Well I doubt doing illegal buisness is going to be the solution to the problem. Rather earn your money fair, turn towards your community / social helping funds and god knows how many possibilities you have to seek help in finding work / getting on your own feet.So you're saying that selling weed is an unfair way to earn money?

Well the only way to get a job is through a job interview, so I would say if you want one start there. As for selling drugs, the main thing that is the hardest to do is not become your own custumer. There's a rule of thumb among drug dealers, "don't smoke what you sell." Every good dealer that smokes has two stashes, one for them and one for merchandise, for lack of a better term. If you have to dip into your stash, make sure that you can supplement the amount of money you need to replace it with part of your profit.
That's why my brother failed horribly at every attempt he made to sell drugs, especially heroin. He just did way to much of his own shit and didn't have enough to sell in order to make the money back that he needed. In the end he was like $1000 in debt. The people he was dealing with were far beyond his means in the sense of being able to handle the consequences that would arise from not being able to pay them back. In a way he got off easy because he was hospitalized for a number of medical problems, then he developed skin cancer which spread throughout his body in a few months. I'm not saying he was lucky that he died of cancer, but its a lot better than what would have happened if his connects dealt with their issues with him.

So.....I just recently heard some scientist discovered a new number between 3 and 4 called "glorf". does this idea seem idiotic to any of you?It does to me. Thoughts?
Its definitely one of the most idiotic things I've heard. You can't just "discover" new numbers. They're abstract, and while anyone can claim to have discovered one, they'll probably be called an idiot, branded a witch and burned at the stake(that was a sarcastic lol), or ostracized for a number of reasons. A new number would literally cause the world to collapse. Its not as bad as dividing by zero, but every part of the civilized world uses the same set of numerical values. Not only would all economic systems collapse, but anything based upon mathematical functions would need to be reworked. If things were able to be resolved after the chaos, it would plant the seed of doubt regarding the whole numerical system because if there's something between 3 and 4, then there could be something between any other numbers.
If you really feel you need money, just get some bullshit job to hold you over until you find one you find more suitable. Habits and hobbies tend to be pricey, so you should also look into alternatives. That's why I download or read/watch manga and anime on the internet. Its not so much out of greed as it is an alternative to pissing away money that I need for things higher on my list of priorities.
Selling pot is always an option. I mean its not the most promising, but if you good enough connections you could make insane amounts of money within a week. The problem is that if you start selling it on your own right away, initially you might have to put some money into it. I used to sell and when I started I would spend anywhere from $100-$250, but since where I live business was good I could double whatever I spent. When the police started busting some of the bigger dealers, it kind of affected business overall around here. There were only like three or four major suppliers in my area and since I was only able to get my shit through people that did business with them, it was too hard to get shit to sell, let alone smoke. Getting back on track, if the community is secure for it and there are a lot of people who will come to you, its a very lucrative, albeit illegal, business.

she's my idea of a perfect woman.your idea/description/pic of a perfect woman?
if you're saying that nobody's perfect, you could at least post your favorite girl in the whole world.
oh,and for the girls here, you could post your perfect man.
characters from anime/manga is allowed.
and your reasons,if possible.
I'm not sure where this thread got so side-tracked, but this was the OP. He didn't say that the woman was perfect, or that you need to describe A perfect woman. He said to give YOUR idea of a perfect woman FOR YOU. In other words, your ideal. I don't think he's really saying to describe the absolute perfect woman, just what your ideal woman is. That said, I'm curious what your ideal woman is TJ.
Well as I've been saying, in much less detail, I really can't decide on the ideal woman for me because its not just a matter of personality and appearance. What would make a woman perfect for me would come out of the connection between us. I haven't met a woman yet that I can say, "if I could be with anyone she would be the one." There's only one woman that I can say, at the moment, I can see myself with, but I can't say that she's my ideal woman. There's no way I'd post her picture because she would probably be a little pissed.

@The Jesus: Do you study Occult Theory, or is this an ideology you formed on your own?A little of both. I mean I was raised around spiritual believes. My mom isn't overly spiritual, but we've been talking about things like this all my life. Her ex-husband, who was more of a father figure than my actual father, was the most spiritual person I've ever met. Its weird, in some ways he was far beyond where I am right now, but from what I've been told by my mom, who knew the spiritual side of him really well, in some ways I've reached a level that he hadn't in his life. Its a shame that he died because I'd really like to talk to him knowing what I know now. He always told me to be aware of every experience, take from them whatever I can, and grow by adapting that knowledge to my own beliefs. I've studied so many different theories, belief systems, philosophical perspectives etc. in my life and they've all had some influence on me at one time or another, but in the end I craft my own beliefs. Like I've said in other threads, I've come to believe what I believe because of everything that I've learned and experienced in life.

