It is win, but in a AR, I look for both accurate/penetrating fire as well support role for cover fire. An ideal AR would be something like:Bullpup design
7.62mm bullets
30-40 round magazine, which can be split into 15/16/18/20 dual chambered magazines
2'3" - 2'8" length gunwise
Burst-fire/automatic fire option
Effective range of 400 meters, up to 700 meters
I keep thinking that a hybrid of Halos' AR and BR would be the best rifle, incorporating AR's high rate of fire and close-range use with the BR's high accuracy and use at mid-range combat. Keep in mind that I have a slightly higher than normal interest in guns because I believe in the zombie apocalypse, hence my need for automatic fire.
Well, if you don't have any major skeletons the BATF will raise their eyebrows at, Impact Guns sells civilian transferable machine guns (just pay the $200 tax stamp!). They're kinda pricey though. $4,000 for a M11, $20,000 for a M-16.
And about your dream gun there, save auto fire, the RBF is pretty much what you're looking for. And I don't see how you'd need 400 meter effective range, have you even tried to shoot 100 meters?

But for $1880? I could get a shotgun and another AR for that kind of money.I do admit the forward ejecting mechanism is pretty cool, and it doesn't like it'll get in the way of firing either. And either the guys firing the gun are weak or have bad firing stance, or the recoil from the gun is bigger than I imagined.
True, but I think it'll have a huge market as a vehicle defense weapon. Those rounds will go through steel no issue, even normal ball ammo. Compact length and huge firepower are a win-win combo, plus that it's absolutely ambidextrous. I agree the rice is kinda high, but so is the STR-556 (US-made Steyr AUG). Seems like except for the AK and those SKS conversions, bullpups are expensive.
Please, can anyone tell me the song's name? And if gendou.com has it, or where I can get it? Thanks.

Lol, the Kel-Tec RFB. Add a shroud to it, and move the magazine further back and replace the magazine for a 36 round, dual chamber 18 rounds, magazine, add a scope, and you have the BR from Halo. It looks pretty dang close.I just thought its method of casing ejection was cool (look on youtube). Plus, it's aimed solely at civilians too, and it's a new gun that fires the big-boy NATO rounds. (Win .308). Plus, alot smaller and lighter than either the FN FAL or G3 clones. But yeah, it would not be that difficult to mod it to do so. I think it would be easier to do with a Norinco Type 97 though. Shame the Canuckistanians get them, and we don't!
I still love that cbrps bullpup SKS though.
Totally ragin' here.
Seriously, the game's rated M and the scene's skippable.
So we can have Dakota Fanning filming a rape scene at age 12 but we can't have wanton violence that isn't even against Americans? I thought America was the land of the violent and home of the religious anti-sexers?

Just discovered that a select-fire variant of the SKS was made by China; the Norinco Type-63 Rifle. Safe/Semi/Burst. Now, I have faith that at least a couple were imported and registered with the ATF. So, combine stripped burst-fire mechanism with the kit in the op post...'scuse me, I'm getting an erection.
They offer good penetration pretty much no matter what. And that's why I think a linkless feed is used.
On the subjetct of 7.62 NATO and bullpups, check out the Kel-Tec RFB.

7.62 Nato rounds in a small magazine? That's quite a stretch of a magazine container even without the springs. Those bullets are huge, but offer good to great penetration depending on the gun. They offer good penetration pretty much no matter what. And that's why I think a linkless feed is used.

Yeah, spoilers are a real bitch. That's why I'm ignoring anything relating to Modern Warfare 2 save the two trailers. I haven't even read the list of weps on the IMFDB.

I'm not saying it's entirely unrealistic. Look at the FN Herstal P90. Its mag is only a bit bigger than a Glock 33-rounder and it holds 50. Also, I don't think a linkless, electric-drive magazine if too far-fetched, the only hassle would be cost and weight, but in a bullpu rifle all the aweight would be right against your shoulder, so swing-weight (how hard it is to bring the weapon to your shoulder to fire) would actually not be that bad. And sixty rounds of 5.56 is not entirely unfeasible. It might occupy the volume of 3 and a half STANAG magazines, but it is an interesting concept.
Also, according to the ammo chart on Halopedia, the Halo Assault rifle uses 7.62 NATO ammo! So the same cartridge that the G3 and FAL used some fifty years ago is still around 300 years from now?

The way Sankaku makes it sound, every single Japanese woman is a money-grubbing, selfish, vain, tight-assed feminazi.
Please tell me that this is not the truth, because I already think that of American women.

@sv51macross: The first Halo AR had 60 bullets in one magazine, sorry for the confusion. Even then, I thought it looked weird for a boxy magazine to hold a bullet quantity greater than 20 bullets. That's why I think halo mags must use some kind of electric drive with a linkless feed (like, for example, the gun on a F-16), because no spring could fit those rounds in that mag.

