon Age and Mass Effect:
1st game is badass.
2nd game is dumbed-down to "expand the market." (More so in DA2; elaborated on in my review of DA2, if anyone cares to read 10 paragraphs.)
3rd game is like second, but due to fanboy outcry, it will incorporate elements from the 1st. This is evident in the ME3 demo. (e.g., similar but a bit more complex leveling system, and the return of weapon customization.) Concerning DA3, I read a while back that Bioware has moved on from Origins, but will try to appease its fans in some ways.

DA2 and Exiled Prince.I'll have my CE.
Oh god, I remember seeing his weapons being sold and yet there was no one in my team able to equip them. It's like the game was trolling people, pointing out that they bought an incomplete game.
It's a shame that in order to have the complete game at launch, one has to pay extra.

Oh, come on, they did the same 0-day DLC already with DA:O and The Stone Prisoner. Nothing new there.Shale was free if you bought the game new. The second dlc was superfluous nonsense. The "From Ashes" thing is pretty important, that is, if you actually paid attention to what was said in ME1&2. If there's enough of a shitstorm, they might actually do what they did with Origins.
Either way, I'll be getting this game used.
Oh lawdy, Bioware done fucked up. Due to a fuck up on xbox live, a day 1 dlc, to be sold for $10, was revealed. Soon after, Bioware admitted they were being for realz with that shit.
Anyway, people went apeshit and Bioware responded. The only thing I know in all of this is that this content was heard about a while ago. Essentially, this content, which has long been planned for, didn't make it into the main game and is going to be sold as a dlc. If corporate greed was a super villain, then that asshole has struck again. My cynical ass can't see it any other way.
Then again, I'm already boycotting EA, so this just serves as reinforcement.