It is not ok for humans to kill any other humans regardless of where they are in the social hierarchy and this includes those in poverty.Killing the man with the orange was not the only way to survive. Perhaps if it was the last form of food on the face of the planet then maybe.
However it was probably NOT the last form of food in existence.
The homeless man who had no food could have possibly found another means to get food for his survival. Begging is one of them. Not everyone is cold and heartless and surely if he had worked hard enough to beg to everyone in the city he would have received some form of food or money from SOMEONE.
It seems as though he acted out like that was his only way to survive. He MUST have THAT orange, is how he makes it seem. Chances are though he could have found another orange (or any other food) somewhere else.
He could have even stolen food as a means to survive instead of resorting to murder.
There were other options but he ignored them and chose the worst one he could possibly choose. I do believe there are instances when it is necessary to take another human's life, this is not one of those instances however.
I hope he was convicted of murder and sentenced like he should be in that episode. (At least then he'd get locked up and have a roof over his head and food served to him.)
Isn't it saddening that our own criminals are better off than those on the street?
Exactamundo! They addressed that in the episode too. In the end he was found guilty and sentenced to 16 years. I had the same exact thought. In prison he'll have shelter and food everyday. He might get raped. But still. Where i live (Which is not the united states or from any english speaking country. hell its not even a country its an island.) Last year there was this thing: An inmate got upset and complained because he didn't get any fruit with his breakfast. I thought that was absurd.
The fact of the matter is that the society that has been established has narrowed man's view of the world, even to the point where some humans are incapable of understanding the actions of other members of their own species due to their position in society. You're thinking about things from the perspective of a person that doesn't have to struggle to survive, but if you were homeless, would you see it the same way? Sure, the guy did have the option of begging for food, but as was stated in the man's defense, the homeless are cast into exile and people who care are few and far between. When the trial started, the homeless guy was dressed as a he would any other day and Jack McCoy, the DA for the people who don't watch Law & Order, objected to his appearing in court that way because it was "inappropriate." The expectations that we have can't be applied to the homeless because we've turned them, almost literally, into a different breed of human than us.
This is one of the reason why I have such a disdain for modern man and the society it has created. The laws that are put into affect are meant to apply to everyone, but in drafting them there is very little consideration put into the varying lifestyles that exist. The laws of society that were created to provide everyone with equality and freedom suppress the beliefs and instincts that define people as they are today. I'm not saying that there should be different laws for different people, what I'm saying is that people aren't equal, even if it says so on paper. Human society is a really tall ladder and the homeless are at the bottom rung.

I'm still trying to come up with a response to this. I don't think its possible for a human to be "perfect."i think your being way to serious even for the serious discussion forum, its obviously a generalization. attributes of someone who could meet your wants and needs but dont have god mode on or anything, something realizable. i dont mean to be a prick or anything, id actually like to see what your looking for in a woman.
I don't think that its possible to be too serious for a serious discussion forum. That's my view and I'd rather have an imperfect woman that exists than a perfect one that doesn't. Its true that there are ideal women out there, but the possibility of finding anyone, real or not, that meets all of your expectations is slim to none. I'm idealistic, but I also look at things rationally. Perfection is subjective. However, its still a long shot.
I kept the subjective standards that people come up with in mind when I made my previous post. Although, I should probably clarify it. A person, by anyone's standards cannot be perfect because they are human. They may at one moment possess a quality, but that could change in the blink of an eye. We are constantly growing, evolving, and learning. We mold our personalities through experience and while one can retain qualities from yesterday, there is no telling whether tomorrow something might happen that could make them a completely different person next week. It doesn't happen on such a drastic scale, but it tends to happen to fictional people as well. That's why I said that if I were to describe a perfect woman it would have to be a composite. That way it would just be an amalgamation of the characteristics I find to be ideal collected into a fictional woman that I don't have to worry about subjecting to undue expectations of conforming to what I want or never being able to change. The thing is that there is only so much that anyone can expect of someone else.
In the way of love and being with the right person, people need to stop emphasizing the importance of perfection in their partners and relationships so much. Who you're with isn't nearly as important as what you have together and what you make of it. Relationships shouldn't be so dependent on personality because even if you disagree all the time you could have a love that is stronger than that of a couple who agree on basically everything. If I can be with a woman that I can trust, have fun with, enjoy being around, and that I can have conversations with about things that are on our minds, that would be good enough for me.
Its bullshit that smokers are forced to leave wherever they are in order to have a cigarette, its fucking disrespectful. I'm a smoker and I agree that places like hospitals, schools, and some other places shouldn't permit smoking. However, it really pisses me off that if I'm out drinking, I have to go outside to smoke. In restaurants and many public places, there used to be a smoking section, a non-smoking section, and a commingled section. People can bitch about how they think its disrespectful for smokers to be smoking indoors, but that's why they had a section reserved for them, separate and out of the way of the smokers. When it was legal, I rarely smoked in public places, but when I did I was aware of and respectful to the people around me. Not all people are like that, but that doesn't mean that all smokers should have to suffer for the actions of a handful of assholes.
This whole bitching about smoking thing is getting too out of hand. People have this idea that if you make a big enough statement, its going to get people to quit and make tobacco companies straighten up. I hate to state the obvious, but that's naive. Organizations like Truth need to realize that with all the bullshit that they're doing, they aren't realizing the consequences of their actions. Nicotine is an addictive substance. Its not really helping nicotine addicts to air commercials about people who've experienced the most extreme effects of smoking and explicitly showing what smoking does to your lungs and other organs. Not to mention the fact that, at the moment, the tobacco industry is a vital part of the American and world economy. Then there are the people who rely on tobacco sales, in one way or another, to survive. Short-sighted organizations who seek to bring down the tobacco industry don't realize that in the long run, their actions might just do more harm than good.
I smoke and I know I'm slowly killing myself. I try to quit, but I've made peace with the fact that I am doing harm to my body every time I light up a cigarette. Many like me have come to some sort of awareness of the fact, so people just need to shut the fuck up about it. The most annoying thing is when someone I don't even know comes up to me when I'm smoking and says, "You should stop because you're killing yourself."