Did a little forum-lurking and found a few things out:-Yugoslavian SKS's were not made with chrome-plated bits, wear faster.
-Yugoslavian SKS's were packed with Cosmoline, which requires an hour-long 'boil-off' (literally, put the receiver in a pot and boil it for an hour, normal cleaning won't get rid of it.)
-Often a SKS will have a failing gas block seal that can be rectified by making a new o-ring with a paper clip
-Yugoslavian SKS's sometimes are picky about cartridge power due to first item on list.
-It has been found that 'sportsterized' Yugos modified to work with AK magazines are not always reliable and that feeding issues are possible, the SKS receiver was only made to work with the internal 10-rounder.
Point learned: Buy genuine Soviet!
LOL no cheap copies?
Makes sense, as the nutnfancy clip with the SKS-touting Marine I mentioned; his SKS was a genuine Soviet gun. So yeah, no cheap knock-offs, unless you get a Chinese one, those'll have the chrome on them at least.
Damn...Impact Guns lists Zastava made SKS's. Zastava is in Serbia, which used to be Yugoslavia...so no chrome plating.

And just as public service, here's some uncensored Maria Ozawa for y'all.

Its not a joke.It was the 2009 season and ep number 122.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MythBusters_%282009_season%29
They were doing a myth on a russian gangster placed his SKSes in his back seat and blasted music so hard that the guns went off.
They subjected the 3 SKSes through all sorts of sounds, frequency etc.
Kari,Grant and Tory conducted the experiment.
And they proved it a myth! I think that if a good condition unit is kept clean and decent ammo is used then it should be okay.

@Callonia: I don't read $75 at all, sv51macross mentioned that you used to be able to buy rifles at that cheap number, but not anymore.Awesome rifles, totally reminescent of Halo rifles. However, not only the Halo rifles are more advanced in their ammo counters, they feature boxy-like magazines that can hold up to a whopping 60 bullets. These rifles still feature a shaft magazine.
That Mosin Nagant looks badass.
As for Steyr rifles, they might've been the most well know example of the bullpup design, but other rifles like the FAMAs also feature the bullpup design.
I know the SKS isn't that cheap anymore. Impact Guns lists it at $400. the SKS conversion is $350 ($290 w/o picatinny rail, but I want optics mountability) And the SKS didn't have a shaft magazine (Mosin-Nagant?) The SKS is a semiauto with an internal, stripper-clip fed 10rnd magazine. Alot of them were 'sportsterized' though and accept AK magazines.
And the Halo AR has 32rnds, the BR has 36, where do you get 60?

Just type SKS jamming or misfiring in google.I seen a few youtube vids about SKS jamming and it was featured in mythbusters if SKS would misfire under loud sound.
The youtube clips I'll check, but Mythbusters? YGBSM, that's a joke, right?
----------------
Also, just realized something. the SKS's safety is on the trigger. What provision do the Center Balance Rifles (linked in op post) or the SGWorks bullpup conversions have for actuating the safety? Or do they have an additional one? hmmm
@Argentine
Dunno about the SKS jamming. On youtube, nutnancy filmed a shoot with him and his buddies, and one of his friends, an ex-Marine, brought a mint SKS with him and had nothing but flowering praise for the rifle. Either way, this seems exclusively like a Steyr TP9, a 'fun gun'. A completely fukken badass fun-gun, but a fun-gun nontheless.
@LoneOtakuSword
The only issue is that the Halo BR has some kind of wierd magazine that can't work without some kind of micro-drive like how an fighter-jet's gun feeds.
And the Sniper actually isn't based on the Barret. It looks like it, but it's much closet to the South African Denel NTW-20. (20mm caliber!)

So some may know the raggedy old SKS rifle the soviets used before the Avtomat Kakashnakov came along. Well, it used to be you could go into your local guns store and buy one from Yugoslavia for $70. The rpice has gone up some, but its still a reliable, accurate rifle that fires the same 7.62x39 ammo the AK-47 needs.
And now, you can buy a kit to make it look like a cross between Halo's Assault and Battle rifles. Best part is that because the SKS uses an internal 10-round magazine, its legal in NY and CA. ('Sportster' SKS rifles use AK mags).

I disagree with the notion that surgery is required for removal. I've seen a clip demonstrated and it's a pliable plastic, a little stiffer than the material used to package blankets and pillows at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. A sharp hobby knife/box cutter could cut off the tip, and then all you do is get a dainty pair of scissors, cut it down the length between spike strips, and gently push forward before unwrapping*.*If you're still hard at this point something's wrong with you. A sofr penis would make it easy to get one side os a scissor between the shaft and the plastic.
You're under the assumption the girl will give you time to do that.
If a girl has one inside of her vagina and your dick is in there, chances are your dick wasn't supposed to be in there in the first place. I wouldn't be quick to guess she'd allow you to pull any boyscout tricks. She'd want you in pain.
Well, one of the points was that it required surgical removal, implying a rapist would seek-out medical attention at a hospital/clinic and alert the doctors that he attempted to rape somebody. Unless it gives her a change to get her gun/knife/pepper spray, I think she's going to try and run.