Aliens obviously exist. Like I said in another thread, it would be naive to think that we're the only lifeforms in this universe. Even with the varying conceptions of what an alien looks like, it doesn't change the matter.
I suppose that ghosts exist. Just as there are beings on this physical plane that exist in a physical form, I believe that there are incorporeal beings that inhabit this plane of existence or one very closely tied to ours that have yet to move on. What is a ghost anyway? Its a disembodied spirit bound to this world by some sort of attachment or unresolved issue.
I also believe in psychosomatic anomalies that can be described as experiences involving aliens or ghosts. There are many people who have such a belief in ghosts, aliens, or other paranormal entities and even if there isn't a conscious desire to see them or experience them, the subconscious desire is so strong that they sometimes manifest some type of situation where they experience the paranormal. I guess you can compare it to Haruhi, in a sense. The whole thing ties into my beliefs about the nature of existence, but that's something that would take some time to explain and I don't want to stray too far from the topic at hand.

Oh man, how come green hair blows so much in real life?
I wouldn't say that. My friend, who is already hot to begin with, dyed her hair green once and she was even hotter. It really just depends on the person. There are some people who can make any color work.
I forgot, I've always been a sucker for girls who've been through rough shit in their lives.

I'll drink a beer on occasion but, I prefer the hard stuff to normal beer. The only thing I can understand is. If someone drinks beer why do they drink the shit that tastes like piss. They drink the stuff that looks and tastes like piss and yet scoff when you set down with a Lager or a Dark Ale.If I have to buy beer, I don't buy it for the taste because its rare that I can get a good tasting beer that I can get drunk off of. I go for the highest alcohol content and hope for the best. If someone else has it and offers, I'll take it if I don't have anything else or because I constantly require something to drink, alcoholic or not.
For me, a "beer" is a meal drink. I'll head to a local pub, watch a game (rugby, American or Euro football, baseball), order a philly cheesesteak or some similar sandwich and order a pint. So I drink "beer" based on taste. If I want something harder I reach for rum, etc.
Though I don't drink to get drunk (I put myself at that line). Since knowing myself I am probably a violent or emotional drunk. So its a state I avoid. I enjoy drinking though and I'm confident I can hold my weight with many a vet.
I'm not really that bad when I'm drunk. I seem to be able to maintain my normal personality, to an extent. I've been violent a couple times and in those cases they were justifiably provoked. Sometimes, I'll just fuck around and talk big or act like a complete idiot, but I do that all the time so its nothing to out of the ordinary. Most of the time I'm usually just playing video games, looking at hentai, or getting into really deep philosophical conversations. I still wouldn't trust myself behind the wheel of a car because when I drink I do tend to lose some of my coordination.

I'm still trying to come up with a response to this. I don't think its possible for a human to be "perfect." In fact, the nature of humanity does tend to lean very closely towards imperfection. I've found a lot of women in anime that are so much better than real people, but even they have flaws. I think the only way for me to describe a theoretically perfect woman would be to make some kind of composite using a whole bunch of women.
